Bad audio when the DVD player works

I have an Inspiron 1520.  For years, that everything worked well.  Now, I'm having a problem with my audio.  It works fine when I play music or movies from files on your computer.  But when I play something of my DVD (audio CD or DVD) drive, the sound is very crackley and stuttering.  It also occurs if the DVD player works (i.e. burn a disc) and I play a file (movie or music) from my computer.  There must be some sort of link between what is happening when my DVD drive is rotating & my speakers or other audio link.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try this. Go to http://winhlp.com/node/10 they have a small script program to restore the DMA mode. Click on the link in their 1st step. (Note: for best results, use Internet Explorer when you run the script vbs to step 1). Read the instructions in steps 2 through 5, and then run the program. He made changes to your Windows registry database to try to give (s) the use of the DMA mode. If you want to know exactly what the program does, scroll to "Reactivate the DMA using the registry editor" for the full explanation.

No need to worry about the disk version. He would just install an update anyway once it has been installed. Download from the link provided below and use the serial number, you need to activate.

  • -DVD burn does not work in the DVD player sometimes

I have a Mac Pro from the beginning of 2008, and it came with a DVD drive (OPTIARC DVD RW AD - 7170A).  I was able to burn DVDs with using toast in the past.

But lately, the half of the DVD burn won't play in my DVD consumer player.  I get a "Disk error" message when I try to play them, and they do not load.  It's a strange problem, because some of them work and some do not.  I can't tell where the problem is.

Is there a way to test the DVD player?  Should I just replace it?

Many brands of blank DVDs gives very inconsistent results when burning. If you use a brand store or generic blanks, that may be the problem.

    Hello

You have a third-party software installed on your computer to burn?

If so, then uninstall the software and check if it makes a difference.

If the problem persists, then download and run the tool of diagnosis from the link below:

    Hello!

The CD/DVD drive is listed in Device Manager? You see an error code?
If the drive is listed in Device Manager, you should try to remove it, and then restart the laptop.

Try to load the default settings in the BIOS.

Have you tried to remove the upper and lower filters by yourself? Here is the solution from Microsoft:

  • Stuttering, beeps and the DVD Player lost on Satellite M40 149

    Hello

For some time now the laptop will work ok for about 1 to 2 hours, and then all of a sudden the speakers start making random pitch high bleeps distorted very strong. When it starts, the system starts stuttering. Every 2 seconds or so it will freeze for about 1/4 of a second. All treatments freezes - including the sounds and display. It's annoying, but generally a slight Jolt sorts it...

When this happens occasionally the DVD player will also disappear, and I need to reboot to get it back. Sometimes I need to leave it off for a short time so I think it's perhaps something to do with overheating?

In any case, my main problem now is that the DVD drive is very rarely now. I used a few tools of analysis of the firmware and the connection to the drive port is present but the laptop cannot connect to it. I thought that maybe s DVD firmware update can fix this, but I couldn't yet.

I couldn't find all the previous reports of the present. Anyone has any idea what this could be? Or how I can fix this?

If she came, I'd be happy to buy an external DVD drive, but the presence of the bad connection interferes with some other tasks, I have...

    Thank you
    David.

LOL :D I read on many Web sites that the iTunes software is in trouble and is not fully compatible with Microsoft.

  • Satellite M40X-126: disk blocks when the DVD-RAM has been inserted

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite M40X-126 with a super multi drive installed. I have a problem with writing to DVD-RAM. Sometimes, when I try to write data to a DVD-RAM disc, the DVD player makes a strange noise, as if the mechanic of material is blocked inside the car. The laptop will not write any data on him and he doesn't notch in this noise. And I can't open the drive, because it is blocked by the software. And windows is blocked as well, I can't do anything. The only thing I can do, is stopped the laptop by pressing the power on button a few seconds.

I do not think, it is a software problem. I have installed all the necessary drivers (UDF) is installed correctly. And DVD - RAM writing runs smoothly most of the time. But I have every 5 times I insert a DVD-RAM disc makes it drive this strange noise and everything is blocked.

My disc is damaged? Who has the same behavior?

    Thank you

    Reto

    Hi Reto

I have the same drive, but it works without problem. I know that DVD-RAM media are expensive, but all I can suggest is you buy another provider and check if it will happen again.

  • Satellite L455 - Burned DVD plays in slow motion in the dvd player

    Hello

    I have a Satellite L455.

I got burned a DVD with Nero 7 premium, but when I play in the dvd player, it works idle all the time. Other movies are played normally (so the problem is not the dvd player phillips), this only happens with the ones I burned in my new Toshiba laptop.

I have tried to burn all kinds of speed (x 8, 6 and 3), but the problem has not been resolved.

Can someone tell what should I do?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You tested this external DVD drive?
I recommend to check the options of Nero again and maybe, you should also use an other DVDs from different manufacturers.

My DVD player didn t play DVD's serious too, I changed the manufacturer of DVDs and then the DVD that can be read by a DVD player

  • He cannot write the TIF Images to the DVD player.

Original title: can not write on the DVD player.

I'm trying to save several TIF Images on my DVD burner, but it does not work.

When I go into my computer and look at the properties, it says there is 0 space used.

space free 0-0 ability to the new blank DVD disc.

It will play DVD movies.  Thanks for your help.

Windows XP does not write on DVD, you can use another software.
Your dvd player should also be a dvd burner, not just a cd burner.
You should have software installed with the dvd burner, you have nero or roxio, this will do it for you.

  • On Windows 7, by pressing the eject button on the DVD player sometimes causes the monitors to twinkle

My PC works fine for just about everything, except when I need to pop in a CD or DVD. It seems random, but when I hit the eject button on the DVD player, my screens sometimes twinkle. It happens about once every 5 times as the button eject. I'm running a dual monitor, with a monitor on a DVI input and the other on a HDMI input. Both monitors sparkle.

The only things I can think of that can cause the problem are of my diet or my graphics card. My PC has never stopped on me during other operations, including executing some more processor intensive tasks. This seems to be a problem with my graphics card, but why my graphics card would randomly hitting the eject button?

I found the solution to my problem of graphics. Wow, really?

So after the video driver updated, he set a maximum resolution on my HDMI output to 1600 x 900. That's if access you the resolution settings through the control panel > display > adjust resolution. Is not that how most people set the resolution?

The update of the driver has replaced the max resolution by default setting, but it can be given via Intel display control panel (no was not yet aware, I had such a control panel). This control panel option is available for the Intel graphics controller hardware. To set the resolution, right click on the desktop and select "graphics properties." Select 'Advanced Mode', and then configure the resolution 1920 x 1080. Once the parameter is committed through this control panel, the Windows 7 Control Panel settings to work as you would expect, and the monitor is the 1080 p display.

It is delayed. Pardon my French.

Well, at least now I'm back where I started, IE still has the problem with the eject button causing the dual display to flicker. It happened only twice since the update of the video driver, then perhaps that these events were flukes?
