AWR and dba_feature_usage_statistics
Hi gurus.Important information about the license found below.
http://download-East.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B19306_01/license.102/b14199/options.htm#CIHJJBGA
It is said that the use of AWR has (to access v$ active_session_history, dba_hist_xxxxxxx, oracle_home/rdbms/admin/awr*.sql, etc.), we need extra license, correct?
After that I installed enterprise edition and set up EM (not in the grid) for test, I have questions
1. I checked "remove access" on the screen to access the configuration menu of the EM management pack.
but I can always find all views (dba_hist_xxx, v$ active_session_history, etc...) on CWA.
is this correct?
2. I ran a $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/awrrpt.sql script, but I can always find that the value of the column "Currently_Used" of the name 'Automatic workload repository' the view 'dba_feature_usage_statistics' always is 'FALSE. '
is this correct?
Thank you.

Yes--or need to license (available only for Enterprise Edition) diagnostics pack

Yes. It does display in EM. Given that some of these views are also used for other things internally, it does not remove them. You get NO points of view.

Oracle AWR and ADDM report for a multiple instance Oracle database 11 g 2 (RAC)
Hello
How to create an Oracle AWR and ADDM report for a multiple instance (RAC) Oracle database 11 g 2?
Concerning
Hello
Oracle DB 11 g 2 AWR Global report before 11 GR 2, the awrrpt.sql generation
under $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin only generates the report awr for the local instance.
You will need to collect for each RAC instance awr report.
11 GR 2, there are two new scripts awrgrpt.sql AND awrgdrpt.sql for CARS
awrgrpt. SQL - AWR Global report (RAC) (global report)
awrgdrpt. SQL - overall Diff AWR (RAC) report.
Some other important scripts under $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin
spawrrac. SQL - Server Performance RAC report
awrsqrpt. SQL - statement of the standard ANSI SQL92 report
awrddrpt. SQL - period diff on the current instance
awrrpti. SQL - workload repository Instance (RAC) report

Review of details of AWR and ASH reports
Hello...
is there than a documentation on AWR and ASH reports so that the report is studied in detail...
For an example
IN the report of the ASH
If you take Section TOP SQL with TOP events section...
There are number of columns such as SQLID, Planhash, sampled # executions, % activity, event, high-ranking Source, TEXT SQL
Here this column sampled number of executions a number of times where SQL has been executed... right...?
and another high-ranking Source column wrote his ACCESS TABLE - FULL or any group by clause etc.
In the example above, just like that I want to study in detail with each section of the AWR and ASH report
See you soon...Hello
I have a few articles abour AWR in my blog:
http://Savvinov.com/2012/09/10/a-map-to-AWR-report/
Maybe they can help you to a certain extent.
However, you must understand is no detailed instructions on reading AWR, because:
(1) AWR is just a collection of performance statistics, so read requires an understanding Oracle performance and how it is measured rather something specific to CWA
(2) practical experience is most important theoretical knowledge of tham

Thank you.1 are necessary the AWR and STATPACK reports?
No, only AWR enough with the latest features
2 AWR isn't enough, we have all by itself?
Yes, however statspack is free, but the need with the AWR additional license.

How can I know for sure that AWR and ADDM is enabled in our environment?
I'm going to EM, Administration tab, link Automatic workload repository and I the number of snapshots . I was able to click on one of the IDS and 2 tabs are available to me - Details and report. When I click on the report, I see any kind of summary. In addition, I was able to click on the View ADDM executed on the upper right.
Are these signs that AWR and ADDM is turned on? If so, how can I check OS_USER them walking, and when it was turned on. Snapshots dated back to last week. Is this a good idea? And how do I turn it works back? But I thought AWR and ADDM requires a special permit; extra cost package, isn't?
Yes, and these not requiring license.

Load data to the warehouse of the AWR problem
Hello!
I started to use warehouse AWR and especially database loaded successfully.
But a few DB, there is problem, here is the output of 'Instant download now' job:
SQL > SQL > SQL > BEGIN dbsnmp.mgmt_caw_extract.run_job_now; END;

ERROR on line 1:

ORA-06512: at line 1
Someone at - it experience with similar problems?
Problem solved. things to check:
-parameter job_queue_processes > 0, scheduller work MGMT_CAW_EXTRACT must run every 3 hours.
-CAW_EXTRACT directory must exist and point to the directory in the directory agent 12 c.
Dbsnmo.mgmt_caw_extract.run_extract of procedure can be executed manually first, after that this download job runs successfully.

How to find the sql queries executed in one day with the sql and runtime text
Hi Experts,
Please tell me the sql query to find out the queries executed on a particular day and the runtime and the sql text of the query.
Please reply urgent.
Thanks in advance
Database instance 'A' may have run 100 SQL queries today. As for the instance of database 'B' could have exploited queries SQL 1 million today. Instance of database 'B' to 'keep' the 1 million SQL statements - in memory or on disk do you expect? Of course not. There the age or flush or invalidate memory SQL statements. He can't keep them on the disk (imagine running a completely different set of 1.2million SQL statements tomorrow and 1.3 the next day).
AWR and StatsPack can make counts the number of "n" top of the page ("n" default to 30) SQL statements which are still present in the cache of the library (not years, rinsed, invalidated) when a snapshot was taken. They can't declare "all" SQL statements.
To return to your needs. WHY do you need all the SQL statements? Or are there only certain operations specific SQL would you be interested? Could they have been treated by allowing audit (for example, UPDATE and DELETE with EXTENDED verification instructions)?

Using sql developer before 4.x... report works fine
Using SQL developer 4.0.0.13... report fails with ORA-01422
using the actual query to generate awr against the same range of component snap works perfectly
I opened a SR on the question
Thank you
It's always a good idea to open a SR when you are able. I assume that you have already received a response from support. For others I wondered about this, the question is likely related to running the report against a CCR environment, as indicated in the following bug:
Bug 18132564 - LAST AWR REPORT FAILS WITH ORA-01422 IN CCR ENVIRONMENTS
The call of the AWR report requires parameters for a DB and an ID of Instance, so that the report should run, as in earlier versions, for only the current instance, or be modified to run all instances in the cluster.
Kind regards
Gary
SQL development team
P.S.: And, in fact, a discussion prior forum - ai2 4.0-AWR and ASH giving ora-01427
lead following bugs are connected and supposed to be fixed for SQL Developer 4.0...
Bug 17481944 - PERFORMANCE PANELS NEED AWR/ASH/ADDM FOR RAC ENVIRONMENTS SUPPORT
... with the developer commenting
I've added a number instance selection control to the various reports: ASH,.
AWR, difference and SQL. The control is supposed to be visible when the
connection is a RAC system, tests should a RAC.So if you are not on a RAC system, or are on CARS but do not see the selection number instance control, please let us know.

Hello
That I improve my certification of Oracle9i, Oracle10g. I'm currently studying AWR and its structure. A book that I'm reading is saying, "the total size of the memory AWR area should not exceed more than 5 percent of the size of sharing pool"
I know that there is a parameter that allows you to set the size of the sharing pool but I know not how set the area of memory AWR in the share pool or SGA. Y at - it a parameter to define the area of memory AWR?
It would be great if someone answer me, please.
Thank you.
Asif
As far as I know there is no direct parameter which determines the awr memory usage, can you shows us the link or book where it is written, because there are some hidden parameters allows to say in the historical case of the current session as _ash_Sample_all = true in order to see the amount of ash data is sampled and more stats interval rinse , buy the way you don't need all this worry that as that is managed internally, in 10G you just need to worry about automatic shared memory management...

I don't think that this figure is very useful - is not to tell you what SQL (user or recursive, what happens the 22 percent of the time, etc.).
So far, you seem to forward the wrong way. You are looking for in your CWA to find a problem. It's like a medical doctor looking at test results to see if a patient has a headache. You ask the patient on the headache and then you look in its test of possible clues as to what is the cause.
Same thing with AWR. Ask your users what's troubling them. So look AWR and try to see explanations for it.
Best regards

explain plan before and after?
is there a way to know what sql plan was before and what plan using is right now?
I know we can look to dba_hist_sql_plan but don't know how to put all the togeather...
I'm on 10.2.0.3
I have a sql this running slow at that time, I have the sql_id for it now... looks like God's throne
slow and last week it was fine... you need to know what the plan of the explanation was last week?If you lincenced use the AWR and history tables, you can do
SELECT * FROM TABLE (DBMS_XPLAN. DISPLAY_AWR ('& SQL_ID')); -to get the SQL execution plan, as he was executed in history
For the current, you know how to get it
SELECT * FROM TABLE (DBMS_XPLAN. DISPLAY_CURSOR ('& SQL_ID'));
SELECT * FROM TABLE (DBMS_XPLAN. DISPLAY ('& SQL_ID'));You can also query dba_hist_sql_plan, and format the results.

Hi all
Anyone can answer my query below
What is the recommended interval during which instant execution statspack or AWR and why?
Thank you
ConcerningFor statspack, simply use the Oracle condition spauto.sql and you'll get a glimpse of the once per hour.
Make it longer, and you will not be able to discover the peaks of high activity.
If you have performance problems, a useful interval is 15 minutes. Shorten and statspack activities will probably begin to strain database.----------
