With the help of Microsoft Office 2003 in Windows 7 that has been changed in Windows XP
The company I work for recently had to buy a new computer because our hard drive crashed. We were accustomed to using Windows XP, so the newcomer with Windows 7, but they managed to install Windows XP on it, which is good, since that's what we are used to. However, the new computer came with OpenOffice and not Microsoft Word or Excel. Some of the functionality is the same, but it is quite different and slows me down because the formatting of the documents is not the same and we don't have time to reformat all of our existing documents. We have been using Word 2003 and Excel 2003. Can someone tell me if buy us Microsoft Office 2003, if it will work on our existing Windows 7 with Windows XP change? If so, our existing documents created in the 2003 version will remain unchanged or anyway should I reformat them? Any help you can provide is MUCH appreciated. Thank you!
If your company has put Windows XP on it - which was a 100% wipe. This computer has no idea that he had never Windows 7 top because it cannot read some sticker is on it (product key/certificate of authenticity), nor can it read the invoice which was purchased with it.
When they suffered the (formatted) system and installed Windows XP pn it cleanly and updated it - they should have installed other software you needed in the context of your work. Which probably included Office 2003.
OpenOffice is free - anyone can get it. If you own a license for Microsoft Office 2003, you do not - you might have installed on Windows 7, or you can install it on Windows XP now. (License and support).

Windows vista and microsoft office
I have never been able to use microsoft office products, since I got my pc. Was not that important because I had a working pc I use. I don't do that anymore. I was never able to find the so-called theproduct code provided with my pc so I could access office documtns. I would like to be able to buy and download microsoft office so that I don't need to rely on it, but not find much that is compatible. Is the best answer to switch operating systems, then get software?
Thank you very much. I'm going to buy and download

Is a program to open zip included in Windows Vista or Microsoft Office files?
Try to open a zip file and Windows Vista can't seem to accomplish. Also have Microsoft Office. Is there a file that automatically opens zip files in any of the two? How to open a zip file?
It is included with Vista, but is called decompression/compression instead of compression/decompression.
Here's briefly how to do it:http://www.ehow.com/how_4963978_open-zip-files-vista.html.
If it doesn't, the Zip file associations have been lost somehow and must be repaired (I'm not sure what caused it - maybe some setting inadvertently or the hidden keyboard command).
Here is a link to how to restore Vista zip file association: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/65254-zip-file-support-restore.html this should restore for compressed files zip file association and hopefully remove of open file (but which may take another measure).
Here is another link on how to enable and disable the files compressed in Vista: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/93827-zip-file-compressed-folders.html.
Here is a link on how to restore default binding settings in Vista: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/233243-default-file-type-associations-restore.html. This should also restore default associations of open files that include no zip.
Between these three links, you should be able to restore files zip compressed file association and not with open files - indeed, return things to their default settings.
Here are some additional links that may be useful if the three above do not resolve the problem:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/91920-unassociate-file-extention-type.html,http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/restore-and-reset-file-association-in-windows-vista-back-to-original-default/,http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/and http://www.winhelponline.com/articles/105/1/File-association-fixes-for-Windows-Vista.html.
I hope this helps. Good luck!

How can I reinstall Vista and Microsoft Office
Hello world
I had Vista reinstalled in January this year and have since been away for 8 months and not used the computer. Now I come back I had a few problems with it (date and time keeps changing, Outlook gel etc.), although not major also tried to transfer the information from my laptop on the desk and really it mucked up. I have 2 and 3 copies of things etc. I have now transferred all the information on the desktop on an external drive. I copied it over, not save it. What I want to do is reinstall Vista Office and then the programs I want to. There is a lot of information that was on my machine, I don't want to. What is the right way, I have to do this? I need to remove the information from the desktop computer or reinstall Vista automatically will do that?
I sincerely appreciate your assistance. I only did the first reinstall it was made by a computer repairier.
Helen
Hi Helen,
If you try to start from scratch, the new facility is the option.
Note: after a clean installation, all data, programs, and drivers on the computer will be lost. It is recommended to make a backup of your important data before performing any installation. You need to reinstall the device drivers. Make sure that you back up office documents before re-formatting of the computer.
You can follow the steps mentioned in the link below to reinstall Windows Vista.
Installation and reinstallation of Windows Vista
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-Vista
Insert the office disc and start the Setup (.exe), follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
You can post your query on Office Forums using reinstallation of Office

Microsoft Office 2003 in Microsoft vista Ultimate icon display problem.
Hello
I have a computer laptop sony vaio with Windows Vista Ultimate Microsoft. I have connected to the external portable hard drive in Windows XP system as a hard drive. I got the backu. After that, I connected the hard drive of my laptop. then after Microsoft Office icons are not showing in correctly. its unknown icon of projection. but my office applications work properly. Can I recharge the icons as a same as before. I use office 2003.
Can someone help me please.
I don't know if it will work in these conditions, but you can try to rebuild the icon cache:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/117229-icon-cache-rebuild.html.
If it does not, go to Windows Explorer and check C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Office\ (at this point I don't know what he could tell - perhaps Office 11 or something like that - because I don't have any more than the desktop version and I forgot how the folder structure is named - but you want the folder containining (, all the program icons to start the Office programs) and see if the executable program icons have changed as well. If not, right-click on each one and then click on create a shortcut (desktop) - do it twice, so you will have one for the office and another to replace the one that is not going to start (and how much more you need based on the number of shortcut icons that you have). If the icons of the programs also display incorrectly.
If it does not, then there is no specific functionality of Ofice 2003 (or later versions) to simply change the icons to their original forms. Try the repair Office option in the:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821593. One of the options included (that can be verified) is to restore the desktop shortcuts and which can solve the problem.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

I need to have windows 2010 for one of my college classes and I only microsoft office 2007. If I update to windows server 12 it all that comes with?
No, Microsoft Office is a product developed by Microsoft Corporation to buy. It does not come with Windows at all.
Buy Microsoft Office suites 2013 and Office 365 subscriptions...
Windows Server 2012 is an operating system for network used to manage large networks of computers, and provides services such as file and print, authentication, security, backup of client computers and Web sites host to name a few.

Windows 8 comes with the costume of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)?
Wait, I don't understand.
I'm talking about Windows 8 for PC.Now I'm interested in Windows 7 and Windows 8 for LAPTOPS and PC.They come with the package Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access?I really need these 4 programs, so I would like to know if Windows 7 and Windows 8 (OR one of these two) comes with it. (talking about the PC version and PORTABLE computers).I'll try this again: other than Windows 8 RT - what is essentially the ' tablet edition of Windows 8 "- Windows not never and not now comes with all editions of Microsoft Office.". " Some manufacturers may package before their systems (Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc) with office trials or better - but they do that - not Microsoft.

I'm not a pc expert and don't have no knowledge will take it the word of experts from the pc.
