• Master-detail with independent tables

  I use JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0
  
  I have two independent table (not related by foreign key), but I have to post this tables table of master / detail in the user interface and allow operation in milk CURD.
  The two table have a common field so I can use this field to display link to make the relationship. Even if there is no foreign key, association is not created when I created the business components
  
  Will I have to create an association for master-detail?
  
  I created a view link and tested the functionality and his work has found.
  
  Are there overhead if I create a master detail without an association?

  I have a master-detail with Show/Hide advanced table table advanced using a link. When the master is questioned (data providers), the secondary table (supplier Sites) returns all rows that is as expected.

  However, I want to further filter the secondary table based on additional parameters of an OAMessageTextInput Bean. I can recover the user entry of the bean of text input, but my problem is that I'm unable to filter the DetailVO.

  	OAInnerDataObjectEnumerator enum1 = new OAInnerDataObjectEnumerator (pageContext, innerTable);

  Browse objects then remove detail that I didn't.

• Jdev10 - master - detail

  I m using jdev10.1.3.4. In my PB, I have 3 tables that have primary-foreign relations. table 1 refers to the 2nd table, 2nd table relates to the 3rd table, as master-detail-detail.
  
  In DataControlPalette, the 1st table collection 2nd collection of table, 2nd table collection contains 3rd collection of table. (by collapsing sign +).
  I've linked '1st collection of table' with af:selectOneListBox, '2nd table collection' binded to another af:selectOneListBox. Finally I binded '3rd table collection' to an af:readonlytable.
  
  When I m selecting a ListBox element 1, 2nd ListBox is not updated with the values. to select a 2nd list box item does not update the values in the table.
  
  Please help me. I m novice jdev. link forward associated applicable example is available.

  I'm using JHeadstart 11.1.1.3.35 and having major problems trying to create records of master / details in a layout of the wizard
  
  Department Master (shape, style Assistant, insert enabled, new line on entry)
  Group of retail employees (form, data dependant, allowed insert, update has allowed)
  
  Using schema HR with a view link between services and employees
  
  Main group Department (Assistant)
  = > Region of the element (all the fields of the Department)
  = > Region container
  = > Region group (Group of retail employees)
  
  (NB - if I used a group of the region as step in the wizard at a higher level, the following error occurred during the generation which is why I wrapped it in a container of the region...

  Nothing works well. I want to be able to use a wizard to create a record of master / detail in presentation view shape-to-shape. Is it possible, using a detail group, or do I have to create a separate view object that contains two master entity objects / detail in it and then just use the only VO in the Group Assistant of JHeadstart.
  
  This seems a very basic requirement, I clearly do something wrong!

  To start in design mode, you must create the Group NewDeptEMp as a top-level group, so he will have his own taskflow. You can then define the new display line on the input property.

  In your wizard NewDept, you create a group of the region DIRECTLY under the container of the separatePages region, check "Include as ADFc region" then select the NewDeptEMp group.

• Unique constraint in the form of master detail error

  Hi all

  I need help, the following requirement.

  I have a master detail form developed on master-child table. the tables have the composite key.

  Old masters has a composite key on columns (A, B)

  Children table has a composite key on columns (A, B, C)

  Child block look something like below

  C       A          B

  10 AAA 1000

  20 1300 BBB

  30 CCC 1400

  40 DDD 1200

  Increments of column C with 10 for each record, and if a new record is insert in intermediaries the records it is incremented to 5.

  My requirement is when an end user attempts to insert record between 20 and 30 or 30 and 40 and clicks on save, the value of the C column must regenerate as shown below

  I tried above in a way because, before approving the changes to the table, I update the existing values in the table of the C column so I would not get unique constraint error.

  When you click the button Save, I get a constraint exception. Hope I made my requirement clear.

  Can someone give me a clue to this implementation.

  With this update, all your C-columnvalue became negative. When you post the form thereafter, forms update agaion records one by one the new positive figures. Because the numbers of 'old' in the db are now negative, there will be no violation-UK.

  For example, I have a table with 3 columns as address (input box), Country (a selection list box), State (select one box list). I create State LoVs using view accessors for table and country view object. By choosing a country, I need to dig the status column values according to the selected country.

  I guess that you need a "cascading LOVs.
  (1) create viewObject for list of country values. Named VO1.
  (2) create viewObject for list of status values. The name of VO2.
  (3) create view for (variable binding) VO2 criteria that may restrict the result by country.
  (4) create view accessor to get VO1.
  (5) create view accessor to get the VO2. Set the value of the bind variable which can provide country information dynamically. I guess it must be a Groovy expression.
  (View accessor 6) Create country LOV on step 4).
  (View accessor 7) create the State LOV on step 5).

  Fact

  On the view layer, you can enable PPR between countries and the States of the attributes.

  I have a page with 2 legs and they both contains an af:table created by dragging an instance of VO in the user interface.

  The 1st tab uses a master VO while the 2nd uses a VO detail.

  Between 2 your, there is not a link of VO master / detail.

  Opening Details tab I update the secondary table by calling the method ExecuteWithParams of the detail VO instance (in a managed bean).

  I would now like to generate a report that loop on the master table and that, for each line of master:

  • He writes in the report;
  • loops of registration of details (which are based on the master record) and also writes the report.

  
  

  Could you kindly suggest me which is the best way to achieve that through a code to write in a managed bean?

  Here I am interested how do to loop through the data, not in how to write the report.

  The request of the employees table looks very good. Although it seems more logical to get the service id of the employeesEO instead of DepratmentsEO.

  The next step should be to create a viewLink between the DepartmentsVO and the EmployeesVO based on the service ID field.

  Once you have done this, add the EmployeesVO as a DepartmentsVO child in yout request module (and it will appear as such in the DataControl), so use these your to create master/detail table.

  Updating the data based on the selected master will be automatically managed by ADF.

  simple step see creating a form detailed master with APEX - Assistant Master retail

  and check how to maintain the relationship between two tables,

  simple return the packaged application «Sample of Masters details»

  and try to understand this concept...

  In your example, use Hotel_list.ID as a foreign key in the table Hotel_mapping

  and maintain the relationship with the column ID...

  and choose the display type of the column Hotel_list.ID in table Hotel_mapping as List(Query Based LOV) select.

  otherwise the best way is to create sample on oracle.apex.com

  I have a plan and I need to update a table accordingly to what the user selects on the plan. For example, the user clicks on a State on the map and watch the State news. I tried to use master detail that connects between the map and the table but I don't seem to work. Does anyone have a suggestion or a workaround?

  Probably you have not added State column in Table guest section of the table display. Or maybe the status column in the view map and table are mapped to the columns of different logics.

  Its pretty simple and I never found problems with master-detail map to the Table.

  In order to perform an update on a view - it must be a "editable view. You try to update the MASTER block (based on the view)? Otherwise, make sure that you change the property update block allowed to 'No' as it is default to 'yes '. If you do not update the MASTER block, make sure that your point of view is "can". • Master-detail tables

  We have a request to change the master detail data. I dragged the main view as a form and view retail as a table and the navigation and every thing works fine. Each time, we change the master deta relevant detail data is visible in the secondary table.
  
  But we view detail data (more than 20 columns) to fit the size of the form. And we also display the detail data of label next to each column for each detail line. Could you please suggest any component that meets our needs. Retail, data should also be displayed something like form of adf with all detailed lines displayed.
