Average heart rate at rest?
Y at - it an easy way to calculate your average (non-exercise heart rate at rest as an indicator of fitness shaped over time?
In health, I can say ranges heart rate at various points, and even a list of each heart rate recorded at throughout the day, but have not yet found a way to use measures of heart rate watches Apple to give me a reading on my average heart rate at rest. Assuming that it is simply a GIANT omission by apple, all third party app recommendations would be appreciated.
Hi Steven
For example, you can find the following useful third-party application:
- HeartWatch
- The developer recommends:
- "HeartWatch allows you to see how your heart beats through four simple representations. Wake up, regular, workout and sleep. »
- "Regular pulse is a term used in heart watch to isolate the readings that your watch is in the background every ten minutes of these readings that you take during a workout or with those taken during sleep."

When I do a race with my Apple Watch I don't have a frequency heart displayon the session screen. When I then sync my activity with my iphone there is also no average heart rate on the completion of my activity. How can I get my heart rate displayed?
Hello
Mode power saving can be activated.
To check this, on your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > Workout - if it is currently enabled, disable power saving Mode.
(When the power saving Mode is enabled, it disables the sensor of heart rate during workouts running).

Accuracy of the resting heart rate

How to put in the front of the watch during swimming to see heart rate
Received the Watch 2 day and taken for a swim practice in the pool (of course)
happly to see enough faithfully has towers and gives average heart rate but only AFTER training
I wanted to 4000 m (and I fact..) but from the exercise the watch when asked for the total calories to burn.
QUESTION 1: how to set the distance (rather than calories)? At the start of the year?
While the dial of the watch training appeared when out of the water and gave the number of laps, total distance, total time of exercise and calories burned.
QUESTION 2: you can change the information presented during the swim to see heart rate? (Rather than the number of Calories predictable)?
NOTE
For swimming training, the watch is a bit disappointing, given that in the swimming training, you normally do a few repetitions as 10 x 100 start each 01:30 or 01:45. I normally use the watch of Garmin swimming to take the time (100 m start button and press again on arrival) of the clock, then briefly shows duration of the tour and afte 4 continuous seconds so you can see when you start again (e.g. to 01:45). I hope that there will be a third-party solution soon for Apple Watch 2, while I don't have to swim with two watches...
Hello
1. After selecting the length of the pool, slide laterally on the screen to move to a distance goal, which can be set in meters or yards (firmly press the screen to switch between them).
2. follow the following steps to customize the information displayed by the application of training during your workouts in the pool swimming:
- On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > training > training view.
- Choose several metrics.
- Tap pool swim > press on edit (top-right) > select up to 5 parameters, including heart rate (they can be arranged in your order of preference).
- When you are finished, tap on Done (top right).

heart rate iWatch gives sporadic readings
I use my iWatch everyday to monitor my workouts and recently the watch started giving crazy readings. It will start to normal and 10 minutes in practice, it will say that my heart rate is in the 1940s. Then it will go up to 180 + and then back to normal for maybe 10 minutes. Meanwhile it greys out for maybe 3 to 5 minutes and said measure... I unpaired and reset and it never does not. It's very frustrating, because when I do a 1 hour training session I should get an average heart rate of 140-160 and now I get 80-110.
Anyone else having this problem? Are there any current patches?
Hello
Apple says that, even in ideal conditions, Apple Watch may not be able to save a reliable heart rate monitor each time reading for everyone.
For best performance of the sensor of heart rate during the training, Apple suggests you consider your clamping beforehand watch band and he loosen again thereafter.
The sensor is also likely to give better results for workouts that involve rhythmic (for example running) rather than the irregular movements (for example boxing). Other problems that can affect the performance of the sensor include the perfusion of the skin and wrist tattoos.
If your workouts involve flexing your wrists (for example what weight lifting, for example), it can help to keep your watch a little higher on your arm, the joint in flexion.

The way heart rate monitor works in watch
I have been using shows since the first day he appeared in Spain. Latest operating system installed os shows 2.
I usually run, leave, for example, 4-5 days a week. Sometimes in one race track, other running the streets.
In November, I discovered something that makes that there is something wrong. The operation of the heart rate monitor. I found, specially everything by working in the rail bearing, series of facts and gestures and running at different speeds, that sometimes heart rate was 165 and, in the next step, same minute, he is 75, and then, following measures in the same minute, once again 165... I went to an apple store and gave them time to study, but they could not "recreate" the problem, so they have nothing did... Of course the problem occurs only when running, so I guess that none of the technicians used the watch to get out and run for a few kilometres.
Most of the time the measures are ok, but last night, almost 9 km, running increasing pace, I found 6 times with incorrect measures.
Attached you will find three examples of screenshot taken. In this case, the change in the average heart rate is not important, but in other cases I couldn't use the reference, the watch switches for 10 to 15 minutes of wrong measurement.
The watch was properly placed around the wrist, so it wasn't the issue. And this has not happened before, with higher temperatures. Someone might say, s all about sweat, but there are more sweat in summer than in winter. Someone might say it is because of wearing long-sleeved shirts when running in winter, but this isn't the case, as I fold the sleeves to avoid it going between the watch and the skin.
I don't mean the watch doesn't work properly, but, obviously, the results provided are not correct.
Any help will be welcome.
Kind regards

Even in ideal conditions, Apple Watch may not be able to save a reliable heart rate monitor each time reading for everyone.
For best results, it is important for your watch to fit comfortably against the top of the wrist. To help with this, Apple suggests you consider your clamping watch band before workouts and it loosen again thereafter.

Data of heart rate watch/iphone for mac?
I don't know how to use the on the watch heart rate monitor and I know how to see the daily lists of heart rate through the day on my iPhone, but I can't figure out how to get all the data that is listed on my MacBook Pro or even an app to see what traced on my iPhone 6. The list is great, but I really want to see this trace on another way. The apps I've seen for the iPhone can take each day and give me an average, but which is useless, since a few days I do intense exercise and others do not and average is not what I'm looking for.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hello
Health and fitness data from other sources, iPhone, and Apple Watch are shared with and grouped within the health on iPhone app.
The data of frequency heart he include a chart, that trace data of heart rate of your choice of course day, week, month or year (press the tabs to change the time period):
-In the health app (red heart on a white background), go to: health data > Vitals > heart rate.
-To add the table to the health Dashboard app, enable this option.
This and other application of health data can also be exported, which you may find useful for a more detailed analysis (health app: health data > All - Share at the top button on the right).
There are also a few third-party applications that you might find useful - for example:

A wild guess, it is what has something to do with the size of the message and the fact that wire you a 12 for the "bytes read" entry:
bytes to read is the number of bytes to read. Use one of the following techniques to process messages whose size can vary:
- Send messages that are preceded by a fixed-size header that describes the message. For example, it may contain a command integer that identifies what message follows and is a length integer that identifies how much more data in the message. The server and the client receive messages by issuing a function of reading eight bytes (assuming that each is a four-byte integer), converting them in the two integers and using the integer of length to determine the number of bytes to move to a second reading works for the rest of the message. Once this second reading is completed, each side loops to playback of the eight byte header. This technique is the most flexible, but it requires two readings for each message displayed. In practice, the second reading full usually immediately if the message is written with a single write function.
- Make each message of fixed size. When the content of a message is less than the fixed size that you specify, touch the message to fixed size. This technique is slightly more efficient because only a single reading is required to receive a message at the expense of sending unnecessary data sometimes.
- Send messages that are strictly ASCII content, where each message ends with a pair of return / newline of transport of characters. The playback function has a mode of entry which, when past CRLF, causes the read until you see a jump of line and carriage return sequence. This technique becomes more complicated when the message data may contain CRLF sequences, but it is quite common in many protocols of the internet, including POP3, FTP and HTTP.

In 2008, I studied the heart rate, swimming speed and the time relationship developed software to assess the effects of the training. At that time, we needed a HR-band, a receiver and sensors to record the lap time. It is now all integrated into the new Apple Watch. So, I just want to have access to the times and HR to see if I can resurrect the MatLab routines...
What I need is access to the times and human resource records. (I hope they have a timestamp, so I can sync the two).
Question:
How can you get access to registered swimming times and recorded heart rate?
I thought it was possible health app (iOS9) but I can't find the option to export in iOS10?
Tips appreciated... Thanks in advance.
For any consultation on iOS 9, in the application of health tap data on health > all, which has an icon of the top export which saves files xml inside a zip archive. This is perhaps similar to iOS 10?
P.S. I read that on the Apple Watch heart rate data were inaccurate, while swimming so let us know if you have good data about him.

App for Apple Watch series 2 allow the use of heart rate, gps, and manual splits?
I run about 60 miles per week and I plan to change my Garmin Forerunner 620 for a series 2. However, it would be totally useless to me if the watch does not intermediaries, as many of my workouts are pretty accurate. So, is it possible for me to intermediaries on the watch, and when looking at the splits also see the GPS info and heart rate for the said stock split?
Hello
To mark a segment (for example one lap) during running exercise using integrated workout app, you can double-click the screen. The display briefly shows the stats for this segment. Segments can be examined after training through the activity on the matched iPhone application:
You can see that an application of third party best suited to your needs.
To learn about the characteristics of third-party applications, I suggest you consult the descriptions of app developers and their support resources. For example:

Apple Watch: How can I get my heart rate to show the application of fitness?

My quest for this question has resulted in answers for original 2015 watch/OS so I wanted to ask you again see if something has changed with the new series 2 and the latest OS.
I'm looking for an alarm function on the Apple Watch who notify me if my heart rate exceeds a certain level. This could be from the BONE, or a 3rd party application that runs on the watch (and he can't function without my phone). It looks like such a feature useful for physical training and medical emergencies that I would not be surprised that someone has not implemented it. but my research has not given anything whatsoever.
Hello
Heart rate alerts are not currently available as built-in iOS or watch OS feature.
Also note that Apple Watch, heart rate sensor and the apps included Apple Watch are not medical devices and are intended solely for purposes of fitness. They are not designed or intended to be used in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions, or to cure, mitigation, treatment or prevention of the disease.
You can find the application third-party following (for example) of interest:

- "NOTICE: you can set up notifications for the following scenarios: what heart rate exceeds a value of bpm, when heart rate is less than a value bpm."
- "NOTE: because your health is encrypted, store iPhone notifications only available when your iPhone is unlocked." This occurs in the background when you use your iPhone in an unlocked condition for any purpose, so in practice, you will be alerted as long as you regularly use your iPhone. »

Does anyone know if you can pair Bluetooth headset at the same time and heart rate monitor strap chest Bluetooth with the Apple Watch series 2? I can't find any info about it online. I hope so, because they have everything works without your phone now since it has GPS. Obviously a chest strap heart rate monitor gives you a more accurate reading. And who is running without music? If they want to really all the new capabilities of fitness improved series 2, that this is a must!
The original WATCH allows you to do this, so I don't see why the series 2 would not.
