AWR and ADDM

How can I know for sure that AWR and ADDM is enabled in our environment?

I'm going to EM, Administration tab, link Automatic workload repository and I the number of snapshots . I was able to click on one of the IDS and 2 tabs are available to me - Details and report. When I click on the report, I see any kind of summary. In addition, I was able to click on the View ADDM executed on the upper right.

Are these signs that AWR and ADDM is turned on? If so, how can I check OS_USER them walking, and when it was turned on. Snapshots dated back to last week. Is this a good idea? And how do I turn it works back?

But I thought AWR and ADDM requires a special permit; extra cost package, isn't?

Yes, and these not requiring license.

    2. I ran a $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/awrrpt.sql script, but I can always find that the value of the column "Currently_Used" of the name 'Automatic workload repository' the view 'dba_feature_usage_statistics' always is 'FALSE. '

Yes. It does display in EM. Given that some of these views are also used for other things internally, it does not remove them. You get NO points of view.

    Hello
I have an interesting question here. I have a database of size 80 GB its actuallty a Peoplesoft DB (Remember:Peoplesoft DB is null goal year Oracle DB). I have 120 users accessing it. We have a server of DB with 16 GB of RAM and CPU 8 - core. How to calculate the size to be allocated to the LMS No.. DB writer process required etc... To be short, I would like to have a list of init parameters that would make my DB more quickly. Thanks in advance.

It's always a good idea to open a SR when you are able.  I assume that you have already received a response from support.  For others I wondered about this, the question is likely related to running the report against a CCR environment, as indicated in the following bug:

Bug 18132564 - LAST AWR REPORT FAILS WITH ORA-01422 IN CCR ENVIRONMENTS

The call of the AWR report requires parameters for a DB and an ID of Instance, so that the report should run, as in earlier versions, for only the current instance, or be modified to run all instances in the cluster.

  • AWR files in oracle

    Hello
I use AWR reports feature in ORACLE 11 g to get the vital for my application ststiatics. However in SQL sorted by elapsed time, I get a lot of queries table SYS. Please help me with the settings to get the specific schema queries only.

You may be using the wrong tool?

A report at the level of the system as AWR or ADDM isn't any use to you, if your application code is not significant at the level of the system.

You might want to review the follow-up of your application sessions using client_id or module to identify these sessions owned by your application, and then possibly use TRCSESS and TKPROF.

    What is analysis?

-> any query SQL under validation goes to the shared pool

Hard analysis SQL going for below in the shared pool

    Syntax

    Semantics

    Transformation of the query

    Optimization

    Create an executable

soft analysis (reduced time spent by jumping the redundant task)

  • How to find the sql queries executed in one day with the sql and runtime text

    Hi Experts,

Please tell me the sql query to find out the queries executed on a particular day and the runtime and the sql text of the query.

    Please reply urgent.

    Thanks in advance

Database instance 'A' may have run 100 SQL queries today.  As for the instance of database 'B' could have exploited queries SQL 1 million today.  Instance of database 'B' to 'keep' the 1 million SQL statements - in memory or on disk do you expect?  Of course not.  There the age or flush or invalidate memory SQL statements.  He can't keep them on the disk (imagine running a completely different set of 1.2million SQL statements tomorrow and 1.3 the next day).

AWR and StatsPack can make counts the number of "n" top of the page ("n" default to 30) SQL statements which are still present in the cache of the library (not years, rinsed, invalidated) when a snapshot was taken.  They can't declare "all" SQL statements.

To return to your needs.  WHY do you need all the SQL statements?  Or are there only certain operations specific SQL would you be interested?  Could they have been treated by allowing audit (for example, UPDATE and DELETE with EXTENDED verification instructions)?
