Auto unblocking "null" Apple Watch

My Apple Watch connects my rMBP and everything with macOS Sierra very well, but when my watch sends me a notification says "null" unlocked by this Apple Watch. How to replace the text "null"?

Solved it for me by signing in and out of the iCloud on mac + iphone then restart all 3.

    Dear support team Apple,

I have problem with MacOS Sierra feature "Auto Unlock with Apple Watch". I upgraded my MacBook Pro 2015 until the latest Version of the OS and Apple Watch until the OS 3.

I followed the instructions automatically unlock your Mac with your Apple Watch - Apple Support

    As a result:

    1. two factor authentication enabled on iCloud account;

    2. pass code activated on Apple Watch;

    3. I use iCloud even on Mac and on the watch.

But the option is not in the system preferences. Attached printscreen.

I have exactly the same problem. I checked that I have two factor, not two steps of authentication. I have a the same devices, 6 2015 s of MacBook Pro, Apple Watch and iPhone more. The option does not appear for me either.

  • 2SV v. 2FA for Auto unlock with Apple Watch

Try to set up the auto unlock with Apple Watch on my MacBook Air (fall 2013) after the installation of Sierra. Get this message:

    Off the 2SV using applied.apple.com

... and still get the same message "2FA is required" box "Security & Privacy".

    What I am doing wrong?

P.S., rescue email Apple ID has not yet been verified, because it belongs to my sister who lives in a very different time zone, but I don't see how this should matter for the automatic implementation of release.

The message is mainly to tell you that you must enable two-factor authentication, is not that you should disable 2SV. You will need to disable 2SV before you can activate 2FA.

You should always activate 2FA it to AppleID.apple.com

I don't know why you don't see the option to activate 2FA here on the Security section. You have a device running El Capitan or later, or a device running iOS 9 or a later version in your list of devices?

    Hello

Automatic unlocking with Apple Watch is available for the Mac models since the mid-2013 and later running macOS Sierra.

    Check that:

    • Your Mac has Bluetooth and Wi - Fi enabled.
    • Your Apple ID use two factor authentication (as opposed to the two-step verification):
    • Your Mac and Apple Watch are connected to iCloud with the same Apple ID:
      • On your Mac, choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, and then click iCloud.
      • On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, then go to general > Apple ID.
    • Your Apple Watch uses a password:
      • On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, then type the access code.
    • Transfer procedure is enabled on your iPhone and your Mac:
      • On your iPhone, go to: settings > general > transfer procedure.
      • On your Mac, go to: System preferences > General - down, tick the option "Allow transfer between the Mac and your iCloud devices."
      • If these parameters are already enabled, a user has found that it helped to deactivate and reactivate the procedure of transfer on their iPhone.

    Hello

I can't seem to activate auto unlock with my Apple Watch on my MBA mid-2013. I turned and on two-factor auth. I also signed out and to iCloud on all devices. Restart all devices. I always get the message to turn off two factors in order to operate. Puzzled seriously here. I'm also in the United States, a region that is supported by two factors.

If anyone has had a similar problem or found a solution, I would like to know.

I always get the message to turn off two factors in order to operate.

Just to be sure--is the message really say "turn off the two factors...". ' or 'disable authentication in two steps?  It will not work with older two-step authentication.

  • Auto unlock with Apple Watch does not

    Hello

I followed all the instructions and advice of all Web sites without success, my watch is on my wrist, unlocked and the Mac cannot communicate with the watch, or when he's on the odd occasion that the watch is not open the Mac, I still have my password.  I have not matched and repaired the watch, and the new registered in iCloud, transfer off and on again, the watch, the 6s iPhone and watch are all connected to the same network still with no luck.  This should be an ongoing and easy process as most of the functions of apple, but it just doesn't work and it is the function that I was more enthusiastic in this upgrade of the software, feels a bit like false advertising if it's this hard to operate.  Can apple be solve this problem or can help a tech guru

If the problem is that when you check the box "Allow your Apple Watch unlock your Mac" in security pref pane it breaks down and said that one cannot communicate with your watch?

You have Bluetooth and Wi - Fi enabled?  If so, try to restart your Mac, iPhone and look, and check the box again.  Also sometimes if you just wait a few hours and try to check the new it will finally work.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Don't feel alone, there are a lot of problems. Very inconsistent behavior.

  • reminders in double or auto-complete caused by Apple Watch?

I use the reminders of Apple app and I have quite a few set recurring reminders in place.

It seems that since I started using Apple Watch, my reminders have gone a little messy:

-Sometimes, if I score expandable reminder completed using my watch, one or more copies of this regular recall following are completed as well.

-J' disabled my watch for a few days. In those days, I was finishing stretch reminders on my phone, and everything was normal. After that I turned on my watch back, there was a new copy (incomplete) of each reminder that I was finished while the watch is turned off.

Has anyone another considering this kind of thing happen? I also use the fantastic app on my phone and watch, and I wonder if this could be the culprit instead of the watch.

I had a lot of strangeness with reminders since iOS 9.3 times with recurring and non-recurring reminders.

I will be a reminder and some time later, I'll see a notification on the application icon, and I'll see a duplicate of the unchecked full recall.

I used both fantastic. I uninstalled fantastic and spent a few days using just the head reminder app, same results.

I don't think this is the watch that is causing problems. As it happens regardless of if I mark complete, in the fantastic application, in the application of reminders, of the notification of the watch or the phone notification. It also happens if I mark as completed on my mac.

It seems that there is a bug syncing of reminders with iCloud.

Unlock your Mac with Apple Watch

If you have a Mac (2013 or later version) with macOS Sierra, your Apple Watch can instantly unlock your Mac when he wakes up from his sleep. You must be connected to iCloud by using the same identifier Apple on your Mac and Apple Watch.

To use Auto unlock, you must have a password for your Apple Watch - open settings , type the password, type activate password on, and then follow the instructions on the screen.

Turns on automatic unlocking. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, and then click general. Check the box "Allow your Apple Watch unlock your Mac". If you have not enabled your iCloud of two factor authentication account, follow the instructions on the screen, and then try to select the check box again.

For more information about two-factor authentication, see the article Apple Support for Apple ID two-factor authentication.

Unlock your Mac. If you wear your watch, wake your Mac - no need to type your password.

Tip: Make sure your Apple Watch is on your wrist and unlocked.
