Automatic email after regular business rule enforcement

Hi all

We have some administrative rules that will be scheduled on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Our requirement is that every time when a scheduled business rule is executed an email is sent to the administrator (by specifying the name of BR and execution time). Can someone tell us how is it possible?

We are on 11.1.2

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards.

Another possibility, if you plan to command line is to use the command-line without email utility for example blat.

  • Failed to refresh the database after a forced shutdown of the business rule

    Hello Experts!

    I am currently test and adjustment of performance of business rules in Hyperion Planning 9.3.1. I started a business rule in the Regional service Console that ran a lot too long so I decided to stop it manually. But after this manual stop when I try to refersh Essbase of Hyperion Planning (Administration > manage the database > database update) I get the following error:

    + com.hyperion.planning.olap.EssbaseException: impossible to restructure. There are other active users on the database [%s] (1013101).

    I remember having forced company rule stops earlier in other Hyperion Planning 9.3.1 deployments and they did not generate such errors. So could you help me on how to stop Hyperion Planning of this error after manual business rule stops because it's very likely I'll have do them in the future? Thank you very much!

    Are you sure he permanently stopped and everyone is out of the database, you can enter into the EAS, see view sessions.

  • Security on Business rule Runtime guest

    I have a form which, upon registration, runs a set of business rules that allows users to select a member of our dimension entity set to run.

    We do NOT want the users who have access to "TotalCompany" to run the commercial rule throughout the company. We also can automatically draw the variable of the form because the entity is determined by a Variable defined by the user who, as far as I know, can be passed to a business rule.

    Is there a way to limit or to prevent users from selecting members of top level security on the Runtime rule fast company?

    I found a solution to my problem.

    User variables can be passed to business rules after having patched to 11.1.2.2.300. In the form of business rule tab, check the box "Use as replacement value" on the dimension represented by a user Variable in your form. In the 'Value' field, enter the name of the variable user preceded by an ampersand (& UserVariable). Assuming that your BR has placed emphasis on the value selected on the form ({DimensionName}), it will be executed on the member selected in the user Variable.

  • Associating a sketch of business rule in the EA

    I saw him on some environments, after restarting the services, you will need to access Hyperion Planning application in the workspace before being able to see the application from planning to service Regional business rules. Initially, none of the applications appear in the box "Select the database schema".

    Did someone knows if it is a bug, problem with the configuration or the actual functionality?

  • Read blackBerry passport automatically emails

    My passport shows automatically emails as 'reading' a short period of time (in minutes) after the reception - even if I did not open or read the email. I was unable to determine why/how that happens. Everyone knows this and they were able to solve the problem?

    I unchecked the one on mine and I don't have the problem. Additionally, make sure that you don't move e-mails to a personal folder. The Inbox must be read. If it is marked as read on the server by Outlook, it will be marked as read on devices, including your iPad.

  • Function 'Internet time' will automatically refresh after reboot - please help

    I can't get the "Internet time" auto time update function system after restarting the computer in windows 7.  He should tell me when the next synchronization will happpen, but this isn't unless I do it manually by clicking on the button update.  Then he went after the reboot.

    Example: If I click on the clock at the bottom right of the screen and then select "Change date and time settings" and then click on the tab "Internet time" he says: "this computer is configured to synchronize automatically with"time.nist.gov.  Then on the next line, he says: "this computer is configured to synchronize automatically on a regular basis.   However, I checked that he never does that.  Or he tells me when he is going to do.

    To temporarily solve the problem, I click on the "Edit settings" button and then click on 'Update Now' and he said, "the clock has been properly synchronized with time.nist.gov on 15/03/2010 at 22:25" for example. I press OK.  So far so good.  Now the tab "Internet time" has a line that reads, "next synchronization 16/03/2010 at 02:25.  Which is 4 hours later, because the specialpollvalue registry variable is set for 4 hours.

    THIS IS WHAT I WANTED!  But the next time I restart the computer and check under the tab "Internet time", it comes back again tell me what is the next synchronization.  And the problem comes back to where it will not refresh automatically.   So reboot he kills.  All this works fine on another computer with XP.  But on a new, clean installation of windows 7 that is not.  Am I missing something?  Is there a setting I need to adjust so that it can stay active after restarting?

  • Business rules that write to members as read-only?

    Hi all

    Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3 user with a read access to the members were able to write the data using business rules.

    Now, let me know if this has been fixed in the newer version 11.1.2.3 or still they exist.

    Concerning

    Anubhav Boitel

    Hello

    Not is still not corrected in 11.1.2.3 as well. And I don't think it will be close in early releases as Essbase must resolve individual access permissions which runs the rule and which would add something to the current schedule of enforcement of the rule.

    Incase there are such better rule make you a folder separated with restricted user access on them. As this is a very difficult task to check for the planning system to see what are the members in the BR has the user to access. I think that's the reason to launch access to the BRS because they are very sensitive which can make your app obsolete in terms of data.

    Thank you

  • "Cascading" business rules composite form of Tabs

    Long post. I'm here for the ACEs in the stem. In 11.1.2.2.300, we have a composite form with multiple shapes in the form of tabs. Two of these forms have business rules that run on individual forms, not on the Composite shape. Three of these forms have no business rules that run when recording. The following behavior is:

    1. when we open the composite shape to a tab of a form without top business rules and click on save, the data is committed.

    2. when we opened the composite shape to a tab of a form that has a business rule that works on record and click on save, the data are engaged and the business rule is executed.

    3. the problem is there: when we open the composite shape to a tab of a form that has a company that rule runs on save and then we open a DIFFERENT tab with a DIFFERENT shape which has NO business rule to this subject, and click on save the data on the open tab/form is committed and the business rule goes against the members on the OPEN form. Not the form that made the business rule to this topic.

    4. If, after step three, you open a different form that also has a top business rule and press on save, it runs both the business rule in the open form, AND the business rule of form before.

    Is this a bug? For?

    For those of you more visually inclined:

    Form/tab A - form by default upon opening, without BR

    Form/tab B - BR

    Form/tab C - no BR

    Form/tab D - BR

    Form/tab E - BR

    1. open Data Composite of form - see form A. press on save - committed to the database.

    2. click on the tab B. press on save. Data committed to the database. B rule business runs.

    3. click on the tab C. press save. Data committed to the database. Company B of the rule is running on members on form C.

    4. click on tab D. press save. Data committed to the database. Company B of the rule is running on members of business of d. form rule, D runs.

    5. click on the tab E. press save. Data committed to the database. Company B of the rule is running on members of the form E. company rule D works on members of the form E.

    NOW the weird part!

    1. open the composite shape - see formula.

    2. click on tab D.

    3. click on the tab B. press on save. Data committed to the database. Business rule B runs first on the members on the form B. business rule D then runs on Member on form B.

    Our first theory was that because BR B came first in alphabetical order in the calc Manager, B pulled before. We have this disproved by renaming and changing the order of B and D in calc Manager. BR B always run before D. BR our second theory was that the business rules are executed based on the order in which they appear in the tabs. But we have refuted this as well. We concluded that the order of business rules is in order that their "links" exist in the rules on the Composite shape. Help!

    Tried this on our system and we have same question... It looks like another bug in EMP 11.1.2.3... SR trigger with the support of the oracle, they could fix it in future versions...

    In fact

    I just re thinking about your message. My comments above is not correct for your situation. The syntax above is correct if you are talking about the code 'in' the model itself (so if you open the template and look at the code). But if the code you have posted in your messages made from the window of script of the rule (in script view) then your problem is something different potentially.

    So the first thing is to make sure that in the model itself (open model), the PDT is defined in the global range or range of Member as [Parm1], [Parm2] etc. (or difficulty, depends on the way the model is shown) as I said in my first reply above, the model only defines the DTP, not members and must be placed between square brackets , as [Parm1}. Who will make that the DTP as defined in your model correctly. Then we need to look at how you define these PDT in the rule itself. Normally, it is much easier if your rule is in the chart view, as you just click on the model and you can enter the values. As you have your rule in Script mode, you must be very careful about how you set the values of the PAO. Every DTP 'type' has a different syntax in script mode.

    Looking at your script again I see another problem potentially. When you set the values in the DTP, the value must locking with double brackets, so [['three year Budget"]]. In your script, you must also in brackets. That is not always correct. There are moments between brackets and double square brackets is correct, but it is only when your DTP is of type 'Members', and by default, according to me, old macros of business rule translates into templates with the "Script" DTP types

    So, if you also change your business section where the models are defined as below; (as you can see, without parentheses around the DTP values).

    UPDATECALC OFF SET; AGGMISSG OFF SET;

    Model % (name: = "FCOm_TargetSection", application: = 'FCO', plantype: = 'FCO', dtps:=("parm1":=[["Three_Year_Budget"]],"parm2":=[["DGAllocation"]],"parm3":=[[{FCOrtpYears}]],"parm4":=[[Mar]]))))

    Model % (name: = "FCOm_TargetAgg", application: = 'FCO', plantype: = 'FCO', dtps:=("parm1":=[["Three_Year_Budget"]],"parm2":=[["DGAllocation"]],"parm3":=[[{FCOrtpYears}]],"parm4":=[[Mar]]))))

    The end of the game should be that when you open your rule and the view script and script tab then select low bottom your models should look as below, as you can see, everything that needs to be included in the script are the values substituted for the definition of the model, the key point is that there are no brackets or parentheses. The script should show script "pure". (I have highlighted and underlined how these 4 PDT should result in script mode)

    First model:

    UPDATECALC OFF SET; AGGMISSG OFF SET;

    /****************************************************************************************************************

    parm1 = scenario

    PARM2 = version

    parm4 = periods

    The purpose of this macro is to translate the target entry to GBP and copy of Curr NA and associate. Step 1: Copy the total Section entry to I / P Total Section and no step 1 project: copy converted into money - no need to translate entries all entries are in GBP step 2: copy entry GBP to Curr NA values

  • Command prompt to export business rules

    Hello

    I wonder if there is a way to export business rules to XML automatically via the command prompt (instead of do it manually through the Console of Regional service).

  • Console of Regional service and the business rule

    Let me explain the scenario.

    I will execute a business rule that takes more than a day to run. After 5 minutes, or so says planning that exceeded the time allotted. or something like that. Console work shows that he is still under treatment. When I look at EAS console business rule is still ongoing.

    My question is the rule running in the background, it will complete 100% or Regional service console will end the long rule on its own?
    In other words I just wanted to be sure when the Regional service console does not show treatment any more, is it because my article has run successfully, or is it being done?

    Please forgive me for the lack of information.

    Concerning

    There is a special setting to this situation as far as I know, if you start a rule from a form, he would go to the bottom by default after 30 or 45 seconds otherwise the calculations finished by this time with a special warning message, but always run in the background as usual.

  • How to stop with force business rules

    Hi all

    I'm developing an application of classical planning using Hyperion 11.1.2.2

  • Migration of business rule

    Gurus,
    I have a question about the migration of the Ros.
    11.1.2.1 is, and I have some BRs in my planning application.
    I want to migrate the BRs from one environment to another.
    To do this, can I export business rules from the source (by right-clicking on the node RULES of business in environmental assessments) and then import them into the EAS target environment. If so, is it specific anyhthing I need to follow, for example any file system to save it or I can save anywhere, etc. like this.
    And what I need to do something after I import business rules?
    Any suggestion would be great.
    Thank you

    If you go this route, you just need to make sure that you select the rules and dependants and save in an xml file, the in your import target the return XML in.
    It is also possible to migrate using LCM, so choose the method you prefer.

    See you soon

  • How to undeploy deployed in planning business rules

    I'm unable to undeploy deployed on Production test management rules. Removal of the calculation Manager leaves BR in planning... is there in another option?

    Try this http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/cmgr_admin/ch07s03s01.html

    "To delete a business rule or ruleset from an application after the deployment of the business rule or the ruleset, make it ineligible for deployment by clearing the check box next to its name in the deployment view. You can then perform a full deployment of demand by opening and deploy. »

    You have already deleted rule of Calc manager tries to create empty rules with the same name (if the first full deployment would not help)
