I am really really tired of this same problem for years, I stay with firefox, because you are aware of privacy and are always more.   If you use extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) which can block content (e.g., Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that these extensions are not blocking content.

  Hello - Thanks for the reply.  Power the device power on and off has not fixed anything.  However, suspecting an internal firmware issue, I did a search on the web to see if there was a mechanism to reset.  I found a very useful website that describes three levels of resets, and the second level one (#6) fixed my problem.  I'm surprised HP doesn't have this information in its documentation or on its website.  I understand he has the potential to be used for the wrong purposes and perhaps make an irreparable problem, but it is clearly the solution to an inoperable Panel.  My printer was working fine before this problem and is now back to work again.

  The bridge creates and registers the UserID as Photoshop bridge preferences don't.  When Photoshop ID corrupt user preferences Photoshop may not start.   See if you can find your user id Bridge preferences folder and rename it.  Then try to start the bridge.  The bridge can create a new set of preferences for your username and start correctly.
