  Then I tried to automate an installation of Oracle11gR2 and I am REALLY VERY close but need a bit of help.

  I decided to try to automate the process by using head (which is a tool of devops). The question I spin is that when a script returns 0 Chief considers this piece done, but with runInstaller it returns 0 and continues to run after that. After the first head 0 return think its done and moves on the rest of the automatism (which fails b/c oracle is not installed).
  
  So the problem is the result of the runInstaller (when used in a script) I can manually trigger installation (with a responsefile in silent mode). And when it finishes installing fire chief to finish my installation.

  I was hoping someone might be able to direct me on how to put a wrapper around the oracle runInstaller script, then it will not return zero until the installer is really done with the installation.

  Change (or split) the runInstaller script so that it will work in a way I need to.
  
  I think people probably met similar problems even if they use another method other than Chief to automate/script installation.

• Automate the VMs using PowerCLI performance report

  I want to automate the monthly performance report (CPU, memory, disk) of the Virtual Machines using PowerCLI or any other script. Basically, I want to do under the tasks mentioned on monthly basis:

  1. use of the CPU (of all virtual machines) statistical average based monthly (as a percentage). Same report for memory (in percent) and the disc (Kbps).

  2. is it possible folderwise? I have several clients in my support infrastructure and I made segregation in making records and for each of them, this report is necessary.

  3. export only these 3 reports in Excel.

  If you have used EIS, you will notice in the console, when the dimensions of the building or loading data, you can run it immediately, distributes them or save them to a file of cbs. IF save you it as a file of cbs, you can then plan their use with a batch file to run them. The Administrator's guide has a very good explanation of what do the different commands and how to run them

• Cannot start Bootcamp, after you have added the partition using disk utility

  My question is similar with repair Boot Camp after having created the new partition.

  recently I install the el capitan + windows 7 (using bootcamp), everything works fine after I add the third partition. (I anticipate the third partition will be use for dropbox, for mac and windows can sync-ing a dropbox for each folder).

  After I've done the third partition and restart the system, I want OPTION and found no windows.

  Can you post the output of the following commands in OSX Terminal?

  diskutil list

  Cs diskutil list

  sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0

  sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

  The "sudo" commands will prompt to enter your password, and there do not appear to come back. You can also see caution against improper use 'sudo' and the potential loss of data due to an "abuse" of the order.

  I use contour utility charge to build the dimension in Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.1
  
  I created an attribute dimension attached to a basic dimension (sparse), now a little difficulty to add the attribute value for each Member of this dimension of the Base.
  
  I am able to do it manually by going to each Member change the properties (adding attribute and UDA etc) but looking for a way to update using this utility charge.
  
  Ex - my metadata file header
  Employee, Parent, Alias: By default, storage operation, UDA, of data, aggregation (Wrkforce)
  
  The location is my dimension of attribute (having 10 members below) who needs a card for each employee, I have a column in the record of the employee, but looking for a possibility to map this column in load utility.

  Add another column in the source file with the attribute dimension name under the heading, in the fair fields add the attributes (in your case, one of the 10 members) with the combination of your core members. See example below

  Header--> employee, Parent, Alias: by default, storage of data, Attr_Dim_Name, UDA
  field--> employee, employee, Manager, Store, Attr_Name, 1

  Note: read the documentation on the conditions to assign attributes for basic members

  I would like to help by using the Task Scheduler to automate a "computer backup."  I also use the "back up files" to back up my data files.  I want to use the same destination for two backups drive, but must limit the space used for each utility half the destination drive.  for example, I have a 150 GB C: drive.  the backup destination, F: drive is 500 GB.  I would use 250 for backup of the computer and 250 GB for backup of files.  is there a command in Task Scheduler that will automate the backup of the computer while minimizing space used for 250 GB?  Thank you!

• Metadata generation using contour 11.1.2.2 load utility

  I'm looking to automate the process of generation of metadata using OutlineLoad utility using flat files (csv format).
  However, Planning Server is located on the UNIX machine. Is there a way that the Oracle team can place files on the Planning Server (UNIX box) or can I take the files from a shared driver (which I think is not possible, but I just want to confirm).

  In response to your question using the maxl for loading scripts?

  If Yes, I've seen and deliver in the batch (ex: load_data.bat) that is you do not have the path of the maxl script complete with a batch when passing through the event the task scheduler will work, but the log file and / or error will not be created. Which means lots claims it linked task scheduler, although he did not do what you need to.

  If you use maxl use this as the batch

  "essmsh C:\data\DataLoad.mxl" or you can also use the full path for the maxl or work elsewhere. The only reason why I think that the maxl can then not work is if you do not have the updated batch updated to call on all LANE changes maxl or if you need to update your environment variables to correct the command essmsh to work in a command prompt.

  I loaded a few accounts using contour load utility. What I didn't load right there, it was if the account type was income or expenditure (do not have the info at the time). I can load using the following csv file format:

  The excel file with accounts and the types that correspond to them and the file showing the accounts and their parents are also different. They both accounts of the list in a different order.

  I loaded a few members in the dimension of accounts using contour load utility. Everything I loaded were the names of members (in terms of numbers). The leader of the CSV was in this format:

  Now, after loading successfully, I decided that I want to load descriptions for each of these members. Is this possible? If so, what will be the format of the header of the CSV file used to load the metadata? and in general I can't add UDA, alias AFTER the load is done, or do I have to load again from scratch?

  Yes we can do all what you need to do is update the file and include the new headers.
  For the description would be the column heading:-Description, default alias would be:-Alias: default

  We have a situation where the dimension in a cube must be in harmony with 4 other cubes. These provide applications and we do not use nor HAL or ODI.
  
  Checks to see if its possible to automate the extraction of the essbase outline dimension (even if they expect apps, they have only a cube inside these apps) using the extractor OTL and load the same in different planning using Outlineload.cmd applications.
  
  If not, please advice how could automate this process without HAL or ODI.

  Outline Extractor is driven from the command line.
  Contour charger is driven from the command line.
  Updating cube is the engine command line.

  In theory, you can it batch everything and call the public services.

• I use a VPN in AirPort Express. I've updated firmware for 7.7.7 and DNS assigned by my VPN does not work anymore. Upon entry, the icon 'internet' in utility Airpot turns brown, and the internet stops completely. Anyone have any idea?

  Why my internet connection dies? I use a VPN to my internet at home. I put the DNS numbers supplied by the company VPN in my airPort extreme, which, in turn, provides wireless for home. It worked perfectly until I updated to firmware 7.7.7. Suddenly the green light next to the 'internet' in airport Utility icon went Brown, and it is therefore most all internet. I put numbers in DNS to my ISP, and internet provider is displayed again. All the other numbers in DNS, whether it's Google, OpenDNS or VPN to stop the dead from the internet. Anyone has an idea about this?

  Airport base stations, are at best, a VPN-well past that device. It is a server or a VPN client. Upgrade to the latest firmware does not change this fact.

  To create a VPN tunnel using the AirPort Express Terminal, your computer must be running a VPN client that connects to a VPN server somewhere on the Internet. What DNS servers you use should make no difference with VPN.

  If the ISP-supplied DNS servers do not work, I would say that you contact your ISP to find out why they don't allow you to use them.

  What we need to study is more why you lose Internet connectivity when changing the DNS servers of your ISP. Please check with them and to report back, then we can try to help.

  Your question has nothing to do with iCloud. You should remove unnecessary data from your phone to free up about 10% of your phone's storage space.
