• Authentication with LDAP...

  I managed with a LDAP hook which authenticate my domain account and it works well and everyone can connect!
  
  What I want to do is authenticate with LDAP and then leave through the eyes of the table to the top of my list of authorized users, or to refuse the connection.
  It's a small number of users is not a big problem for me to have the table with 5 or 6 users.
  
  I like the fact that the credentials of the user are managed by LDAP, and I don't want the hassle of creating ad groups that are managed by a third party.

  I use LDAP had encountered the same problem. I think you have several choices available. It is the setting of "Message authentication" on the 'authentication scheme"that you use. Allows you to (citing the help): 'specify a block of code to run through the procedure of Application Express login (login API) after step of authentication (verification of login credentials).   I have a couple of environments EBS (11i) who throw functions Apex using white paper successfully delivered Cabot Consulting (extension of the Oracle Applications). I created a new responsibility, the menu and function on our direct environment today that does exactly what suggests the white paper:
  
  1. send a cookie to the browser with the username and a hash generated.
  2 apex authentication verifies this cookie, and if it does not exist, a login page appears.
  3. IF the cookie exists, it takes the user name and validates the hash, then redirect to Page 1 of my application.
  
  However, I saw that the first time you click on the EBS function, Firefox throws a "Redirect Loop" error, Internet Explorer gives rather an error 404 useless. If I click my back button to return to the Oracle Applications and click the function again, this time it works.
  
  I can't release it on my userbase if it is possible to redirect the questions!
  
  Someone got experience this and is there a verified solution to solve the problem? I'm happy to post any code you want.

  Pete - hard to say without seeing it. If you can put a model on apex.oracle.com, I can check it out. Make sure that the login page has Page is the public security setting.

  So, I try to install the logos.mis that I found on the first CD drivers of devices OR (D:\products\shared\logos\logos100). The problem: installation of logos starts but I get a blank window when they ask to select the features to install (see attached picture)?

  I looked a little more to it, and the list is not information about any version of Logos as it is not designed as an installation program that requires a user configuration. If you continue through the installer, however, the component should install anyway. Give a shot and after back with your results?

  I didn't know it was on permissions at the page level, sorry for missing. The order of execution in 4.2.3 is:

  1 authentication: Sentinel of session
  2 authentication: verification

  3. initialization of PL/SQL code (formerly code init VPD)

  4. clearance: application level

  5 Plugin AJAX requests

  6 BEFORE_HEADER branches

  7 authorization: the page level

  8. process (only 1 time per session and application) and calculations of ON_NEW_INSTANCE
  9. process and calculations of BEFORE_HEADER

  There are also a few places in this sequence where APEX runs integrated queries, for example to code AJAX interactive reports and reports (code existed before the changes to plugin architecture).

There is no specific location for the initialization of the page that would go before the approval page.   (1) I have configured instance SSO with windows Active Directory and OBIEE.
  
  (2) I also have another instance (without configured SSO) with table external authentication (verification of name and password of the user) and authorization (groups, that populate the session for the filtering of data variables).
  
  Now my question is, I want a combination of scenario 1 and scenario 2. I want OBIEE SSO with Active directory
  
  and the groups in the external table.
  
  The reason being, my groups are custom in the outer table groups, I do not want to keep users in the repository.
