• Why can't I link an article from a button in indesign cc?

  Hello, I m kinda new in this indesign things, I know my way on the forums and I searched through in many ways, but I find an answer to my problem, which is the can´t: I m making a magazine with about 10 articles, I place a button and be able to link it to another page of article clean it s I m , but when I try to make a button to take me to another article he just doesn´t work, I tried the link url, link to the page, using navto: / / and it just doesn´t anything, it could be just a thing I m missing but by God I can´t find what it is, can someone please help me with this?

  The way I have a link to an article is navto://ArticleName# or navto://ArticleName#0. Both will take you to the first page of the article. navto://ArticleName#1 will take you to the second page of the article.

  ArticleName is the name of the article in your Folio Builder Panel and not the name of your Indesign document. I have followed the structure of directories for the import of items to keep the simple path. Folio > ArticleName > file_name_h.indd (and file_name_v.indd if you use double orientation).

  1. You must create a developer of folio multi application (for testing)
  2. You must specify an optional URL scheme in the DPS App Builder, preferably a URL opposite i.e. com.example.myapp
  3. You must have at least 2 published folios
  4. You must use the navto: / / and the structure should be something like navto://com.example.myapp/FolioName/ArticleName#4 the 4 hash would be the page number

  Is this correct?

  There are a few things I'm not clear

  1. Can I use a slash or do I have to use colons to separate my URL string
     example 1: navto://com.example.myapp/FolioName/ArticleName#4
     example 2: navto://com.example.myapp:FolioName:ArticleName #4
  2. It is case-sensitive
  3. Can names folio and article have spaces and if they don't how I deal with them, example:
     example 1: navto://com.example.myapp/Folio name/Article name #4
  4. In the Indesign Document I use the Panel 'Buttons and forms' of the 'Interactive' option
  5. Am I simply specifying a command "Go To URL" and place my navto: / / link in the box provided

  Phil, a couple of things. First of all, you jump into an advanced technique which is difficult for a beginner. Second, this isn't a workflow-supported, but we work for quite a long time. Thirdly, try to create an article with a link to an article of DPS tips so that you can experiment with the syntax.

  1. slash. See the example on page 2, step 2 of article advice from DPS. And note the "v1" after the URL schema. You are missing in your examples. And there is no ' navto: ' prefix in order to link the cross-folio.

  2. Yes, it is case sensitive. Use the names of the folio and article as they appear in the Folio Builder Panel and replace the appropriate HTML code such as % 20 for a space spaces or special characters.

  3. Yes, use %20 to a space. Yet once, refer to the example of advice of DPS.

  4. Yes, buttons and form of Panel.

  5. No, there is no navto: prefix. Again, see page 2, step 2 of the DPS > Advanced overlays > advanced linking article.

  Linux Mint 17. Installed Firefox just to the repository. I have links to send news from various sources. I put in the address and the note in the box and when I click on send, nothing happens.   Yes, you can send a link to a file of domain controller.

  Open the PDF in Acrobat

  Click on the share on the set of the bottom link

  The pop-up tap on the public share of links

  Are what "license keys" you referring?

  The Oracle database does not license keys. The version you download from OTN is fully functional, simply make sure that your current license that your actual use.

  I have a user who is using Contribute to edit their site. No matter what I tried, the link "start to change my Web page" shows the wrong link. I couldn't find WHERE it change it either. On the Web server, I found a xml file in the _mm folder, which showed that the bad link, so I edited this file and re-created the connection manually, but the result is always the same.

• Clicked a bad link from my hotmail account

  I received an email from someone I know which contained a link to a site on sites.google.com and I clicked it.  I've seen ads about viagra etc on this link and then I talked to the sender.  She told me that his PC was infected and his e-mail account had been hacked, so the email has not been sent by him.

  I immediately changed my password to my hotmail account and scanned my PC (with F-Prot) that returns nothing.  Is this enough?  I remember reading on the news about a lady by clicking on a link in his email and later on his pirate in bank account.  I use my PC for online banking and sensitive information on my hotmail account, so I just wanted to be sure.  Thank you very much!

• Link to the page from inside an HTML overlay element

  We develop a tool of sale using DPS and I would use an HTML overlay to help the user determine the right product for them.

  Starting in the folio, the user clicks a button to launch a file HTML. At the end of a series of questions, the HTML file is a recommendation of this product is good for them.

  We try to use a "Navto" link, and then take the user out of the HTML and into a particular page from the folio.

  Everything works fine, until they were typing on this final link. The user gets an error message "this page cannot be opened because of an error. The error is "the URL can't be shown' (101).

  We were told that it was possible. Any ideas what could be wrong?

  If you are jumping from an article HTML in an article in InDesign "See the Article of News" should work.

  Make sure that you are spelling the name of the article exactly as it appears in the generator of folio; capitals and everything.

• I linked one chose "remove from toolbar" on the new "drive mode" icon and it removed my entire address bar and I can not find the place where to pick up

  With the latest update of firefox (38.0.5) I take away the new features that I would never use the button 'save for later '. Then the notification popped up in the navigation bar for the new feature 'in player mode', which is another thing that I'll never use. I right click it and chose "remove from toolbar". This action removed my address bar. My navigation bar is still there, but the address bar to enter a URL has disappeared. It's just my research and my download bar and buttons of AdBlock. Usually, I have my bar address/URL/navigation to the left of the search bar with the navigation arrows. When I go to customize I can't find the address bar. I have a particular look, I prefer and would not have to go through the restoration of values by default if I have to. Maybe I'm just missing something stupid obvious and I just need someone to point out. Thank you!

  Google has made a change that makes the object, you must enable cookies and make sure they are not blocked

   Sometime last night, Google updated its search results page. We are seeing some reports that search results when clicked take you to a blank interstitial page rather than the final result.
  

  The issue is that if you don't have cookies enabled or working (blocked by extensions/privacy settings), the links don't work. The only workaround is to enable cookies, use a different search engine or use Chrome (which somehow works even with cookies disabled).
  

  The bug is bug 725634. I'm posting here to let you all know that we're working with Google on this and it should hopefully be resolved shortly.

  Google expect to have this problem in a few hours.

• bad link of sub vi

  I'm using labview 11 and recently updated with service pack 1, some of the sub vi I get the error message bad coupling at the void / vi, although it seems no one evil thing. I could see the sub vi in the Project Explorer.

  Open the highest level VI. Go to the error under vi. It will be probably gray. Right-click and select link again.
