Attribute of 'hidden text' import Microsoft Word

In InDesign CC 2015, there is a corresponding feature for the attribute 'hidden text' which is in Microsoft Word? I use the attribute 'hidden text' in Word so that I see some texts (such as the guidelines of another person) when I add a file and need to know where to place the content. When I imported my MS Word document in InDesign, hidden text becomes visible.

You can add a style that includes a condition, and then show or hide the condition in the conditional text panel.

  • How to transfer text from microsoft word in the body of the email without errors in the form.

Whenever I try to copy and paste a document in the body of an e-mail (in hotmail) the result is that hotmail changes the formatting of it. Hotmail will add spaces between lines that were not there before. It is very annoying and is wasting my time. To make things even worse, sometimes the formatting appears when I'm composing the mail, but when the mail gets actually to the beneficiary of the formatting is messed up. It makes me hurt people, especially the employers to whom I send my letter of motivation in this way. This happens not only to copy and paste form microsoft word. It happens when I copy Adobe and the internet explore and almost all the other programs out there also. Of more, not only to change the spacing, but this can change the size of the text too. Do you know how I can fix this error?

Hotmail and other e-mail clients may change the behavior of the Enter key to give two lines instead of one.  If you use SHIFT-ENTER in Word, then he may interpret as a single line.

But if you are corresponding with people professionally, I would suggest that you get an email address that does not depend directly from Hotmail or other free e-mail services.  You can easily register your own domain name and get email from that or you can subscribe to more reliable services is Hotmail.

  • JPG to text in microsoft word

I have a report and an upcoming project. The report that I do has some errors and I want to go and change it. What site Internet can I use to change an image scanned in text? I had one that worked, but it was just a bunch of random letters and numbers. Any of you have any suggestions for programs that actually WORK AND COME OUT ALMOST CORRECTLY WITH ONLY ABOUT 3 MISTAKES?   It's ok if it costs money.

Looking for an OCR program. It is possible that your scanning software has this built in. If not there a lot of apps in the store, search for "OCR". I have not tried one of these, but it's worth a given that most are free.

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro, which works well, but it's expensive. There is a full feature trial if you want only short term.

  • Best way to import text Microsoft Word?

Newbie question. I was importing Microsoft Word text using the Clipboard. In other words, I'm going to open up Microsoft Word, open my document, all select, copy and then go to InDesign and paste. InDesign me give a block of text with my text and I just resize the columns. The text is available in all weird, and I have to Stylize, of course. Sometimes I get some junk as nonbreaking characters and other hidden characters that screw me until I tell me what happens. My question is: what is the best way to import Microsoft Word text that will introduce mistakes least? Thank you.

Much better way to do this is to save your text as Doc, Docx or RTF. And use the file > command place in indesign to bring it. And if you check the Import Options in the same window where you choose a file, you can decide how you want to place your text - formatted, unformatted etc...

  • Import of word problems

    Hi guys,.

I got a text from Microsoft Word in file type .doc who changes the active control. I thought it was the problem of import it into Indesign CS4, but after stopping control changes the problem persists. The import of text prove to be an empty text box. If I decide to disable styles when importing I see it, but it's not the idea, because the original text was already throughout the body of the text, the heading Style, and the features I need.

Any help or ideas? BTW, the text is in the .doc file type (I know that ID CS4 can not read the .docx types).

    Thank you

    SEBS

Well, that's a very broad, very empty column you have there.

I have no idea why Word files are correct placement, but we're not. I've never had anything drop a Word .doc-.rtf conversion >; even things like a WordArt object and the complex tables survive .rtf conversion. The only thing I can think is that maybe there is something in the Word styles on them selfs to InDesign, but who is broken or removed by conversion .rtf. The reason why I have this assumption is that you said that your Word files are style with care, but the TEST.doc you posted, everything has the Normal style.

But it's all speculation for me, at this point. I don't know what is happening in your InDesign document.

  • Big freeze of ID of Word document text import

I converted a long Word document to PDF via InDesign and when I import the Word doc text, ID always freezes.

I want to preserve styles and formatting in the text but, unfortunately, the freeze occurs at the beginning when the progress bar of the document implementation of Microsoft Office Word 2007 displays either "treatment of attributes of character...". "or"processing the attributes of table... ". »

My problem is that it's such a document with a lot of italics, bold and styles I want to resume to InDesign in order to speed up the design process.

RTF will be fine and will retain all the bold and italics and other styles. RTF is synonymous with FORMAT of TEXT RICH and I think it's better than standard saved the word .doc; to import into InDesign.

    Try the following steps.

    In Word:

    1. File > save as
    2. Choose rich TEXT (that way you don't overwrite the original file)

    In InDesign:

    1. Start a new document - Virgin - don't worry about the page size (A4 will do) and you don't have to worry about margins (standard margin will do)
    2. Use file > place and import the RTF file you just saved
    3. If that imports ok - then select all text
    4. File > export and choose the format RTF (rich TEXT format)

Now use this new RTF import into your page layout

(there is no need to worry about the images, you must reimport all images that are in the word through file > Place; if you have images in your Word document.) Make sure that you use the same source file as when you did in Word)

The reasons for the above procedure is that there is a lot of unnecessary styles made with Word - and import in InDesign and export to RTF a charges makes a clean to use with InDesign file.

  • How can I import a Word text, including paragraph withdrawals?

    I use 7 Captivate.

I need to import the text of a series of documents written in Microsoft Word.

When I copy and paste most of the formatting is preserved. Bold, italic and underline import perfectly, but I lose the paragraphs indented. They all are aligned to the left.

Is it possible to import the first lines indented paragraphs?

    Thanks in advance.

Interesting Lilybiri; But what I see as a 'bad practice' is charging $600 for a program that cannot do some of the basics that many others do it without flinching.

Moreover, the last time I checked InDesign were used to create mLearning programs. Thanks anyway.

  • Mouse don't work in Microsoft Word to select text, or highlight text to copy or add features like bold/italic/underlined.

After you paste an e-mail message in a Microsoft Word document (which I do all the time), my mouse no longer works to click anywhere in the document and it doesn't allow me to use the side scroll bar.  I can still click on the tabs and controls to the top of the page buttons up and down and up, but I can't highlight text underlined/bold/italic to copy or move in the document.  I use these features all the time and I am very frustrated.  I can still do all of these things in other applications such as email, Facebook, Internet, but not in Word.  Help, please.  I already checked my mouse settings and drivers and they are all up to date without errors.  I restarted my computer; the only step I can think is reinstall Microsoft Office Professional 2007.  I appreciate any help you can provide.  Respectfully, Julie

  • PDF attributes - special characters - Microsoft word has changed

I create multiple PDFs (with Acrobat 9 Pro) every day from Microsoft Word 2003. When I do a lot of changes to the MS Word document, I compare the new PDF from the old PDF. The menu of Acrobat 9, I use the Document / compare and select "reports, spreadsheets, presentations magazine.

I have a lot of special characters in my Word document, such as chips, and symbol characters such as ' less than or equal to ' and ' greater than or equal to ". Even if none of the pages with these symbols have changed, the special characters are marked as changes.

It's really annoying. I have to watch many false "changed pages" and decide to ignore them. Today, I've recreated a 62 page PDF file. There is only two pages I had edited in Word format. When I compared the files PDF, he marked 30 pages with modifications.

Each page with a point of the bullet has been marked as a change. When I pass the mouse on this point in the Acrobat summary compare, it shows a different size ball and indicates that the police has changed. But actually, nothing has changed.

I'm curious to know if anyone knows how to keep these elements of flag changes Acrobat. In earlier versions of Acrobat, there was a way to say to ignore the changes of fonts. Maybe someone could tell me how to do this in Acrobat 9...

One possibility could be that the fonts are not included.
