Audio files not appearing is not on iPod Nano

Just bought the Nano and am struggling to understand how it works.  Namely:

I dragged a few (.wavs and MP3) audio files from my office on the icon of the Ipod that was also on my desk.  A green "plus" sign popped up.  Good sign.

I have released the files and got an icon of activity indicating that files have been copied to the Ipod.  So far so good.

I hear that his metal "thunk" which means that the file transfer was completed successfully.  Great!

But then when I go on my Nano, the files are not found.

Can someone out there who's smarter than me give me some advice?  Thank you.

This is not a method for loading the songs on an iPod.  ITunes allows you to manage songs on an iPod.  You're a Mac user, iTunes is already installed.  If these song files that you have added manually (using the Finder) are still on the iPod, drag them to the trash.  Don't forget to empty the trash.

Launch iTunes, connect the iPod.  The iPod is displayed as a button on the device on the horizontal bar that runs through the window iTunes.  Click to display the settings of the iPod summary screen in the iTunes window.  If you want to use the manual method of drag and drop (kinda like what you were doing with Finder earlier), find the check box for the videos and music manually manual.  If it is not already checked, check mark and click Apply (your iPod can be set that way already).

Then show your music library (click on the button at the left end of the horizontal bar of the music ) in the iTunes window.  Towards the middle of the horizontal bar, click playlists.  A side bar appears along the left side of the window, with your iPod listed under devices.  Use the control to the right end of the horizontal bar to choose your vision of the music library.  I like to use the songs view, to display a list of plain sortable song with columns.  She draws a song to the sidebar in your list, hold-click-drag and drop it on the iPod.  You can do it with more than one song chosen at the same time on the list.  Or you can use the display Albums or artists for library and drag a set of songs from iPod.  Alternatively, instead of drag and drop, right click on an element or selection and add it to the Playlist-> [name of the iPod].

If you use the method to Manage manually , you must also know how to manually remove songs from iPod.  In the sidebar, click on the small triangle to the left of the iPod, to fall to the bottom of its list of content (indented below the iPod).  In the content list, click music.  On the right, the list of songs from iPod.  Select a song you want to delete and press delete on the keyboard.  You can do this with more than one song chosen at the same time.

You can also use the automatic synchronization method to load songs on iPod (instead of manually), which is often more practical (depending on how you use your iPod).  You can post back for more information on the configuration of Auto-Sync to the music.

    Hi Sam,

You need to contact HP Technical Support: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html?pageDisplay=support - and choose one of the options.  Chances are good that if it is out of warranty, support live probably cost so if you don't find the answers to your problems by looking for its base of knowledge and troubleshooting articles (I am looking how to restore factory settings, specifying the brand and exact model number of the computer - or find the computer first and then seeking) , or by mail to their Forums of the Community (like these, but for HP instead of Microsoft).  Do you have a genuine Windows installation disc, a set of recovery discs provided by HP or do you when you got the computer, or a restore Partition (and see how to get there)?

To be honest, I've never heard of a restoration process of plant requiring nothing more that runs the factory restore process and maybe some driver discs - I have never seen a guest "the two audio files" or something like that.  If you have no recovery disks and cannot make (the site should provide instructions on the process - we do not here because it is specific to HP and same which make and model of computer), then you can buy the discs of HP recovery (for a fee).  They should not allow these audio files or something else - the process should be simple.

If the process does not include a method to backup your data first, you can try to backup before performing the restore.  You can use Knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD (perhaps using another computer if necessary).  This should give you enough access to the system (if you do not have any other means) to backup your important data.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • iTunes syncs not apple iPod nano's music

I joined Apple music. I want to put the songs I buy my new 7 generation iPod Nano. He said: you cannot synchronize music on iPod, Apple I f you want to listen to the song on your iPod turns on iCloud on your iPod.

I have a nano. I don't see an option to turn on iCloud on my nano. How can I put these songs on my Nano?

Apple, why do you so hard to use synchronization!

    Dell Windows 8 (updated running

You can't load songs downloaded from Apple's music service on an iPod (except iPod touch).  Music by Apple downloads are written songs, songs owned not.  They have DRM (copy protection), as required by music producers.  Your iPod nano is unable to check the status of your subscription (no Internet connection).

  • 12.4.3.1 iTunes does not recognize iPod Nano

After updating iTunes to version 12.4.3.1, it can't find my iPod. It simply does not detect it. I tried solving the problems, and the iPod service is running.

The iPod is old, but is ideal for listening to audio books.

I've tried different USB ports without success.

    Any ideas?

All the old iPod, iPhone and iPad should be supported in the current generation of iTunes.

  • How can I erase all the files on my iPod Nano (6th generation) and start over?

I can sync is more manually all the files that I need on my iPod Nano (6th generation) to my Macbook (OS 10.6.8) because it is full.  Instead of delete folders and songs about the Nano, which would take forever, I'd rather delete it all and start by cleaning up the folder that I keep in my iTunes library (11.4), then by loading all on the Nano.

    How do I:

    (1) delete all music from the Nano?

    (2) see how many in the iPod folder in my iTunes library Macbook so I know what to remove?

I know this must be a simple process, but it's been a long time I did!  Thanks for any help out there.

When your iPod is connected to your MacBook, open iTunes, click on your iPod in the sidebar and in the 'Summary' tab, click 'Restore iPod.'

If you don't see the sidebar in iTunes, go to the view menu in the menu bar, and then click see the sidebar.

  • How can I play Applemusic on my iPod Nano for a workout

How can I play Applemusic on my iPod Nano for a workout

Unfortunately, you can not.  iPod nano doesn't have an Internet connection, so it cannot stream songs from Apple's music.  And if you download copies 'offline' Apple music songs in your iTunes library, these songs are "Subscriber" songs, is not the property of songs, iTunes does not synchronize them to iPods.  (The only iPod that can play songs from Apple's music is iPod touch).

  • Audio file does not appear in the timeline

I can play the video file (and the sound), the audio file integrated, in the form of source very well but when I drop the video file in the timeline panel does not display the audio file. This could be the cause? I can hear it first, why did he transfer the video to the timeline.

Very probably guilty: Source patch not enabled for an audio track.

I can drag an audio file of Ms on the timeline, but I need audio from my original file to synchronize my audio file recorded independently - used to be no problem... any ideas what I can not edit now?

    Hi Neil,

Drag / drop may not work if you don't have any enabl; e source patch or did not target the track for the same thing.

  • First Pro CC will not import ANY audio file, be it a mp3 or a part of a mp4 video (or other formats)

Any audio or video file that I drop at first will appear almost immediately with the window

    Audio compliance error

    Movie compilation error.

    Unknown error.

    Untitled picture.png

When I check the log error/events (little red X in the lower corner) this window says:

' 21/11/14 09:47:28 disc error has occurred while trying to access the following files:

    \\ipsse01\home$\myusername\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media cache Files\filename.mp3 44100.cfa ".

(The file is on my desk)

This happens at all, even that current audio files windows comes with in the folder 'Sample Music', I tried those too to nothing does not.

I am at a total loss. I'm new to first pro, but these are generic file formats, so I don't think that the problem is with the file. I have not tried to reinstall because I have to go to our one network administrator / computer specialist (who is also the accountant of the company) so that it can enter the username admin/pass in the pop-up box and she's often so busy. I try to avoid listening to it, if I do not need to (which unfortunately I tend to always have to do a lot)

    For reference, I'm under Win7 Professional 64-bit, 8 GB of RAM and a processor i7 - 4610M @ 3 .00GHz.

    Hey Kevin,

I had earlier tried to do, but it still doesn't work. Then the company we use for large it projects, suggested pointing where media cache files are saved to a new location, excluding my sync account (which is always saved on my hard drive) and a folder on the hard disk that has not been synchronized with the network. That seemed to fix finally!

Thanks for all the help and answers, if I really appreciate it!

You don't need Quicktime to play the mp3, but you need Flash player to play flash.

QuickTime, iTunes, RealPlayer, etc...  You can read some MP3s if you have a drive installed and the file type is associated with the default player and that the browser has the plugin necessary to launch the player.  It's a lot of 'ifs. '

Flash is easy because almost everyone has already.

I'm unable to use audio files that I imported into Garageband on my iPad. They have imported in icloud fine but are greyed out (I have other files that work very well) and I don't and then drag them into a song.

These are files aac (.m4a) @ 320 kbps bitrate

I recently moved to a project from one disk to another.

When I opened it the project folder I had to recreate a link to all the media which seemed to have a lot of success. However the audio files do not seem to play any sound. When I tell one of the audio files in the finder window, it take me for an alias file. When I try to open this file, it indicates that the original file cannot be found.

I tried to remove the entire library of files sound and re-import them back in. But still, it does not solve this ridiculous issue.

I've never had a problem syncing my iPod classic.  Yesterday I bought a song at the iTunes Store, and afterwards, when I synced my iPod he removed my entire contents except the song that I just bought.  Error message says cannot be synchronized because file not found.  What should I do?

First of all, quit iTunes and restart.  Then re-sync your iPod?

If the problem persists, try disconnecting in iTunes, so that you are no longer connected to your Apple ID.  Your library iTunes music shows still all of your songs?
