  I bought a HP EliteBook less than a year ago and it comes with Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. The laptop has 8 GB of RAM installed, of which half can be used at the present time. I did not realize the limitation when I bought the thing!

  I would like to install Win 7 64 bit to make use of all of the RAM. I realize that it will take to reinstall all my programs, etc. From what I can tell, the computer seems capable of running a 64 bit OS.

  What I was asking is whether I can use the Win 7 Pro 64 bit installation disc provided with the laptop computer to make the change. Only problem, is that I don't seem to have a Windows product key. Can find no sticker on the laptop and the key-coded in the registry gives an error when I try to check with Microsoft.

  So (1) will drive works? And (2) I need a key, I do not have? HP will give me a button if I call them? Help!

  (1) Yes, the disk will work.

  (2) it is unlikely that HP will give you a key. You may or may not need a key depending on the HP disc gave you. If the drive has been modified by HP, it can contain keys SLP and a SLP certificate which, when used with an OEM computer with a good automatic SLIC table active.   Just installed studio 8 on my new Macbook Core-Duo. But I discover some problems with Fireworks that I didn't have before (with MX 2004 on XP.)

  These warnings are not a problem for the export settings you use, not for CreateSpace so they can take the dynamic transparency.

  I know that the title of this discussion is a bit murky, but the problem is a little weird.  I have Photoshop CS6 v13.1.2.  In this version, I will activate the selection, automatic check selection tool: layer, select Show transform controls and then while using the selection tool, I will drag to create a rectangle to select several layers with content in the specified area.  Unfortunately, this action doesn't work when I start the selection of outside of the area of the canvas.  If started from in the space of the canvas, any rectangle will appear, it will show me a measure of the size of my choice, and then choose without diapers as soon as available.

  This may not be working as intended, right?  I mean multi-Select drag cannot be wanted only work when started outside the canvas on the right?  Is there a way to fix this?  Is this a bug?  See the images below for more information on this issue.

  

  If you have the tool move on automatic selection, and you begin to drag inside the canvas... It will not work as you expect that it is not selectable area unless the point where you click to start the drag operation (such as a locked layer or transparency)

  When you do it the way you describe... the move tool self-selecting a layer and pass only a layer.

  Look at your layer panel and see which layer targeted to your insertion point of the trail. And lock it.

  I am now using Windows 7.
  For 6 years I have been using Vista, I never activated Aero, not to mention transparency. Reason: huge consumption of resources and slow down the performance.

  On a 3 screen inches (1920 x 1080 each) Setup ran on an ATI HD4890 (1 GB of RAM, 2 screens running) + HD 3450 (256 MB RAM, 1 screen running), whenever anything graphic intensive is put on the HD3450-driven screen, Windows will complain "the color scheme has been changed in Windows Basic - the color scheme current has exceeded its allowed memory. then the color scheme has been changed automatically to improve performance.   However, it is worth noting that the 3450 is not stressed at all (all the load is put on the 4890 according to GPU - Z).

  Basically, the aero theme is enabled according to the video card.

  Windows Display Driver Model is the architecture of graphic driver for video card drivers that are running versions of Microsoft Windows starting with Windows Vista.

  WDDM driver model version 1.0 is that it does not support multiple drivers in a configuration multi-adaptateur, multi-screen, the latest version is 2.0 is introduced.

  Windows disables the window manager of the Bureau (DWM) that controls the transparent glass effect or other effects of the Aero theme. The DWM manages the office and the main display settings in Windows.

  I suggest you to check with your manufacturer for the latest drivers support your hardware configuration.

  This is a real nuisance to have to manually set a usb scanner to scan in to an application that does not work on win7 naitively.
  And it makes it impossible to deploy the application in a transparent mode, since the scanner is not attached if you try to run transparently without initiating 'Desktop' mode xp mode and manually attach the scanner first.

  Hi all - I have a solution that works, the only problem is the cost.  USB over network Fabulatech.com, share the USB device using the server component (in the windows box 7) and install the client in the Virtual Machine XP Mode and it will automatically connect at startup of the machine.

  If you need to share the USB device between the computer and the computer/application in XP Mode Windows 7, you can install the USB on the network client on the computer Windows 7 and settled on manual, in order to launch local applications with a CMD file that starts the network client USB key first before opening the application.  This way, the USB devices are available to any devices to connect to via USB on customer network.
