From what I can tell, it seems that you try to give feedback on Australis. If you want to leave a comment for the developers of Firefox, go to the help menu and select submit comments.

This information gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and collect data on the most common questions. These data are then presented to the weekly Firefox delivery meeting.

If there is a change that you want to know why it was done, ask here should be fine. But beware of those whose responses are based on speculation.

  • How can I get rid of Australis without using Classic theme restaurateur or how can I save vertical space?

    I have big screen of laptop if limited space on the vertical axis. Then

    (1) I want to get rid of the tab bar when I don't have a single open window.
    (2) I want to get rid of the title bar, which does not include any necessary information.
    (3) I want to move the address bar in the menu bar.

    Before Australis, it was easy to do. After that I did the update that I searched a long time solutions. I found only Classic theme restaurateur. It's good, but it often causes my computer to high power consumption which makes the laptop very hot.

    If ho can I get vertical space (see 1-3)?

    The problem is finally solved. To overcome the limitations of its latest versions of Firefox, I disabled all addons and enabled them one by one by checking if they are causing problems.

    For example, I used Classic theme restaurateur for vertical space. But it causes problems if used with SettingSanity I used to get the button javascript back (bug Firefox not fixed since version 23!). So I went to another tool (toolbar buttons). And so on.

    PS: If I knew how many hours it takes to get the functionality of the previous versions of Firefox back I had never made this udate. But I learned my lesson (no change of Firefox more)

    There are extensions to restore a large number of lost functionality.

    There is the classic extension theme restaurateur restore some features that has been lost with the arrival of the Australis style in Firefox 29.

    Also, I happen to love Australis. All my modules work very well, it is much faster and looks clean and lean. I use Classic theme restaurant just to set the bar of Status Bar/Add on on the bottom of the window. No problem, happy camper.

    I don't really like the new interface theme Australis. How can I configure it to provide me with separate previous buttons and following (what I can reposition) and how can I get my tabs back where I want that they on the bottom, not from the top, toolbars?

    Following the evening and Aurora series with great interest. And after checking out now the UX every night with more advanced parts of Australis seen in preview...

    Later still can I themes and available Agifts? I know that Mozilla plans to simplify the browser as "everyday computer users could feel overloaded" - but is it really necessary that you break a lot of Agifts and especially the Complete 3rd themes part?

    Not a single 3d Party theme I've tried with UX does more, no problem with Aurora Alphas and normal nightly.

    You really should perhaps also think about more advanced users, because taking this features beloved away from us, to make the simplest of Google Chrome similar Firefox - is not just good things!

    So please, do not remove Agifts and theme Support!

    UX / Australis has changed since 03-28 and this is what it looks like on WinXP. Poor compared to Win7, IMO.

  • Force Firefox do not return tree bar tabs in default Australis (Customize page)

    I had a thing for graphics problems when using two extensions (GlassFox and TreeTab ones).
    Application that the buttons on the toolbars and windows has continued to collapse.
    However, restore the profile, I lost it too.
    With another extension, Restorer of classic theme, I would fix partially the problem (force on the menu with fix 10 integrated bar, but I still have bad display of windows buttons).
    I'm on firefox 40.0.3, 10 x 64 windows.

    The above code is useless, but now I use scripts that have improved things: one for the tab the favicon cache, as often are ' white' and take the space; one to make tab square; and to have white text on black and on the tabs and menus toolbars (work both on the approach of partial/full glass). Strange behaviour seems to be fixed in the latest beta of the addon wait the unpleasantness when click on customize.

    Seriously, I just want to uninstall this terrible update and return to a browser that does not look and feel as it was designed with a 9 year old in mind. Everything feels awkward and disjointed. The notion that you have to download a secondary application or an extension only in order to have a dedicated button "stop loading" is ridiculous. Also the customization options are therefore extremely limited its ridiculous. You does not remodel or change the size or location of the things that matter. I want that this shit gone wobbly or resolved, but frankly, I think not that the latter happens any time soon. If this is the direction things are going in the long term for firefox let me know how to get back to v28 or that this shit is there to stay, so I can go get chrome.

    2) return to FF28: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-of-firefox (I did too but a warning in place: it is at your own risk, because there is no security patches and so forth that are implemented in FF29).

  • My game of colors Australis is unreadable.

    OS is XP Pro SP3. Display is defined as follows: the theme is classic Windows. There is no bottom. The appearance is the classic game of Windows color and Standard Windows and windows buttons.

    I downloaded FF29 today. The new office shows a dark blue bar at the top left as shades of blue on the right. The inactive tabs are dark blue with white type, and the menu bar is also blue with small white characters (very small). It does everything just not with my eyes. I can't live with that. The rest of the drawing or model does not cause of reading difficulties, but I prefer a type very slightly greater overall. I used the search function, and I also went to the articles, but do not seem to be able to find anything directly on point.

    How can I change a color for bigger type, more clear and black characters.

    You can set the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref on the topic: config page on 1.0 or Windows 8 to 1.25 and if necessary adjust layout.css.devPixelsPerPx from 1.0 to 0.1 or 0.05 steps (1.1 or 0.9) do the icons to display properly.

    Hello, NPAPi is an interface for plugins like flash, silverlight, java...
    extensions (these are the things you will find at http://addons.mozilla.org) are a completely different area and not affected by this announcement.

  • Closing tabs creates a gap between the tabs.

    Maybe try the Restorer Classic theme to see if that works and review the CSS code that uses this extension.
    The style of the tab bar is quite complicated and also may not be stable across releases.

  • How to move the button refresh?

    I would switch the Refresh button to the left of the URL size. However, when I go to the 3-bar menu and choose Customize, it seems to be set up as part of the URL bar, and there is nothing I can do to move.
