Auto Backup in InCopy

Hello

Are there in the same auto backup InCopy resources there in InDesign?

Thank you

Felipe

Yes. It should recover (or get) all the unsaved changes in the stories of the extract. like InDesign, it opens these files when you restart the program.

Look in the InCopy preferences > file management in the location where it stores these files in.

  • Auto backups? Not that I can find

FCPX just crashed. Happens.Don't know why. Sent the report to Apple. Restart the Mac. Open FCPX. All the work I had done during the last full day, 24 hours, is visible. He went. New projects have disappeared. New events have disappeared. I have about 200 GB of material imported ten new events. They are not there. The last automatic backup for this library was last Thursday. Again, I worked on it all day Friday and all day again yesterday, Monday.

When I opened the library, I can see all the events and all the original media that I imported. However, they do not appear in the browser.

    Two questions:

    1. How can I increase the frequency with which FCPX carries out its auto backups? FCPX help only said: it happens by magic.

    2. how to import items that are in the whole of the library? They are not visible from the import dialog box.

It's weird. Did you do a Finder search on point fcpbundle to see if, by chance, backup libraries were stored elsewhere?

If what you see inside the library looks normal, I suppose that the database file, flexolibrary is corrupted. Which could drag it to the trash (no drain). Try opening the library, how the database will be rebuilt. If it still does not work, you can replace the new flexo with the bin file.

    Russ

Edit: sure there is no way to change the frequency of backup of library. If you need reach the media to import, you would move the folder from original out of the package.

  • I have Vista Home and auto backup and I put in a new DVD-R, even if space is available on the existing DVD

I have Vista Home and auto backup and I put in a new DVD-R, even if space is available on the existing DVD.

I have Vista Home and auto backup and I put in a new DVD-R, even if space is available on the existing DVD.

This response does not answer your question immediately. Just my suggestion for an alternative...

You lose a lot of time and money ventually, using DVD.

Less than $100 you will get a very good external hard drive, and you can make a backup of files into it.

In the long term, it is less expensive than the purchase of DVDs and a pain to store.

    Hi VanHylant

When you use a Windows complete PC backup image to restore your computer, it is a complete restoration. You cannot choose to restore individual items and all of your current programs, Control Panel, and the files are overwritten.

ESXi is a cron to save itself automatically, it he was running already you can not see a file in particular within this list of output. It never hurts to run again, but an easy way to confirm is of course reboot the host to ensure the change pesists.

  • Independent external drive for Time Machine backup

Can I save two external hard drives independently in two separate backup drives?

2 TB DHM supported with a 2 to DHM

    and

5 to DHM supported with a to 5 DHM

The 2 TB drive holds the content inventory which changes often but never amounts to more than 300 GB.

5 TB disk holds archived folders which adds, with about 30 GB of data, once a month.

Time Machine is not really suitable for this. The only way I can see it could do would be to an installation to be excluded from the backup disk, then do the backup Time respective Machine. Then return the exclusion so the opposite road is excluded, then backup to the backup Time opposite Machine.

This should be clear would be a completely manual process, in fact you realistic would switch off the Machine in time to avoid that it auto backup on the drive bad between manual backups.

However other backup programs more sophisticated pourrait be configured to do this automatically.

  • Backups taking over 130 GB of 160 GB, getting 'Startup Disk Full' and the computer does not. Help!

I fight for free space on one of my older iMacs work and I am to the point that we cannot use it because the startup disk is full.  I've recently upgraded to Snow Leopard OSX Lion (10.7.5) so I could update our video editing software, Adobe Premier.

We run all our video projects on external hard drives, which does not have the boot disk space and are always good on the erasure of files from the Recycle Bin, audio, photo and video so that they are not get bogged down.  About this Mac shows my 160 GB boot drive contains 8.87 GB Audio, 7.69 GB, 6,49 Photos GB movies, 6.58 GB Apps and a huge 129.34 GB of backups.  I have time Machine backed up on an external hard drive and can't seem to find out where these files are to be removed from the startup disk.

Turn off time Machine and restart does not clear space.  I have even made the Terminal kill command no matter what auto backups, deleted device and old library version in iTunes, etc.  and I have no backup label appears when I bring up the screen of star wars of the time Machine. I went through so many stages and suggestions to get this machine working again.  I understand these backups are supposed to remove themselves automatically, but why are there still first place if I save on the outside?

PS I'm not very computer savvy, but I know my way around.  Additional suggestions are appreciated - please let me know if I need to provide more information.

  • Can I unpartition a hard drive? Can I stop automatic backup?

My 75 year old mother gave me her laptop because it has performance issues. I'm pretty good at fixing my own laptop, which runs Windows XP. My mother's laptop using Vista, and I feel as if it was another planet! I am struggling to do some cleaning and basic maintenance because things aren't where I expect to be. Defragmentation tell me that is it (there is no applaud living), and it runs for hours and hours, then stops and indicates that the computer would benefit from defragmentation. I don't know what he does all these hours, but he seems to be caught in a loop and not really defrag.

BIGGER PROBLEM: His HP laptop appears to come from the factory with Vista and the partitioned hard drive. He runs a program of automatic backup. We want to STOP the backup program and if possible, put the HDD on a C drive. Why? Because my MOM uses only the Internet. Period. She has never, in six years, NEVER open a single program on the computer other than Solitaire. She uses the Internet for e-mail, shopping, to buy plane tickets, check sports scores, watch YouTube and Facebook videos check. She has never created or saved a file photo of the document, etc. Not a single one.

The D drive and kept to give a message every few seconds it was complete. I deleted all the files I could except for the marked thing 'Partition I think with running auto backup, it will just fill in again. Still, I don't know what it's backup since only MS files on the computer. The "My Documents" folder is empty.

My mother didn't need to backup all the files. She wants to stop error messages and she wants the D drive and go. FIRST: Can I turn off the automatic backup program? I don't know where to look for it or how to stop it.

    >: Can I cut first automatic backup program? I don't know where to look for it or how to stop it.

RE: Disable the automatic backup of files
Start button > in the search box, type Task Scheduler > press ENTER...
expand (click the pointer before) Task Scheduler Library
    expand Microsoft
    expand Windows
    Windows backup, click on it
Right-click to AutomaticBackup > click on disable
    That's all.

    RE: defrag
In vista, disk defragmentation is done automatically "in the background".
No need to defragment manually, not ot mention manual defragmentation will go for HOURS.
It does not show the progress, or give you a report on what has been done by disk defragmentation.

RE: replace the hard drive in a lecteurC. Not a good idea. Read PS. paragraph.
But, since you asked, here's the tutorial - Delete and Extend. I'm not quaified to give advice on this subject. http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/95418-disk-management-delete-extend.html

P.S. Your D drive is your recovery Partition. It is not to be touched, to add or remove items in or out the drive d Partition Recovery is used in case of system crash. It allows you to restore the system.
Hope that you have not deleted the data necessary to make the system recovery.

It is obvious that the D drive and has been used to make backup files. There is reason why you saw the message "D drive is full."
Recovery partition is usually about 10 to 15 GB in size. Soon to fill upward if used for the backup of files.

  • HP Pavilion Elite Desk Top, who needs large backup unit.

I requires too much memory, people who I talked to say 320 should be more than enough.
My question you Pro is the characteristics that you recommend, I want a USB connection and check that when the backup is preformed, whether regular or manual. I want to save both, not pick & choose. So could you please tell me about what you think, I need and options I do not consider.
I noticed some readers are equipped with the software, while others say that they don't.
This should be used in case of crash or accidental deletion, I can transfer the information to my (c :)) drive with a single click if all goes well.
Sorry for this long message, but I am relatively new to this. Thank you... Celestyna

You want to an encrypted drive so that no one else will be able to see your data?

You should get an external hard drive
As you say, a USB 2.0 connection is best. (most drives come with two or three you need to plugin so the reader gets enough power and you get a speed of 480 MB/s)
Windows Vista has a large auto backup (control of configuration\systeme and Maintenance\Backup and Food Center) that backs up all your data (as just more external hardrives back up the folders "My Documents, pictures, videos") feature of windows Vista is very easy to use.
    An ideal backup drive
    (1) an external hard drive
    (2) with USB 2
    (3) and no backup software
    (4) encryption if you want
    (5) a well-known brand with a good reputation (Western Digital, Seagate, Toshiba)
    (6) have at least two times more space than you think you will need

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

Remember to make changes to your computer before the problem?

Follow these steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

You can check if the backup and restore services are started when you try to make a back up of files.

    a. click on start
    b. in the start search box, type Services
    c. click right on - RUN as ADMINISTRATOR

These are the services that must be running when you try to make a return to the top.

    Automatic started Windows event log
    Task Scheduler started auto
    Backup Windows stopped manual

    Step 2:

You may want to consider temporarily disabling your security software and then try to save.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 3:

I would also say that you check your disk for errors.

    Check a drive for errors

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/check-a-drive-for-errors

    WARNING:
Important: All performing hard disk the disk check if bad sectors are found on the disk hard disk check is trying to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost

    Let us know.
