Audio imported slows or repeats

Well, here I am again... upgraded to Captivate 3 on a powerful desktop computer and I have the same audio problem, I had with Captivate 2 on a laptop. What is the secret to importing WAV or MP3 files so they don't slow down or repeat on each slide?

Audio files were recorded in a studio and released as AIFF files. I convert them into WAV and MP3 and have tried different settings for the conversion and in Captivate when publishing. Nothing works...

If I use MP3 files in Captivate, they come out slightly slowed down when published (no matter what setting I use), so that the narrator's voice dropped an octave and speak more slowly than the original audio file. If I use WAV files and post them, they seem a lot, but the same audio file is repeated on every slide, any audio, I had placed on the slide.

Can anyone help? I asked this question before, and no one seemed to know what I was talking or could not provide a solution. How in the world anyone has audio of Captivate to play correctly when published?

Thanks (and crossed our fingers).

Jim

I think I solved this problem. The culprit seems to be not to maintain the same rate of encoder and sample rate when converting between audio file formats. I started with AIFF files with a sampling frequency of 48,000 kHz. I retouched as needed and then re-recorded (always as AIFF files) to a sample rate of 44.100 kHz. I used Final Cut Pro to do it, but any good audio editor will work (WavePad is an inexpensive and very good choice on Windows platform). Then I standardized audio and reduction of noise applied using WavePad (essentially by applying additional filters to make the best sound file), and then resaved the file as an MP3 file, with a flow binary Constant of 98 kbps (do not use Variable Bit Rate... Captivate can not handle it... It's one of the things I found led to idle audio or audio repeats). I also used a parameter that is the MP3 Mono file (my original files were stereo but Captivate doesn't seem to like stereo). So now, after you import the MP3 file in Captivate, do not use the Captivate audio editor to turn down the volume or edit audio. It also seems to cause audio problems when publishing. I do everything for the audio file outside Captivate first. Now, when you're ready to publish, be sure that your audio export Captivate is 44,100 kHz 98 kbps (that is, it matches exactly what are your MP3 audio files). So far, it has solved the problems of audio slowdown or repeat an audio file across multiple slides.

I also found that instead of files MP3 with WAV in Captivate files causes major problems. I know it's weird because when you import MP3 files in Captivate, they are converted into WAV files then converted into MP3 when released. Go figure.

It seems that nobody at Adobe or to one of the experts here on this Forum have never run into this question, because nobody had even a suggestion for how to resolve this problem. Odd. It happened whenever I used the feature to publish in Captivate 2 and now 3. It took me hours to try variations of each possible encoder, file format bit rate and sampling rate to finally find some that caused no problems for the Capitvate. The folks at Adobe had to spend some time 4 Captivate ensuring audio import and export functions are more stupid and can manage the files without any problems that occur. Not everyone is an audio wiz.

  • Satellite L450D: audio stutters slows down and jumps

The sound on this laptop is terrible, whenever I do anything on the laptop everything by playing a song (my music) the audio stutters - slows - jumps and sounds generally garbage.

I have a collection of great mp3 on another computer and try to listen to songs while surfing or working on this laptop.
It is almost impossible to listen to them.
I thought that this could be due to streaming over a wireless network, so I have a few copied on the laptop, but there is absolutely no difference

I tried Windows Media Player and winamp, changed and played with the settings and finally reinstalled the driver (Realtek Semiconductor)
    Yet is still is catastrophic.

I think back the useless thing.

I assume you have tested with factory settings and drivers pre-installed.
    What to say?
Try disabling all unnecessary background activities. Some scan of the HARD drive or anything else is perhaps responsible for stuttering. The fact is that this laptop doesn't have Harman/Kardon speakers, so you can not expect better sound quality than on laptop with these high-quality speakers.

In the end, I must say that I agree with you. If you are not satisfied, try to contact your local dealer and bring the laptop. Get a new one.

  • Audio imported cuts in the publication

This is a new (for me anyway!)

Normally I record and edit all my audio to the presenter, but I'm working on a course where I use audio imported on the slides. Import went well. I did my editing in presenter, who went well, as expected. I added our company standard.5 second of silence at the beginning and end of each slide. All great.

But when I publish it, the last second or two audio at the end of the slide is getting cut off, in the reading.

Normally, I would have all the bullets during the click on the narrative and the audio should be synchronized to the top, but in this case, because the speaker is talking about bullets rather than read them Word for Word, I chose to not to have all the animations on the balls, so everything happens at the same time and then the sound plays. That's when I noticed the problem.

I tried to place the chip on each slide 1 as 'after' then bullets 'with', but not joy. I also tried setting all the balls in 'on click' and have them enter this second half of silence before the start of the audio, but which is not solved the problem no more.

    Any ideas?

    Some photos in the dark:

Try adding 2 seconds of silence at the end of the slide and see crime if cela help/hurt/does nothing.

Try to change this audio file in another program (Audacity is free) and add as the second desire.5 of silence there re - import the audio. See if that makes a difference.

  • Audio imported not PP chronology. MP4

I'm getting horrible I'll have enough of these problems with CC2015. Here is the problem today.

Audio does not matter in my calendar. I use two types of video clips... MP4 and .mxf. I used these clips of the YEARS without any problems.

    I'm on CC2015, all updates.

    Windows 7

    I7

    Quadro 4000

    24 GB ram

Here's what's happening. I import a clip in the project Panel. Then I drag him in the timeline and audio does not matter. I double click on the item in the project Panel and he plays WITH the audio in the source monitor.

The only way I can get the audio in the timeline panel is to take the clip in the project Panel and make its own sequence. Make my cut and then cut and past the clip in the main timeline. Can I get audio and video.

What the hell is happening? How can I work for years without this problem and suddenly is that the only way things work?

PS. If I drag the clip directly in the timeline of the hd on which it is recorded, audio imported. If I can remove the timeline and then try and drag it from the project don't sign... no audio plus.

I deleted all the Cache files of the media directly from the Solution Explorer and leave everything again in line. I rebooted a hundred times, I cleaned the cache directly from first, I imported the footage into new projects... but now, each project behaves in this way...

I'm tired of wasting DAYS trying to understand the problems with this software.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

I can create a camtasia file to show what is happening.

Usually its all in the correction of the source.

  • Photoshop CS6 on Surface Pro 3 won't play no audio imported into the timeline.

Well enough as the title says: I hear no audio imported into a chronology in CS6 on my Pro 3 of Microsoft Surface. I have Photoshop CS6 installed on my desktop PC and on my Surface Pro 3. Both play very well outside Photoshop, audio and audio plays fine within Photoshop, too. No idea why I have problems with the CS6 on my Surface?

I uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop, and the problem is now resolved. No idea how, but * shrug *.

  • No audio imported after the first clip

I have been dealing with this problem for about 3 weeks now. I can import the clip with audio when I import the first clip, but eventually all the clips have no audio imported into the project.

It's weird. I have not found someone online with the same problem. I use Pro CC first.

I'll probably have to delete the application and reinstall it, but I was hoping that there is an easier option.

  • Breeze Presenter 5 - Audio import works is not in windows 7

    Hi all

We currently use presenter Breeze 5, audio import feature does not not in the machine of windowns 7. But it works fine in windows XP machine. Can someone help me on this page or any suggesstion?

    Thanks in advance

    Sajjad.

Well, there is no such thing as the Breeze or Breeze presenter. The products were renamed years to Acrobat Connect Pro and Adobe Presenter. Acrobat Connect Pro 8 is purchased as a hosted service or your own server. Adobe Presenter 7.07 is the last and Adobe Presenter 7.05 was the first version to support Windows 7. We recommend 7.07 as the latest version and you can buy this version. I don't think there is a upgrade price to move from 5 to 7. You would have to buy version 7.07 presenter.

  • Audio display problem - stutter, repeat / loops

I'm having a problem after making and exporting to a file, a small part of the audio stutters and repeats. I tried to export using different codecs (h.264, pro res) - the problem persists. It's always the same audio portion each time.

As a test, I isolated this part and marked on/off it has exported as a clip and the problem was gone. The problem seems to occur only when I try to export the entire sequence. Other tests I tried and failed: place in a layer of audio slug, export audio as a .acc and re-import audio on a single layer and turn off all audio layers existing

I use SOUL for export. Another problem (?) when I try to do a direct export of first - it goes right down.

Someone at - it this problem and workarounds? Thank you

    System:

    iMac 2013

    El Capitan 10.11.5

Latest creation CC Pro, SOUL CC update

Update Premiere Pro. It should be fixed.

  • Captivate 5 - Audio import questions

I'm trying to import an audio file of 30 min on a blade.  It was in Captivate 4 no problem.  In version 5, the chronology is slow and often play not at all.  When I saw or publish the slide, it plays for a few seconds and then turns off.

Is there a size limit of audio file for Captivate 5?

    Hello

You try to play the audio file on the timeline? Also, I see validation you have inserted an audio file of 30 minutes on 1 single slide.

Audio playing on the question of the chronology:

Captivate slide timeline starts to get lazy for a longer period and it is designed to operate for a maximum of 999secs (about 16mins). So I suggest you dispatch the audio file on multiple slides, say 5 slides with 6mins each. In this way, in my view, the problem of chronology would resolve.

The question of the time publish:

You are the project on a hosting server and play on a client? Also, what is the percentage of preloader in Captivate? This can be found in preferences of Captivate. Do the following-

    1. open your project in Captivate 5

    2. go to the menu items "Edition > Preferences.

    3. in the 'Préférences' dialog box, go to "project > Start and End" and look for the percentage preloader.

Set it to 100% (if not already) and check if audio plays project now.

    Let us know your comments.

    Kind regards

  • CP5: audio is slowed down to a crawl when published

I have audio problems to export correctly in a captivate presentation, that I recently converted to Captivate 4 to Captivate 5. EVERY bit of audio throughout the entire the presentation has been slowed. Inside Captivate, all played at the right speed, but once it has previewed or published, all audio games to speed about half (with comical effects). The rest of the presentation plays at the appropriate speed.

Is it possible to fix this? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

    6. Select your preferences file cleverly named (.cpr and apply named - it brings air into the audio)

    Hi rt,.

Genius! Thanks for your workflow - it worked like a charm on my Captivate 2 (Yes 2!)  project. I have not used CP since 2007, but need it now.

I left step 8 - I'll let Adobe work on the financial terms of your reward.

  • audio import

I imported an audio excerpt of 2-3 seconds. The audio clip does not play after 2 seconds.

I have other clips like that. It's the same situation. Some imports fine, but some do not work. Thanks for any input.

I read on playback and import, but I'm always intrigued by the present.

What are the specifications of the audio? Format, bitrate, sample rate.

I created a slide show and imported into windows movie maker very well. Now, I'm trying to add audio. I bought a .mp3 at amazon. When I try to import it, I get the following error message:

    Hello steveb2009,

The music file is protected.  This is why you cannot import into MovieMaker.  The second proposed link Chris explains the files protected by DRM.
