  I think that these two problems are the same, by setting a date/time field using the rawValue always format must be yyyy-mm-dd, if you use a different format, the value is just seen as text and poster without shaped.

  var date = new Date();

  You can also set the formattedValue if you have a date in the correct format.

  Best way to do is the following:

  -Open the PDF in Acrobat.

  -Go to tools - form - form more Options - export data.

  -Save form data in an XML file somewhere on your system.

  -Open the XML file in a plain text editor (I recommend Notepad ++).

  -Let's say you want to replace all the years in dates "2013" to '2014 '. Do a global search & replace '2013-' to '2014' - (I added the dashboard in order to ensure that only the date fields are changed).

  -Save the XML file (maybe under a new name).

  -Go back to the PDF file and now go to tools - forms - more form Options - import data.

  -Select the modified XML file and import it.

  -Fact!

  I have a form I created a Date/time field that automatically fills when open.  I also have a reset button so users can reset the form empty.  I'm trying to figure out how to erase all of the data entered on the form and also to reset the date and time.  I could also have the set button to print the form and then erase all data and reset the date/time field?

  Hi Maja,

  the date picker widget is active only if the date and time fields data format is set to date.

  Check the settings of fields in the binding tab.

  In the case of the field time (in Formcalc) output:

  $ = Upper($.formattedValue)

  just make usre that you specified the dsiplay pattern you want on the object palette.

  I have a field on a form such as date. I try to validate the entry date, must in fact be a date AND equal or after today, otherwise stay on the ground until it is corrected.

  Use FormCalc for this, it is easier to do date arithmetic in this language. Follow these steps on the exit event of the field (i.e. the way the user has already chosen a date). There is a function called (Date2Num) which will be the date that went and convert the number of days since a specific time (called at the time). So you would have to number of todays het can get the number of the date, the user chose, and do a simple test to see if today's number is higher than the current one. Something like this:

  get the number for the selected date

  var selectedNum = Date2Num ($.rawValue "YYYY-MM-DD")

  the Date() function returns the number of days in the time to the current date (date system)

  I'm pretty new to this tool (LiveCycle) - once more to try to modify/create a pdf form on very simple writing

  I inserted 2 fields of date time. I have a correctly configured automatically insert the current time, when the form is opened so the user does not have to do... ;

  The following field must be a time field so that the user does not enter anyone.

  I have the date field load properly, but for the life of me cannot get the time to display at all.  I tried:

  1 Add a new date/time field

  2 duplicate one that works and just change the format of 'Time '.

  3 tried to remove them both and then create again.

  I discovered by removing both and starting, as I can get the date to appear in these two areas, but I can't do anything else to appear.  I can not get the time to appear in each area. !!

  Frustrated: Somebody can tell me what I'm doing wrong here...

  Because I don't see a place for me to download the form here, I posted on the following Web site

  I think you just download it and take a peek - if someone would be so kind - could explain things better to see for yourself.  It seems buggy to me, but I do not know!

  The time field was still date in script functions, although you use a time model (in the object > field > models).

  Just changed the script for:

  Current time in short-style date format.

  I have created a form where I wanted each form field to have a label so that the user knows what to connect, BUT when I arrived at this day it became clear that I can only do one or the other, enter a name or select a date format, because they are both under the same category selection and you can choose only one.   Yes, it is possible... Basically you would use something like this as the custom for the field validation script:

  You have syntax errors in your code. Also, it seems that the logic of your code is reversed. You copy the value of GarageAddress to MailingAddress, instead of what you have described. I suggest using this code (as the MouseUp event of the checkbox) instead:

  I am trying to capture a number in a text field, and then do a calculation on it. This is for navigation, if a person can type in what form they want to go to. However, it always seems to the value as a string and I need to be to do the math. Can I change the data type of the textfield or variable?

  I have a table which allows the user to add a name, they also have the ability to add additional names to the table. What I then do is auto fill out another table with these details.

  If you had textfield objects that were outside of a table, then you would have the same name for both objects and use global binding (see the object > range of binding).

  This actually gives you a two-way binding. All that a user types in a field, automatically appear in the other.

  However, this may not work with textfields in tables, or certainly not in dynamic tables where the user can add rows. This is because the value in an object in a single line will be repeated in all THE lines.

  So if you have a static table where the user can add rows, then you can set the lines and objects with different names. The associated static table would have the same naming structure. Then global link might work.

  If the table is dynamic, I have a script example here, where there is a loop on the event to exist that crosses the table and replicates the data in the related table. See here: http://assure.ly/eTOXaH.
