Backlit keyboard for my laptop.

I recently bought a HP laptop and I was wondering if I could pass the keyboard by purchasing a backlit keyboard. I just want to know if the backlit keyboard would work with my laptop because I read that it is not compatible with any laptop.

Also, I would be able to buy and install a wifi with blutooth card, or my laptop is not able to use it?

HP Pavilion Dv4-2165dx

Hello

The first manual/guide on the following link tells you two things:

a montherboards for the series do not have a place for you to plug in a backlit keyboard. You need lights for the keyboard, not you? That's the average, you will need to buy a motherboard also.

(b) a list of wireless cards compatible with BT (page 1-3). My suggestion, buy a BT - USB dongle for little money can solve the problem one avoid a lot of headaches.

Can I replace a Keyboard(Non-Backlit) with a backlit keyboard in my laptop HP Pavilion 17-e020dx?

    Hello

This series of computers portable your (and many others) have only 1 option for keyboard:

Full-size, island-keyboard with numeric pad in black or white finish. Gesture of support: MultiTouch gestures
activated, two fingers to scroll and pinchzoom as default
    Faucets, active by default
Support for Windows 8 modern trackpad

Therefore, you can not replace the keyboard only, you must also replace the motherboard that supports a backlit keyboard. If necessary, it would be a very expensive upgrade.

    Kind regards.

  • HP ProBook 650 G1: upgrade to a backlit keyboard on a laptop HP 650 G1

    Hello

I recently bought a HP ProBook 650 G1 laptop. This model does not have a backlit keyboard and I would like to upgrade one.

From what I've read on the internet on this laptop motherboard supports a keyboard backlit (the model is HM87 Intel) and also on a PDF detailed on the HP site describing this model it is said and I quote "Optional backlit keyboard.

Can someone tell me which keyboard should I buy? Because I can't find online. Can you give me a reference number of the backlit keyboard for this model?

Or a reference to a compatible model number. I guess maybe a backlit keyboard of a different model of the laptop must be compatible with mine. I found laptops with similar keyboards like mine but backlited (as hp envy 17) but I don't know if they are compatible.

Sorry for my bad English. I hope that you will help me find a solution.

    Thank you!

The current store (which still offers this model) does not list an optional backlit keyboard. The backlit keyboard part is not listed in the manual. It's as if they plan to offer that he decided to do not. About all you can do strip up to the motherboard and see if the header is there. Without that, it's a show-stopper. If it is there, the keyboard that would work would be a keyboard of another model of 15 inches and I don't know who it is.

  • Backlit keyboard for dv7t-4100?

I need to replace the keyboard of my Pavilion dv7t-4100.  Is it possible to install a backlit keyboard, i.e. the connector present backlight on the motherboard on this model?  If Yes, what is the part number for the backlit keyboard?  I heard of people install backlit keyboard for other models.

By pulling on the maintenance and Service guide that I do not see any option of backlit keyboard ever made for this model.

When it comes to finding some kind of alternative (alternative/modding parts) better would be to consult the forums of notebookreview.com for any additional information, but from personal experience, that backlit keyboards, there is a year needed a source of additional energy to light making it a little difficult installation.

  • Hello, please help me. I use a power keyboard for my laptop. I see in the new keyboard is equipped with a num lock key is turned on. I can't use on it please help me disable it. I do not use a NumLock on. Thank you

Hello, please help me. I use a power keyboard for my laptop. I see in the new keyboard is equipped with a num lock key is turned on. I can't use on it please help me disable it. I do not use a NumLock on. Thank you

You say that when you press the NUM LOCK key, the Numlock State does not change (if enabled to disabled and vice versa)?  Have you tried to unplug the keyboard and by ensuring that the keyboard of the laptop does not have enabled Numlock?  If so, turn it off on the laptop keyboard and reinsert the another keyboard and see if the problem is resolved.

If you do not need the Numlock key, it can be disabled at startup with the following procedure:http://www.technipages.com/enabledisable-numlock-at-login-or-startup.html. Once this is done, I don't think he's going to turn on or off and that they the keyboard will start in the off position.  You will not be able to use the key yourself or another, but maybe the problem she is on (which is worse than it to be impossible to be turned on) will be resolved and I hope it will be enough for you.

If the key does not work and you want to be able to use it, the keyboard may be defective.  Try the keyboard on another computer and see if you have the same problem.  If so, the keyboard is defective and must be replaced.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    Thank you!

    Hello EmerNabey

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if I understand correctly you are looking to install a backlit keyboard on your HP Pavilion laptop g4 1215dx computer. Unfortunately, according to HP G4 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide there is no backlit keyboard available for your laptop. You will normally find your part number for the backlit keyboard located under the keyboard (in this case at page 21) section, and none is listed for your product.

The good news is that you have now a response and any other upgrade guide that you want to do.

I hope that answers your question. Please bring your question on the Forums of HP. Have a great day!

  • Update no backlit keyboard for a backlit T440s?

    Hello

I know that someone has already asked a similar question.

Unfortunately, I made a mistake in my order and I bought a T440s without backlight.

Could someone please inform me if there is a possibility to leave officially upgraded Lenovo to a lighted version T440s? or buy just a backlit keyboard and I must install on myself?

Thanks a lot for your help!

    Marco

    Hello

Once you have a laptop Lenovo authorized Center could replace keyboard for your money - keyboard itself and work for the replacement. I can't imagine even how much it may cost. Assume, x 5... 10 x cost of backlight keyboards from ebay.

  • Can I replace the standard keyboard with a backlit keyboard on this laptop?

The laptop is the Pavilion 15 p267-nr. I know that the new buildings have an option for a backlit keyboard, but I don't know about this particular model. cause of my old HP laptop had too many problems. Anyway, I was wondering if this laptop in the link may change its regular keyboard for a backlit LED keyboard rather cause I usually find myself using it in the darkest of the time and the keyboard becomes hard to see in the dark. So I was wondering if you guys would know if it can be upgraded. (it would be useful for me, play games on Steam in the night)

  • can I have a backlit keyboard for hp pavilion dv6-3049TX?

Hello all, currently I'm on HP pavilion dv6-3049TX and I use this laptop for multiple purposes, like office work. I live in Nagpur, India.

I still wish there's backlit keyboard with this model as apple MacBook had. because this thing is necessary during the nights when you have so much work to do and at the same time that you do not want to disturb your roommate who sleeps.

SO I searched a lot on the internet and then I found some articles that my laptop supports the backlit keyboard. BUT those who were on eBay and sold. then I found this article "http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Notebook-PC-Questions/Replace-standard-keyboard-with-a-backlit-ke... ". the official site of hp. But right now, I find Maintenance and Service of Guide. I went through it, I also found "keyboard with backlight (including the cables of the keyboard and the keyboard light cable):" BUT I could not find "intended to" of INDIA. So please help me to get an available backlit keyboard here.

Looking at the site HP parts Surfer does not list a keyboard backlit option in the purchasable framework.

I also looked through the specifications. It does not list the backlit keyboards as an option here, but he isn't one of those enrolled in particular for the India.

I suggest to contact the HP Support in your country and see if they can help you locate the part. You can find information to contact for your country by going to the Site of Support of HP.
