• Restore 1 backup App to iCloud

  Apple gives you a way to backup apps, music, photos to iCloud, but it is not very clear for the procedure restore an application since the last backup. You can restore the entire backup to a clean iPad, but can't find a procedure or an app to help give visibility to backup content to restore the only backup application. Any ideas?

  It seems to still work very well, but I'm afraid that the packets of data, with which it works have migrated or changed with later versions of Mac OS X.

  I also use Time Machine (which has saved my bacon several times) and CrashPlan.

  Anyone know if this software is always trustworthy? Should I take it on the back behind the barn and shoot?

  I got my BB replaced the other day. I went to the Sprint store for a minor issue and the next thing you know I was getting a replacement phone. As a former Treo user, I was used to back up my Treo locally on the memory card is at least daily. Very necessary with a phone Palm. There was a problem with the implementation of the switch of the device and the store could not move my stuff. I brought my laptop and eventuall get things settled, but I really miss having a local backup. If I had had the same scenario of replacement with the Treo I would have run a backup right in the store and made a restoration in a minute or two on the new phone.   Im sure that these questions have been answered before, but I would be very grateful for any quick answer please.

  Then someone gave me a new iPhone from my provider to replace my current one and I think that I will most likely accept the offer. In this respect do I just need to backup my iphone on iTunes and then when I boot the new iphone for the first time select the option "restore iphone" in order to ensure the same things that I have on my current iphone will appear on my new? Assuming this is correct is iTunes also backup apps?

  I use an iPhone 6s 128 GB gold. I recently saw my iPhone Backup is great 17 GB, and I started to ask me, whence these 17 GB come, given that iCloud is not backup Apps, Podcasts, music, and other media. The research that I did just confused me even more. ICloud data stores of the App does not add up to 17 GB (by far).

  

  And what else confused me, was that there are apps, contain way more data, they seem to have on backup, for example my app dictionary dict.cc , which contains the value of 250 MB of data is only 15 MB back up.

  

  The same problem with my Google Maps app, which stores a large map.

  I have trouble managing the use of space in my icloud account.

  I find it very intuitive and difficult to understand exactly what I am to be invited to do everything by managing the settings.

  In other words, I find some options very unclear.

  As a note on the side of criticism; I really find the iOS any system file management, with its 'fun icon' interface approach, but almost zero - control and utility in terms of management of files, to be very tedious / frustrating / tedious.

  iCloud.com is not designed to handle files, only the content.

  From your iPad itself, go to settings > general > storage & use iCloud > iCloud > Storage manage and look in the section of backups . You should see backups that you created and its size, on iCloud for your iPad. Tap on your iPad and there is an option to delete the backup here.

  Your applications are not in your backup. They are stored on the App store, where they can be downloaded again if necessary. Toggling off the coast of the backup of the data of the App has questionable value because it is only of data an application creates, not the application itself. If you share an Apple ID with anyone or any other device, their content goes to iCloud as well. 5GB allowance is per Apple ID, not per device.

  I am backup on a network location. Windows backup is a new backup set every 3-5 days. (In Vista, backup did not this... I did manually every month 1-2).

  It's take a lot of hard drive space and does not allow me to keep older backups (and versions of file) as long as I would like. Is there a way to stop the backup to do this automatically?

  I got around that a bit. Here's what I do...

  I have a laptop HD (250 GB) I do a full backup on via USB, including image system, once a month. Then use the NAS (1 TB) disk for daily backups, * NOT * including the image of the system.

  It works much better (without accidents or mistakes of mystery), faster, takes up less space and its backup sets new not create nearly as often. I did this about 3 months now and I'm getting a complete new only once a month right after I save it to your portable drive.

  So, if I get a crash, I can restore from the portable drive frist. Its much faster than over the network as well. Then just update the new or changed files through the network backup.

  Now, just to clarify, you need to change backup settings to local disk backup, USB, then change again once it's done to get on the network.

  My daughter has a Mac. Here's how it saves.

  (1) plug the USB HD it uses for backup.

  (2) IT NOT THERE NO STEP 2! Time Machine does it all. so easy.

  It then, I would like to think I didn't need Windows for some things. Quicken on the sucks Mac, MLS (real estate site) does not work in Safari and Outlook for Mac leave much to be desired.   Hello Qigate,

  The issue of verification, is to the best of my knowledge, developed by Palm.  It is not related to the issue of backup that you see.  If you have Palm webOS 1.1 is installed on your device (it must have been automatically pushed and installed on your device now), you should be able to fix the backup problem.

  1. start the backup application on your pre.

  2. set the backup feature of it off.

  3. When prompted, press the button disable and delete backup.  The pre will be occupied for a minute or two.

  4. in the application of the system of information, scroll to the bottom of the page, and then press and hold the reset the Options.

  5. press on the grey restart button.  When you do, your pre restarts itself.  This process will take a few minutes.

  6. once restart is completed, return to the backup application.

  7 activate the backup feature and manually save your Pre to make sure that the Pre can communicate with the server of Palm.

  At this point, the Pre should save automatically every day at the same time that you triggered the manual backup in step 7.
