• Satellite Pro S500 - 11 c - bad audio performance

  Hi people,

  I have a Satellite Pro S500 - 11 c who suffers from bad audio performance mentioned in the comments of the S500 - 11 c (yes I * + look + * comments and excuse the pun).

  This makes it very difficult to use this laptop for music, VOIP and Skype without having applications to carry on a heaeset of a certain type.

  Someone at - it to another eperianced this problem and had a solution. No help from Toshiba?

  Sorry, but what kind of problem mean you? Is the sound not loud enough or what?
  I want to say that this laptop has standard stereo speakers and harman/kardon speakers not high-end inside.

  I have the Satellite L300 with same stereo speakers. The sound is OK, but not as good as on other laptops with h/K speakers.

  By the way: what kind of help do you expect? A new driver that makes the speakers more hard maybe?

  You cannot add a fake device.  You can create users in the system using the BWS with the API "createUsers.

  You can create administrative users who do not have a device, but order of queries users device information (device with users), they must be registered and then company activate their device against that account which was created (using the email address provided when they were created).

  A number of companies use BWS (BB WebServices) available to their users prior to their receiving device user.  Once they receive their device, the user will add an account using the Enterprise Activation password that was set for them when they were saved/created.

  In the absence of the user to activate their (physical device), you will only have the user objects stored in the database with no realization of activation (No PIN, the device type, model, OS version, etc.).  You can still use BWS for the users from the list, add it policies, add them to groups, etc.

• Inpiron 15R 5537 - bad game performance or prolonged inability to sleep/wake?

  This post is a complaint and a call for a solution that is a real tool for troubleshooting.

  The problem is: after I've updated my notebook to Windows 8.1, I noticed on the screen would not back off from his sleep. Has been my solution: install generic drivers from AMD. And the problem was over. Not only that, I was able to play the same field 4. But then I've locked the computer and has failed to wake it back up... again...

  Long story short: I'm mad on this subject and I really wan't to know: why the ADMIN NOTE: replace character removed according to the TOU > you guys put HD Graphics of Intel and AMD HD Board altogether? If I have a NOTE from the ADMIN: replace character removed by TOU > 8850 M why the hell I'm going to need a NOTE from the ADMIN: replace character removed according to the TOU > Intel HD Graphics? If you guys had this brilliant idea, why aren't you able to develop a decent driver, one that allows the 8850M high performance, it can handle and the HD from Intel to manage anything, should it manage? and finally: is there is a solution to both problems, which is?

  2 uninstall display drivers using Uninstaller to display in safe MODE driver

  and restart

  4. install the latest AMD Catalyst Mobility 14.4 for AMD support site link: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/mobile?os=Windows%208.1%20-%2064#amd-catalyst-packages

  and restart

  5. open CMD as administrator, and then type "powercfg - restoredefaultschemes.

• Bad Photoshop performance on a high end machine.

  Hi all

  New to the forum but not new to photoshop, have been using it for many years now and understand a bit of his performance issues. How ever, this one is a new one on me and something that I can understand everything.

  Lets start with the question and then poorly run the specs of the computer Im using.

  Question:

  Photoshop will work fine for about an hour and then when opening multiple files, it will slow down to a point of lag. closing and reopening will not fix the problem. The only solution I have right now is to erase memory using ALT, Shift, and CTRL when you open photoshop. This will reset back to the first hour or so of good speed.

  I thought it was a ram problem or a graphic problem but had not noticed any spike in my system when running. This is a job for me the tool so need to understand what the problem is.

  It is a good point. There is a process called CEPHtmlEngine that often consumes a gigantic piece of CPU and often work in several instances. From my experience, it extends the time Photoshop starts up, so does not correspond to a work station slows down over time, but worth it for. If you find THAT CEPHTML is running, then close the library panel, and restart Photoshop. As long as the library is closed while the process does not run.   The estimation of cardinality for the full scans seems to be out - 100 lines against 78,000,000 and 1 703 000 respectively. The estimate of 100 strangely resembles a defect because the two tables are, as I said, an interior view. In fact, if I break up of the view to its constituent tables, queries run in a tenth of the time.
  
  
  How can I fix this misinformation, most likely created by the view?

  You run with optimizer_mode = first_rows_100?

  If yes then you may have found a bug in the code of first_rows_N. 100 seem to have been pushed inside the view in a way that has made Oracle to the full index full scans while only "intend" to find 100 rows in each table. There catches the limit of 100 as the actual limit in deciding which online source to use as the hash and which will serve to the probe.

  If you want the entire result set, or a large part of it, you could add the all_rows education indicator.

• Qosmio F750: Bad WiFi-performance / upgrade possible?

  I noticed that the F750 only connects to my AP @ 65MBit/s where my other laptop (old Dell XPS M1330) reached between 200 and 300Mbit/s.

  Yes, I know that the Toshiba laptop using a WiFi card of rather ordinary 1 x 1 of Atheros and I wonder if an upgrade (perhaps to a 6230 Intel) would be possible.

  I have two servers.  A Dell r.620 with a h710p running in raid 5 - ESXI 5.1, 799733

  When I use Veeam to migrate a virtual server to a former Dell 2950 to the r.620 I get around 50Mbs.

  Then I have a Dell 630 with H330 RAID 5 - ESXI 5.1, 2000251

  When I use Veeam to migrate a virtual server of the same 2950 to the R630 I get 9 transfer of Mbs.

  Can someone tell me if it's really because has 620 a controller card raid of dough with 1GIG hiding on that?

  It would be really 5 times faster?

  Yes, the battery or the sustained write flash cache makes a huge difference (often 10 X or more) for most RAID controllers. The controller cache option writeback mode, while a controller without this option works in the hollows and write mode. Writeback mode acknowledges the write operation as soon as the data is stored in the cache. For the write-through mode recognition requires that the data has already been written in the disks.

• Google Chrome good or bad for battery performance?

  I was wondering if Google Chrome's download on a MacBook Pro or if I should just stick with Safari?  I hear that Chrome is good and bad for performance and life of the battery on the MBP machines.  That you have experienced using this browser?  Thank you.

  Try as well as FireFox, and then decide that you prefer. FWIW, I prefer FireFox.

• VMware Player, really bad performance.

  I'm a really bad, unusable performance with any client VMware. I've tried combinations of:

  VMware Player and VMware 10.

  XP, Win 7, Linux Mint operating systems, among others.

  All comments VM to run incredibly slow. Some of the questions include:

  Movement of the mouse very slow/lag

  Takes less than 60 seconds for firefox, or any program to open.

  When a program is open, the shift makes it just unusable.

  I tried to install the computer virtual invited to different readers, including an SSD.

  I tried the resolutions of 800 x 600 up to full screen.

  I downloaded and installed the latest VMware tools.

  I searched and tried all the possible solutions I found on google for the last 2 weeks.

  I checked the Bios to ensure that virtualization is on.

  I tried to vary the amount of Ram and CPU available on the guest virtual machine.

  mem 32g

  SSD and a couple of WD black 1 TB drives

  I am at a loss. If anyone has any ideas what else I could check it would be greatly appreciated.

  The host operating system uses Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit, and for the programs that are running, it may be a fresh restart with only the usual windows services.

  With respect to the way in which the guest virtual computer is configured, I tried varying amounts of ram and cpu. But as it is currently is:

  Memory 2 GB

  2 processors 'virtualization = automatic engine.

  (SCSI) hard drive 60 GB

  NIC NAT

  Any other information needed please let me know, I'd really like to get this working. I got it on my old machine, a processor AMD/MB. When I built this Intel machine he developed suddenly problems...

  Edit... After addition of the motherboard in my google search, it may possibly be a Bios problem with this motherboard. From the looks of him, I may have to go back to an older version of bios. Investigation is ongoing.

  Edit #2... After rolling back to the version of the Bios 2.5 it seems that my problems have disappeared.

  For all those who use the ASRock Extreme 4 with a processor 2600 k flash bios to version 2.5

  There are known problems using a processor 'K' with this motherboard and VT and bios versions more recent than 2.5 seem to have done even worse...

  An article published recently (http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1013857) is intended to provide guidance on how to improve bad runtime performance P2V would be machines.  My opinion is that this article is a big step backward compared to the increase (fast) to quality content in the Ko in recent years.

  I think that this article extends more FUD done - I can just see these recommendations taken by some of my customers, with confusion and maybe chaos as a result of their nominal value.  Especially because the title and the preamble before seems to indicate he brings difinitive.

  I can raise objections to factual and subjective reasons:

  • Fact: the article is poorly written and has apparently not been checked properly.  It looks like a copy - paste of a conversation between an engineer and a customer support.

  • Fact: the recommendations provided in the article are not necessarily relevant to the issue

  • Notice: the recommendations provided are vague and questionable at best

  • Notice: this type of article does more harm than good, because it encourages the "best practices" that are not necessarily recognized as such in the official documentation of the product and potentially based on engineering of intuitions rather than fact.

  • Opinion: I think it's clear now, but I don't share a lot of the advice given in the article.

• Moored W510 has really bad update video internal display

  I noticed that when I anchor my w510 in my dock, updates on the internal display is terribly slow.

  What I mean is that scrolling in applications is very choppy and rough.

  Play videos full screen creates 'split-screen' effect where the Summit of the half is out of sync with the bottom half, this separation is not constant, different media are the divider at different locations. several media have it in about 1/3 from the top.

  This is also apparent in other applications like games full screen.

  I did some research on the internet about this behavior and have not yet found a good explanation.

  First I thought it was something power, I have no 135W power, and I checked the CPU is without limitation down or something unusual rooted or not anchored. I read people have bad experience with the power of 90W with limitation or simply bad terrible performance of the CPU down.

  The really strange thing is that as soon as I unplug the computer from the dock, this behavior disappears!

  The laptop running on battery or external power gives me about this problem.

  I also tried to fix an external display directly on laptop or docking station, and I see no problem on external display.

  When you use external display with docking station, the internal screen is still having the problem, while at the same time the external display shows no problem, regardless of the configuration of extended screen or mirror.

  Computer running Windows 7 x 64 with Sp1.

  Alll drivers are updated through system update.

  An update, I used the updated system drivers, I tried today to download the NVidia driver, so I installed their Quadro Mobile 305.93 driver, and the problem seems to have disappeared!

  It's looking good, but I need more than 15 minutes of testing applications scrollng, videos full screen, etc, to make sure that the problem is solved.

  We are verry bad writing performance on our R520 with 2012 R2.

  For example, install a VM of R2 2012 will be faster on my home computer on this server. As we wanted using this server primarily to see that this is starting to be a real problem.

  All hard drives are in a matrix single raid 5. There are a score of 200 GB for the OS (C:\). and a score of 2, 6 TB of data and the virtual machine (D:\).

  Consider upgrading your controller RAID for a H710. The H310 is a low range controller and your bottleneck.

• Process to get Performance data for the managed entity c#

  Could someone please describe the process for pulling data from the API performance?  The documentation seems a bit muddled.

  Qustions:

  Should you create a custom interval perf or you can use the default settings?

  If I have a performanceManager MOR and a hostSystem MOR what methods should I call on the PerformanceManger object to retrieve the performance counters on the managed entity? I'm trying to get ready time % of a host.  Looks like I need to use the QueryAvailablePerfMetric method to draw the MetricID and then use the QueryPerf to shoot the actual static...

  Any help is appreciated.

  You can use available perfIntervals to extract data.

  You have reason to extract performance data, you must first call QueryAvailablePerfMetric to get metricIds and then pass them in the appeal of QueryPerf.

  Also to check whether or not real-time data are available on the entity you must first call QueryPerfProviderSummary on entity and check the PerfProviderSummary currentSupported property. If she defined as true, real-time data are available and you can pass PerfProviderSummary refreshRate as intervalID in your QueryAvailablePerfMetric call and still pass this refreshRate as intervalID PerfQuerySpec for QueryPerf appeal.
