AVCHD NTSC and NTSC DSLR

In Project presets that is best to use AVCHD NTSC or NTSC DSLR? I used AVCHD in the past with success to make a video presentation but am now reading to use the DSLR. I hesitate to change when AVCHD has worked for me. AVCHD depends only to camcorders and DSLR cameras?  Thank you

What model of camcorder is your video games coming from what format and resolution is it?

The setting of the 'good' project is the one that best matches your original source footage.

Also, what version of the program are you using? Since version 11, the program generally corresponds to your video settings, based on the first clip you add to your calendar.

  • Using the AVCHD settings and 60 fps creates problems when the final product will be at 24 fps

Using a canon vixia HF R62, trying to get the end result of highest quality of my work. I learned that shooting AVCHD to 60 fps is the highest quality I can achieve. What problems can I encounter when the final will be played at 24 frames per second?

Suggestions for the workflow would be greatly appreciated, as I'm at the very beginning of learning what and how to do things properly.

    Robert

    Hi Robert,.

If you look at a picture of the 24 p video and compare to a frame of the video of 60 p, 60 p frame will look better. When people say 60 p is the best quality, it's because you get several images per second... not better executives... just more of them. But as we have already mentioned, it is useless in shooting 60 p If you send only 24 p. Frame rate conversion will affect the final quality!

Just keep in mind that you need to adjust your style of shooting for the 24 p, which means no fast pans for example of what they will offer very rough.

  • CS6 bridge - AVCHD metadata and keywords

Recently switched to video AVCHD & CS6.

My Media Player, I have a folder of images where I dump the contents of my memory cards.  I copy the entire structure of AVCHD file/folder.

I would like to organize these images in Bridge CS6 by modification of metadata and application of keywords.  However, I can't do it anymore.  When you try to change the metadata, I get an error "this property cannot be changed.  When you try to apply a key word, I get a "file xxx. MTS does not store the XMP metadata. No change will happen"error.

There must be a way to do this... I forgot something?  Or bridge is not able to do?

  • No good visualization of files imported into PE7 (AVCHD, VOB and same avi).

    Hello

I just bought a new Mac (map chart 4-core, GeForce GT-125, 4 GB of RAM and huge disk space system hard 640 and another a Seagate 1 .5TB) with the parallel use of Windows.

I can import the files above in the PE7 (it takes a while anyway) separately or together.

After you import the I see on the main window of PE7, on the left, several other open windows by behind or the message: media import. What disappear when I try to read the project or file.

A lot of my small clips, surprise, that I recorded with a normal camera foto they behave similarly.

When I try to play one of the files above I have no view, but only sound and not very clear (as someone would swich - off - at all times).

All the foregoing happens in the scenline.

When I go to the timeline that I see on the site imported clips, a line red and good course the same as before (just sound, etc).

You say that you are on Windows with Parallels on a Mac?

If so, such problems are quite common. Unlike the use of a dual boot, when you use Parallels, you run both systems at the same time, and that can lead to this sort of bugginess.

Assuming that you have all updates for Windows, I'm not sure that there is a solution for this.

  • Problems with AVCHD and Premiere Pro CS5

    Hello world

I am a rookie with the first and AVCHD format, and this is my first time that I write on this forum. I hope you can help me with the following problem:

I turned of the AVCHD clips in 1920 x 1080, 25 fps. I managed to create a project in first Pro CS5 (not a trial version), but unfortunately, I did the project with preselection of 720 p. After that, I learned that it is wiser to create project 1080i and adjust if necessary export 720 p phase down. Seems reasonable. Well I've started it all again and created a project of 1080i. For some reason I do not understand first do not recognize and import my clips and have not yet created sequence01 (default name) in the project window. Does anyone have an idea why this happened? I tried several times but the results have been as bad as the first time. Yet a 720 p test project has not imported clips. What makes this weirder is that after and hour or so I tried once more and this time everything went well. Everyone knows a similar situation with AVCHD and first CS5? This could be a problem first or did I do something wrong? I use Windows 7 64-bit.

Another thing I thought is that what are the best export affecting export AVCHD 1080i (or 720 p) a project on YouTube? As I found alternatives: mpeg2, mpeg4, H.264, wmv... And is it important if I export the video first or encoder Adobe? In other words, all the tips for successful taken YouTube video are welcome.

    Thanks in advance!

When things go weird reboot pc.

Sequence must correspond to images which in this case his 1080i50.

You choose a preset or drag an item to the new icon.

    To export on YouTube:

Export should make it faster than the queue.

  • Problem of transitions and AVCHD CS4/CS5

Hello. I found a big problem in premiere CS4 with transitions. So, when we have clips on the timeline and we create transitions between sound and click on all the space its ok without rendernig for viewing. But when we cut a clip and create transitions in the range of this clip is terrible. When you click images of the space are not smooth and an excerpt of this video is terrible. Understand me? Test in your first cs4 I think it's problem first, but perhaps we can solve its help

Well - this is excactly my problem too - I used the same AVCHD clip and edited into smaller clips that I put in place. Whenever the transitions will stutter and freeze PPro CS4 - tried to open this excact same project in PPro CS5 and got the same error - tried to mix a lot of clips of diferent together and they play smooth and enjoyable - even with lots of effects and transition. Adobe please something on this subject in the future update! There must be a problem of editing AVCHD here...

  • Put the AVCHD images 16:9 on a 4:3 timeline

I need to put my AVCHD video screen on a timeline of 4:3, I played it on cable TV access. CATV station does not play widescreen. They want it on a timeline of 4:3, Letterbox.

So I created a new timeline... DV-NTSC Standard, which is 4:3 and then copied/pasted my video of the original timeline on the timeline of 4:3. Then I chose the Clip/Video Options/scale to the size of the image. I did this several times during the use of SD images that I shot in 16 / 9 on a SONY PD-170. But the AVCHD quality suffers, even after having made. The quality of securities in particular suffers. I then tried to manually adjust the size of several clips, but although the quality of the title is perhaps not so bad that it was through "Scale to frame size", it is further degraded.

Do you have suggestions as to how I can put my 16:9 video to AVCHD on a timeline of 4:3, while preserving video quality?

    Thank you.

    Sorry missed this part.

What happens if you did an avchd editing and export to 4 "3 letterbox?

  • Equipment for playback of the AVCHD of the EP 10 DVD

Just downloaded PE10.  Nice to see quick and flawless (up :-)) support for my Sony HDR SR7 .m2ts files.)

I saw the tutorial on the sharing of high-quality AVCHD on a normal DVD (not blueray).  This sounds good.

Which player of the DVD specification would be necessary to read the DVD on an HDTV?  I have a DVD player which is probably 5 years old.  It was before there was a bunch of HD stuff around, and while I don't really know what "upscaling" etc. is about new DVD players, I see in the stores, I'm sure that my DVD player has none of this.

Or do I need to buy a blueray player to play these types of DVD AVCHD/non-blueray created by PE10?

    Thanks for any help.

    Dave

Well, we got there in the end!  I'm overjoyed.  Thanks to all who helped.  I can finally enjoy my HD camcorder and share images of the way I've always wanted.

At the risk of extending this discussion, I will summarize what I did:

I have a Sony HDR - SR7E HD camcorder.  This device is a hard drive (as opposed to mini DVD or other).  The manual says that it records HD video in the AVCHD 1440 x 1080/50i format / audio in Dolby Digital 5.1 ch.  I live in France, so it's a PAL (as opposed to NTSC) device.

When I use the Sony software to take movies recorded off the unit, he wrote a number of .m2ts files in my hard drive.

Start APE10.  I chose the "PAL - HDD, memory Flash camcorders - HD 1080i 25 (50i)" preset.  Your may of course differ.

I added the .m2ts files to my project by selecting the tab 'Get media', "Files and folders").

Once the .m2ts in APE files, I simply dragged a block of them down on the timeline in the usual way.  I didn't put any transition, but I added a few landmarks from stage for the test.  I used about 10 minutes of video.

For the disc Menu, I used the model of 'Fun '.  This is one of the four that is provided, and it happens to say 'HD' on it, but don't know if it's significant (goes for test options menu later).

Then, I put a blank DVD-R disc (not Blueray) standard in my standard DVD burner (not Blueray).

In the "Sharing" tab, I clicked on the option 'drive '.  I chose the "AVCHD" option and click on burn.

When the burning was finished, I took the disc in the living room and put it in my new Sony BDP - S480 Blueray player.  This is related to my Sony Bravia HD TV via HDMI.

I hit play and was amazed!  I thought the quality of the TV is indistinguishable from that observed by playing directly from the camera into the TV via HDMI.

    Notes:

The Blueray player was not the bottom of the line of Sony, but it was only 129 euros, which means probably less than $100 in the United States.  Sony sells one here for 89 euros, so it must be REALLY cheap in the United States!

My tests and the results of others in this forum suggest you should limit the duration of your timeline to 25 minutes (about 4 GB) to ensure that all goes well when recording on a 4.7 GB disc.

Hope this can help someone.  With APE10, I suspect it's going to be a rush on the Blueray drives...

Thanks again to all.  A lot more to learn, so I don't know that I'll talk to you elsewhere in the forum!

    Dave

Elsewhere, Steve, I'm enjoying your tutorials at Muvipix.  Look forward to exploring more of your site.

  • Playing AVCHD movies

I have a Sony camera and want to play my movies on my Mac AVCHD without having to download the 3rd party software - is it possible?

You can double-click the AVCHD package and it will open in Quicktime Player.

If you extracted the MTS files out of the AVCHD folder, I don't think there is anything natively on Mac that plays them independently of all the information in the AVCHD folder.

They have to import pictures and iMovie, also. Same caveat applies about free MTS files.

  • In first 12 items can I use entry AVCHD from my camera?

The main Question that I used to record video clips on my camera in MPEG format. And do regular video PAL TV All Good. Now have Apple MAC and MPEG playback quality is bad. So changed the setting of the device to AVCHD. This improvement in quality back play on MAC and imported into Home Catalog OK. But PE composed with this and that I have not a BLUE Ray burner, can I still make regular DVD? Related issues... you may be able to help with... but don't worry if you don't know that, because simply use Adobe for now...     The MAC only sees the content AVCHD on the map as 'something', its not in the DCIM folder, but AVCHD 'record' and won't copy and paste it into a folder. But Photoshop is OK and put them in my selected folder, but then I can't view through the Finder. QuickTime can be selected to open with. Is there a way to handle this as a separate file and open in the Finder? Thanks Chris

Absolutely! In fact, AVCHD is one of the most ideal formats for editing in Premiere Elements.

And you can export your finalized as a BluRay or DVD movie, but also a number of other formats.

  • Problem with video playback and color

Whenever I try to playback video, it has the red and yellow bars vertically above my video. When I rub it, video is fine, but when it is on a fixed image looks like it of a corrupted file and export the files with the same problem. It is not the computer or camera because I can read in an editor similar like Final Cut on the same computer or on a different computer first, and I ingested several file formats (AVCHD, MP4 and MPEG 2) cameras still problem in the exact same manner.

Is there a software framework I am missing or is there a problem with the first?

  • Another question about AVCHD

    Hello

Response to the question I asked here yesterday Re: transferring to 11 items Prem AVCHD movies can I just clarify that if I record in AVCHD mode and editing mode AVCHD in Prem 11 items, I need a Blu - Ray player in order to enjoy the benefits of the audio/visual of this shooting mode?

If I don't have a Blu - Ray player, which I did not, I can still film and editing AVCHD but I need to save the file as an MPEG-2 file and then burn this file on a standard DVD for playback on a standard TV DVD player?

    Thanks again.

    Steve

    Steve,

Thanks for the reply with precision.

    1. regarding the customization of your publication + share/computer/AVCHD with Presets = MP4 H.264 1920 x 1080 p 24...

    Advanced tab button/video...

Please define Pixel Aspect Ratio 'Square pixels' instead of what you have set in your screenshot (screen 16:9 wide).

2 save it in: you show in your export the screenshot dialog box now has export from the timeline by clicking a .mp4 file in the Documents folder. Don't forget the OpenDVD folder and VIDEO_TS folder related to burn on DVD-VIDEO on DVD and what will be on this disk after burning of. You don't do that here. You export the contents of your calendar to a file with the extension (.mp4) file and video compression (AVCHD).

    3. When you want to burn your AVCHD.mp4 (1080p50) to a large display of DVD VIDEO to DVD disc, then

    a. you would be important as AVCHD.mp4 in a Premiere Elements project with the project 1080p50 preset

    and

    b. use Publish + share/Disc/DVD disc with preset = DVD PAL_Widescreen_Dolby to get your PAL DVD-VIDEO screen wide format of DVD disc you should be able to play on your computer or DVD TV player.

Major thought is that you can import your source and then export it in various formats of difference that have unique properties for themselves.

Please let me know if you're OK with the above. If any necessary clarification, do not hesitate to ask.

    Thank you.

  • I adjusted dumped final cut pro and use first now, I still need to convert images

I use final cut for more than a decade now, but I don't like what they do with their program so now im going with what I feel is the application more professional who is Prime Minister

So, for years in FCP, we do a thing called LOG AND TRANSFER

Basically, you pointed the program to the SD card and then you could name your clips and import it into a more editable format

so now someone told me, the Prime Minister is different because you can change from the SD card format and not have to transfer and to encode in a different format.

is this true? that I don't need to encode in a different format on the Prime Minister

Another think Edub should be aware of.

    1. In FCP, you log and transfer files, which transcode to ProRes.
    2. In Premiere Pro, it is not necessary to do so.
    3. In Premiere Pro, you can import files via file import or via the media browser.
      1. For .mov files and simple image files, you can use the file > import
      2. For basis of AVCHD files and other file based devices, use file > import, use the media browser
        1. This allows all your being imported with the file metadata
        2. This includes clip spanning info, if you are shooting long tongs, so it is important.

    Thank you

    Kevin

  • First Adobe elements 12 - export ready the chronology of the project, the AVCHD files in a separate folder for burning on Blu Ray disc with other software?

Hi, can anyone help please.  This is the first time I've used this forum.

I use the first 12 items, a PC, 64-bit, Windows 7, to high power.

Just started to hack AVCHD in this software.

I would like to know if it is possible to export topped with AVCHD files in a folder somewhere else (which were imported in the project calendar), so that I can burn AVCHD trimmed (not in the form of a 'project') of Blu Ray disc files (using another software that I know that works to burn video files to Blu Ray disc).

    Kathy

There is no export of Premiere Elements (any version) which will give you a file extensions .m2ts or. MTS. .M2ts and .mts are extensions of file that represents the container format that envelope the AVCHD video, and any audio compression file has.

The .mp4 should serve your purpose... destiny using the file to burn it to Blu - ray disc format on say Blu - ray, copy the disc Blu - ray and edition BDMV folder video file in the file/STREAM BDMV folder (which is a .m2ts file).

But what we could try (think it will work) to work around the problem

    1. export your Timeline with the publication + share/computer/AVCHD with presets = MP4 H.264 1920 x 1080 p 25.

    2. to the hard disk of the export of this mp4 saving location, then simply rename the mp4 to MTS or m2ts file extension.

If you send this file to burn it to the disc Blu - ray to Blu - ray disc format, double check that this person software supports import of .m2ts and. MTS.

Is the recipient of this emphasis on mts or m2ts file?

Please read and review, maybe try it like a mini series of tests.  Feel free to ask if you have any questions about the foregoing.
