Is anyone know how can I test my Mac?

Is there a software that makes a control software such as checking the HDD for any bad sector, etc...?

It is preferable to describe the functional problem, if you have one, as long as detail as much information as possible, rather than saying what you think is the cause or the way you think it should be resolved.

How to maintain a Mac

Do two or more backups of all your files

A backup is not enough to be sure. A copy of a backup does not count as another backup. all backups should be made directly from original data.

Keep at least one backup offsite disaster at any time. Backup to a cloud service - data is a way to meet this need, but do not exclusively rely on these backups.

In fact, do not rely on any single backup method, such as Time Machine.

If you get an indication that a backup has failed, don't ignore it.

Keep your software up to date

In the software update preferences or window of the App Store (according to the version of the OS), you can configure automatic notifications of updates to OS X and other Mac App Store products. Some third-party applications from other sources have a similar feature, if you don't mind leaving their home phone. Otherwise, you need to check yourself on a regular basis.

Update is particularly important for complex software which modifies the operating system, such as device drivers. Do not install the necessary modifications, unless they are absolutely necessary. Remove them when they are no longer needed. Before you install any update from Apple, you must verify that all changes to the system that you are using are compatible. Incompatibility with third-party software is by far the most common cause of the difficulties with the system updates.

Do not install any crapware

.. .such as "themes," "haxies, '"Add-ons,"" toolbars, ""enhancers,""optimizers","accelerators", 'boosters', 'extensions', 'cleaners', 'doctors', 'tune-up,'"defragmenters', 'firewall', 'barriers', "guardians", "defenders", "protectors", most 'plugins', 'antivirus', 'disk tools' or 'utilities '. With a few exceptions, this stuff is useless or worse than useless. Above all, avoid any software that is supposed to change the look and feel of the user interface.

He is not much of an exaggeration to say that the "utility" software industry everything for the Mac is a fraud on consumers. The most extreme examples are the "CleanMyMac', 'TuneUpMyMac', and"MacKeeper"scams, but there are many others.

Only use software that does something for you - not (as can imagine you) for the computer. A text editor, a photo editor and a game are examples of software that does something for you. A "cache cleaner" or a "malware scanner" does nothing for you. You buy a computer, then you might clean caches.

Never install third party software unless you know how to uninstall. Otherwise, we can create problems that are very difficult to solve. Don't rely on "utility" as "AppCleaner" designed to remove software.

Do not install not bad, contradictory or unnecessary fonts

Whenever you install a new font, use the validation of the application book feature policies integrated to ensure that the fonts are not defective and do not collide with each other or with other people you already. See the built-in Help and support article for instructions.

Disable or remove the fonts that you really need not to speed up the launch of applications.

Avoid malware

"Malware" is a malware that circulates on the Internet. This kind of attack on OS X was once so rare that it was almost a matter of concern, but it is now more common than dangerous.

There is a built-in protection against malicious software, but you can't count on it, the attackers are still at least a day before the defense. You cannot rely on "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" product third for protection no more. The only security lies in safe computing practices. The "anti-virus" industry will always try to convince you that you are powerless to protect you from malicious software attacks, unless you use its products. You are not powerless - rather than the industry is powerless to protect you, just as it is powerless to protect Windows and Android users, whose platforms are infested by malware despite the fact that they spend $75 billion a year on the software "anti-virus".

Never install software from an unknown or untrusted source. If in doubt, do the research.

Any website that invites you to install a "codec" or "plugin" that comes from the same site or to an unknown site, is untrustworthy.

A stranger on a website which is strangely eager to run a free app and won't take to a response, it is not trustworthy. What is in it for him?

Software that does not come from the Mac App Store, such as Adobe Flash Player, must come directly from the Web site. No intermediary is acceptable and do not trust links unless you know how to analyze them.

Any file that is automatically downloaded from the web, without your consent, should go straight into the trash.

A web page that tells you that your computer has a "virus", or anything else wrong with it, is a scam.

In OS X 10.7.5 or later, download applications and install packages that have not been digitally signed by a developer registered with Apple are blocked by default loading. The block can be overridden, but think carefully before do you.

Do not fill your drive or SSD

A common mistake is to add more large files in your home folder until you start getting warnings that you are out of space, which can be followed in short order a boot failure. It is more likely to occur on recent Macs that come with an internal SSD instead of the conventional hard drive. The disk may be nearly complete before becoming aware of this problem.

If it is not true that you should or must keep any percentage of free space, you must monitor your storage usage and make sure that you are not in immediate danger of use upward. According to the documentation from Apple, you need at least 9 GB of free space on the boot to normal volume.

If the available storage space is insufficient, use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeperto explore volume and discover which occupies more space. Move infrequently used large files to secondary storage.

Relax, do not

In addition to the above, no maintenance is necessary or advantageous for the vast majority of users; specifically not "cleaning the caches," "zap the PRAM," "reset the SMC," "reconstruction of the directory,'"defragment the drive,""periodic scripts running,""dumping newspapers,' "delete temporary files", "searching for viruses," 'memory purge', 'check' bad blocks, "test hardware" or "repair permissions". These measures are either useless or are useful only to solve problems, not for prevention.

To effectively use a Mac, you must get out of the mentality of Windows that each computer needs regular downtime maintenance such as 'defrag' and 'registry cleaning. These concepts do not apply to the Mac platform.

A well-designed computing device is not something you should think about a lot. There should be an almost transparent medium through which communicate you, work and play. If you want a machine that needs a lot of attention just to continue, use a PC, or collect classic cars.

The height of futility runs a third-party application expensive called "Disk Warrior" when everything is going well, or even when something goes wrong and you have backups, you must have. Warrior disc is a data-recovery tool, not a maintenance tool, and you won't ever need if your backups are adequate. Don't waste money on it or something like that.

    You seem to be using a microscopic analysis of a set of problems generally solved by MACROSCOPIC changes to your configuration. I think that your approach is completely wrong, and you should instead list your symptoms together and ask the community to draw on his experience of solutions.

    The suggestion provided by Atul, it would be applicable only to those applications that were installed once the language has been changed.

    Already installed applications will run in the default language.

    Therefore, please uninstall the application and change the language by following the link provided and then reinstall the application.

    Anyone know who I can contact to move my licenses from MAC to Windows?  I have by mistake (and stupidly) purchased 6 licenses of Adobe Audition for MAC o/s when I need to install the software on a Windows machine.  Help please?  I hope I didn't buy new licenses.


    We are mainly a few end users here on the Forum so not really help with problems of purchase. Have you bought them directly from Adobe or through a retailer? I'm afraid that probably the only people who will be able to help you in this case Adobe customer service.

    I'm on a Macbook Pro CS6 (2012) running OS Max 10.11.2 (El Capitan)

    I find that my After Effects is grayed out (not selectable - because it is not compatible with El Capitan)

    I tried to update (as well as my other apps) office within CC Updater, but I get an Error Message saying "Update failed"

    The download seems to be corrupted. Please try to download it again. (U43M1D207). I've attached a screenshot of the Message.

    No idea how to get around this problem / update my apps CS6?

  • Divergence of duration for the mp3 file

    After export to an MP3 to Audition for Mac, I have a discrepancy between the duration of the file that is displayed in the 'file Info', (i.e. what you see when you right click on a file and 'Get Info' icon) and the actual duration of the audio file. The duration of 'get info' will be less. Bigger the file, the more the difference (seven seconds or so on a file of 1 hour). I would have never noticed this or supported except that one of my clients is-compilation automatic files (in pounds) and the content is get truncated. Apparently, the keys the client out of the info 'file' and not the actual properties software. But then, the data should be the same. Advice anyone...?

    Just a wild guess that it might be a difference in the sampling frequency. Audio for CD is recorded at 44.1 kHz. Audio for video is usually recorded at 48 kHz. Once, I made the mistake of audio recording on a recorder that was set to 44.1. When I dropped it in a sequence defined for 48, there is a difference in time between the video and the audio clip. I did the work by trial and error using the extensible rate on the video tool, until she was. I could re - sample audio at 48 kHz, but I thought that I would lose less time to stretching of the rate because the clips were more than an hour each.

    Check if your output of the hearing is set to 44.1. If so, change it to 48.

  • Save YouTube? Mac (Capitan) and Adobe Audition

    I have a Mac, OS ElCapitan and Adobe Audition CC (2015.0). I need to recover some soundbite of public domain for a project. Any ideas how to do this? I have also a Pro 14 Focusrite and a Focusrite ISA a preamp.

    Don't know much about sound cards, or how to get the sound to Adobe to record. The Mac is already run via FireWire, so everything is played through my encrypted Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 (headphone and monitor speakers) I could just play and record, any ideas?

    Rather than save the clips from YouTube in real time, why not pull down the hosted file and extract the audio track? On a Mac, you can use something like Downie to get to the bottom of the file. Then use QT 7 to select the audio track and extract it.

    Otherwise you can use Audio Hijack from Rogue Amoeba to easily record the clip in real time without bothering with something like Soundflower.

    Once you have the audio, you can take in hearing and move forward...

  • Is there a list of shortcuts mac keyboard for Audition 3.0?

    Is there anywhere online where I can find a list of Mac for Audition 3.0 keyboard shortcuts?  I would have thought it would be easy to find, but I searched and didn't see anything.  In particular, I'm looking for shortcuts to let me vertical zoom and a shortcut that puts the playhead at first in multitrack view.

    If you really mean Audition 3.0, the reason for which there is no list of Mac keyboard shortcuts is that AA3.0 is not available in a version Mac - hearing so far has always been Windows only software.

    However, if you're talking about hearing 4.0 current beta test Mac, you better ask your question in the forum specific to the new version here: http://forums.adobe.com/community/labs/audition/

    Existing customers on PC, none of us here has experience on the new version since, by definition, none of us use Macs!  (We die to try the new version though!)

  • Setup Mac os 10.11.5 error - "audit failed."

    Hi all.

    I saw the different answers to similar questions for older versions of Mac Os X 10.11, but apparently nothing that relates to my problem or who has been helpful so far.

    I have a Macbook Pro, end 2012. Several attempts to update to the latest Mac Os (10.11.5) on the App Store with "verification failed" failed when starting the installation after the download. I quote below a part of the install.log file that seems to be relevant, but which I can't understand what is happening. Please note that the installation even worked on my new Macbook Pro, mid-2015; the failing machine is the previous I used, which I use now of the House. (A detail that may be relevant to what I've read previous users having similar problems, is without doubt, I've improved my 2015 my office network McP while I use my house for the McP 2012 default ADSL).

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't know why you are having this problem.

    I suggest that you can benefit from the COMBO (combination) update download and use:

    Try to close Firefox, delete the pluginreg.dat in the profile folder and start again. This is the problem that is described in bug 313700.

    Note: Article profiles - where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data explains how to open the profile of Firefox on Mac OS folder, so that you can delete the pluginreg.dat file. Make sure to only close Firefox after you open the profile folder in the Finder.

  • Unlock the Mac with Apple iWatch

    I have a MacBook to 2015 and iWatch. The Mac is on MacOS Sierra and the iWatch is on version 3, so both devices are on the latest version of the software. I also have an iPhone on the latest IOS that the watch is twinned with 6. All devices are on the same iCloud account.

    I tried everything I can do the iWatch unlock the Mac. I'm getting very fed upwards with it's complicated. I spent 2 step 2-factor authentication audit and I read each thread and an article I can find, but I can't get it to work. It seems I'm not the only one. I thought that Apple was easy to work, but with each update and the new feature which is launched, it becomes more complicated.

    I spent hours trying to work and decided that he would save me more type my password every time I have unlock the mac it takes to implement this feature from time to time saving!

    In any case, after trying everything I always get the message "your Mac was unable to communicate with your Apple Watch."
