Bad Service 3 months Satellite U400-157

This is my problem with the Toshiba laptop travel:

I bought in feb09 and held to my work to like once a week and then after 10 days what exactly I begin to install the system and use it.
I discovered that the USB is not read my external hard drive that I bought as day of the laptop.

I went to the shop where I bought it and they told me to leave and they send it to the service center.

3 weeks later they said sorry, you have to pay money for the service because it is not under warranty more due to physical damage.

I said there is no damage. The USB port does not work there is not zero even unique to my laptop.

Sorry Mr usb is broken inside.

How the hell can a user interrupt port on the inside? Please you can complain to toshiba headquarters if you don't like what we say, you must submit your complaint in exactly 7 days from the date of purchase.

To be honest, I had never had any problem with my Toshiba service partner.
I contacted my point of service twice because I had new adapter order because that one died.
The part was replaced under warranty.
Last time my keyboard has been replaced because some keys na? work t and the guys are really useful. The keyboard has been replaced very quickly and without major problems.

    Hmm I doubt that this problem could be linked to the U400
    I use the U400 too and I ve plugged on the external LCD Samsung monitor via HDMI port and the display does not Flash.

    To be honest, I put t think the BIOS update would be the reason for which go into the BIOS (press F2) and set the default BIOS settings (F9) and save the changes (F10).

    The thing is: it starts when I have a CD in the DVD drive, but as soon as I put a DVD in (what is needed), it gives me an errormessage that said something like 'another application is using this drive or no disc recording where found in the laptop. 0D00E4-F0-00000000 error code).

    My DVD player does not work properly, I can play movies and the drivers and the status is ok too.
    I noticed, that error code changes, but I don't know how to get the recovery disk creator will.

    What can I do? Change something in the registry?
    I don't know what happened on my laptop, I bought a few months ago - new. I guess that, reset everything would bring my softkeys, lighting and hibernation status back.

    Did you create virtual CD/DVD drives with special software? If so, remove the software completely.     Just a question: have you you uncompress the package correctly before you run the exe file?

    Satellite U400 - 10l belongs to the series of PSU40E and it supports the audio chip Conexant CX20561
    You need the Conexant audio driver in order to get the proper functioning!

    Please note that the Win XP drivers placed on the Toshiba page are released for Win 32 bit OS! Usually, they don t work with 64 bit XP!
    If you need Win XP 64 bit Conexant sound driver you need to search n 3 third-party pages for this driver.

    In addition, you must install Win XP service packs newer!
    SP3 includes many fixes that are necessary and important.
    SP3 must be installed before installing the audio driver.
