Authorization to load an extension using Adobe Extension Manager

Win 7, CS4, Admisistrator

I am trying to load an extension provided on a DVD included in Photoshop CS4 channels & masks (channels & Masks.xmp) by Haissem Ben Achour. The extensions Manager opens and the license agreement will appear. When I'm agree, I get a message that I don't have permission to do this and to cnotact the administrator. I am the administrator. Anyone know what I have to do to make this work? Thank you.

You can be the Admin, but your programs are not running with administrator privileges as long as this OPTION is enabled. You will have to right click on the shortcut/exe Extension Manager and select run as administrator

  • I have Photoshop CS5 and when I try to launch it after recovering from a crash of the system, I get a popup telling me I have to use Adobe Application Manager.

    I finally got things market so I thought that I would return at least to indicate what was necessary in case someone else is in a similar mess.

    I had NOT reinstalled CS3 as the two guests and all indications here in the forum suggested that it would be enough just to enter the serial number for CS3.  As it happened in this case - probably because of the goulash that my system has been transformed an operating system crash and reinstall - which would not be good enough.

    I reinstalled CS3 and launched so I'm the guest of serial number and has been able to do successfully 'Activé' (see the first picture below)

    I wasn't able to get CS3 "registered" (see the second image), but the guest suggested javascript as suspects or internet access, and my presence here in the forum proves neither of those to be wrong. The failure of the connection indicates it may be trying to connect to a resource for activating long dormant CS3 (or dead) at Adobe?

    I then restarted CS5 and once I gave my serial number, he was finally happy with any complaint of needing a product calling prior to the upgrade (see third picture)

  • Adobe Application Manager is updating every time I start it.

    I use Adobe Application Manager Mac OS 10.6.8 to manage my subscriptions Photoshop and InDesign. A few days back, Adobe Application Manager downloaded and installed an updated (to himself) and since then, whenever I open it, it installs an update (the message says "updating Adobe Application Manager"), and then asks for my password of Mac OS and then my Adobe ID and password.     I tried to install Adobe Photoshop elements 14 and I had to use Adobe Application Manager. When I reinstalled it using a program, it always says it is damaged and must be reinstalled. I don't know what can anyone help?

    I installed my Adobe Master Collection CS 5 on a new computer (Win7).

    After installation, I tried to update the programs. I used Adobe Application Manager for it.

    It downloads the data files, but after download - instead of installing them - it is said that there hase been a mistake occurred and I try it later again.

    I tried later, I tried to download all the data in one, I tried to download one after another... still the same error.

    Please, can you help me, I really want to update all of my Adobe products...

  • Adobe Application Manager closes right on me--the ideas of how to run?

    Just purchased Adobe CC for a year and clicked on the button to download my first app, only Adobe Application Manager (the latest version) to just quit on me. Tried to restart many times but it's always the same "Adobe Application Manager quit unexpectedly." Can someone please tell what could be the problem?

    I tried to download Indesign, Photoshop and illustrator all separately on several occasions, but each time the same thing happens. This is the first time, I installed and tried to use Adobe Application Manager on any device.

    I use an iMac with a lot of Ram etc. 10.9.4 OSX version

    Don't worry, I solved the problem. When you install the new CC products, Adobe does not automatically download the latest version of the Application Manager - so you must download separately and install it before you can download all the programs. Go here for Application Manager:

  • CC Adobe Application Manager does not install / launch

    I was getting an error message on my application manager when you try to update. I fixed that on my iMac by uninstalling it and then put it back.

    So I tried the same thing on my MacBook, but now it seems to have messed up things. Installation * appeared * to succeed in the sense that the completed progress bar (I tried 3 times) but I have not received any notification at the end and the app is a not run by itself.

    Also, I can't find the icon of the application anywhere, and if I look into the applications folder, all I get is this dubious group of files / folders and nothing for the launch (see below)

    Does anyone else have this problem?

  • The update is impossible - you are already running Adobe Application Manager...

    I am on Mac OS 10.8.4. When I try to update InDesign CC to the latest version, Adobe Application Manager launches and gives me the following error:

    Update failed

    Updates cannot be applied

    You already use Adobe Application Manager. Please close all instances of Adobe Application Manager before you apply the updates.

    So, I leave the MAO, check that it does not turn in the activity monitor and then restart it. to get the same error message. I have not found a solution online, so I hope someone can help me to go beyond that.

    Have Rfahl you tried to restart, and then applying the update again?  If so and you still receive the same error, then you might want to try to install the update in Safe Boot mode.  You can find more details for commissioning in a safe secure OS X Lion: start in safe mode - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4373.

  • I can't find purchase modules file in my computer so I can't import into Lr I have try to use Adobe Extension, but it still does not.

    It presents in the creative cloud it was installed but I can not find the file in the download folder or anywhere else. What should I do to install this in my Lr.

    I try Adobe Extension but doesn't have too much work.

    We have identified a delay in obtaining products on Windows machines, in which case a reboot is required to start the installation of the product. We are investigating this. For Lightroom products, it is best to use only the CC Desktop App - available from http://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud, rather than the extensions Manager.

  • Adobe Extension Manager fails to load

    I bought Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium. I've downloaded and installed. The problem comes when I try to open the extensions Manager. It starts to load and crashes to about 3/4 the way. No matter how long I let it go, it always freezes at the same point. Someone at - it an idea of which can solve this problem?

    I downloaded and installed Adobe Extension Manager version 7.3.2.39.

    As far as I know, this is the latest version of the September 25, 2014: downloads updates of Adobe Extension Manager

    It is installed under:

    CC Manager extensions/applications/Adobe /Adobe Extension Manager CC.app


    After the application starts, it will not recognize one of my installed applications of CC as:
    InDesign CC v9.3.0

    InDesign CC v10.2.0

    or others.

    What can we do?

    A frustrating process for you, we agree! It is not a known issue with InDesign and Manager extensions, so on this issue, that we assume that the next time you restart your computer and open the extensions Manager, there is a good chance that InDesign appears. If this isn't the case, you can use the CC Office application to remove and reinstall InDesign which should encourage the extensions Manager.

    It's ok to delete the folder OOBE to install automatically the next time you launch the extension manager. The latest version is 7.3.2.39.

    InCopy comes with a list of pre-loaded extensions, but for other applications, they are not preloaded so that this point of view is normal. When you start the installation of Add-ons on the Add-ons site, they list in the extensions Manager.

  • Cannot launch Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5

    Hello

    As the title suggests the program will not start, I him have not used since the update to OSX Yosemite, but I had to reinstall suite CS5.5, after he stopped work after the update. I also installed the extensions separately Manager today to see if it solves the problem, it only has done it.

    The ZXP file is actually a ZIP file with metadata. He just copy and rename and unzip the file. On a Mac, you may need to Unzip (uncompress) program. You can then access the plugin files. The metadata file is a text file that tells you what files go where. If you understand what you can copy the plug-ins in the right place. If this isn't the case, get a mentor.

    «Dreamweaver CS6 and earlier ' column on the web site Ajatix is the .mxp version.» Extension Manager CS6 supports the .mxp files as .zxp and can convert .mxp to .zxp.

    "Dreamweaver CS6 and earlier"version is compatible with the Extension of MX at CS6 managers. This includes CS5.5

    I still understand why Adobe created such a mess with the extension managers and all incompatibilities between versions and formats. Creation of a universal extension manager should not such a problem.

    When the update of Lightroom 9.4 downloading I got an updated Adobe Extensions Manager error message.  Here is the error message:

    Update the 6.0.8 extensions Manager

    Failed installation. Error code: U44M1P7

    I always got this error message during the download.  What it means?  Can I fix it so I can get updates on the extension manager?
