• How to use a drop down menu to post a link internal

  I use Acrobat Pro DC. I want to use a drop down menu to post an internal link in my PDF document. I think its possible, and the solution is probably with JavaScript. I am very new to JS. I have the drop down created through forms, but nothing I have add in the preferences in JS is the case. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Ok. So first check the box that says 'Immediately validate the selected value' under the drop down properties, tab Options, and enter this code as its custom validation script:

  If (event.value == "A") this.pageNum = 1; Go to page 2

  If (event.value == "B") this.pageNum = 4; Go to page 5, etc.

  Adjust the values and page numbers, as required.

• Banner linking to the map

  Is there a rule somewhere that says banners will always fill the width of the screen?

  Here's what happens:

  I have a 12-column page layout. I want a 6 x 2 card to pull a banner that will link to a Web site. I designed an ad at a ratio of 6:2 and transferred like my banner image. I have created a to 6 x 2 (enlarged image) and card mapped to take my banner and map 6 x 2. For a crazy reason it's cropping the banner to 2 lines high, but it spans the entire width (column 12). I can come in and change the map for all the different widths and it doesn't change my layout of the collection. Looks like a bug to me, but I can't do anything to fix it. Have you tried logging out of preflight and the portal. Help!

  Figured it out. Duh... I had a previous banner on the same priority. Thank you!! Who took me too long to figure out!

  I created a pdf document with internal links to different parts of the document. However, when I published in Acrobat.com to share, links are more operational. Is there a way to keep the operational links being seen online? (Once download you them they are usable again)

  I'm sorry, but the links are not rendered in the preview of the files that you see on Acrobat.com. The links are not removed from the file (as you have discovered), they just are not included in the preview.

• The Flash (AS 2) banner link does not work if I download the SWF on my web and you try to add to my Web site.

  It works when I published the swf and html and view it in the browser. Initially the link wasn't working when I published in to HTML and swf, but then I changed the safety of local playback to access network only. If I upload it to my web server via Filezilla then animation of the banners works, but if clicked, goes nowhere more. Any suggestions?

• Hyperlinks - different settings for internal and external links?

  I was wondering if it is possible to change the "Open link in a new window or tab" for individual links?

  I'm linking to some sites of clients, and for all this, I want the links to open in a new window/tab so that my site remains active behind.

  I then several links that are in the anchorages and pages within my site - for the latter, I want they will open in the same window, so the user can use the back buttons and not end up with a ton of windows/tabs open at the same time.

  If external link - internal - and open in a new window, same window.  Is this possible?

  Hi Ryan,

  You can change the option "Open link in a new window or tab" for individual links.

  You must select the links individually, and then make the changes.

• Internal link to button in CF

  Hi all

  At first, I must say that I am a beginner in flash.

  A few hours ago, I made a menu for a Web site to flashcatalyst and the problem is that I can't connect buttons with all the internal links to my Web page. I've seen the option in "doing the transitions" called "Go to url" bit I suppose that it can be used for some external links. And that's the point - is it possible to use the buttons as internal links?

  If you're going to say, what I have to do a few implements in Flash Builder, please tell me exactly how it should look?

  Unfortunately, it is a known bound in Flash Catalyst now. Since we do not allow copying files external to the project, when you enter a link internal (relative URL), it fails when you run the Flash Catalyst project and works perfectly when you deploy the Flash Catalyst application and copy external files in the same folder.

  You can take a look at this bug and post your thoughts for future review - http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/TH-10576

  Arrive at the solution, you must make a small modification in FlashBuilder enter the good internal link:

  Step 1. Add an interaction "Go To URL" on the component required in Flash Catalyst to some temporary URL & save project

  Step 2. Import your FXP project file in Flash Builder

  Step 3. Open the MXML file & simply make a search text for the temporary URL that you entered previously and change it accordingly.

  Step 4. Save & publish the project - project-> Export Release Build menu

  Let us know if you measure/impossible to get this working.

  I have a server with APEX you can contact through the web, now I want to recover a file from another server that is in contact with the server of the APEX, but it is not accessible from the web.
  I tried several times to use the link internal I have the file, but nothing happens.
  
  So to make it more clear, my problem is the following:
  An APEX web server accessible trough and machines of othe protected access from the web than from IP´s internal
  At the TOP, I can create a region of the URL and browse the machine where that I want the user get a file

  If I create a link in a report of the APEX pointing to the above URL returns nothing.
  
  
  I already tried to use the direct link from another machine on the same internal network and it works very well.

• Internal resistance on 2800 backplane?

  I have a new switchblock 2800 OR 2811 A card that I connect via a Virginia Panel ITA.  Before using the switches for my project, I was testing the switches and I found a behavior that I wasn't expecting.  I have a 4072 digital multimeter connected to SwitchBlockDev5 c16 and c17.  When I connect c16 and c17 through another line in the first attachment (c5 is the other line in this example) then I measure resistance of ~ 200 ohms (I expect something close to 0).  When I cross the lines from the bottom of the basket and connect the DMM leads it as in the second setting (where the lines are connected on SwitchBlockDev6 c18) then I measure Mohm resistance ~ 168 (I expect something close to 0 or 200 ohms), if I pass the DMM wires on the second configuration then I get - 4.45 Mohms under my measure.  Can someone explain what is happening and what the circuit looks like?  Is there some kind of framework, I can do in the software that will give me my desired values when I do these DMM measures?

  The 200 ohms you receive is probably because you are using the cable "SH96F - 96M - RES. There are two cables NI SwitchBlock, a 'normal' and a cable with resistance of 100 ohms additional linked internally to the cable by column [two whole columns = 200 Ohms]. This additional resistance of 100 ohms is used to prevent the current overloads. If you use the cable "SH96F - 96M - RES ' and you want to read 0 Ohms, you need to replace the cable with the cable"SH96F - 96M"'normal '.

  168 M Ohm resistance you measure is probably due to the missing safety lock Resistance on your test setup. If the resistance of safety lock is missing, connections between the relay in your support of 2800 cards will never connect.

• Do not seem to have the ability to view banner content items in the default Collection

  I can't get the banner content items to display in the form of options in the menu of the default Collection. I'm previewing the AEMM Preflight app on iOS. This is a feature that should work?

  The idea is to have elements of banner link on (think of a hosted FAQ page) which are presented in the default collection as a menu option. When tapped on the content item would charge at the forefront of the device. Currently it seems that I would need to create an Article for this purpose. He would have preferred to be linking to content that already exists if possible.

  I understand that the default collection is one that is downloaded to the users device to allow a better experience in offline mode. Could this be the limitation here?

  Am I missing something?

  Hi Tony, you can do this with banners, they do not appear in the app menu and only appear in the navigation pages. Creating an article would be a method. You may have this article load an iframe to the hosted FAQ so that you pull into existing content.

  HY everyone!

  I just know a bit of actionscript and Flash and made my first banner. I used the codes written in the "writing simple code actionscript" tutorial for my banner linking to an image:

  What you trying to do?

  If you want to click on the banner and go to the actual url then the code you have should work properly!

  If you click the button it will open a new window and show the image...

• Turn the GPS and MapPoint

  I have a new twist of Lenovo and attempted to link internal 2013 MapPoint with GPS, but MapPoint does not recognize that it is there. Is it possible to make MapPoint to work with it?

  Also, is there a specific standard or something I should look at before trying to get other software to run with the GSP of the twist function?

  I found the answer myself. I saw a comparative review in which appeared the GPS as one of the possible characteristics for reviewed products. The twist has been listed as 'NO' in the column GPS, so it has not one.

  I don't know why someone would create a pill (or Tablet part-time) integrated device without GPS, but that's a separate issue. I know that most of my clients will reject the twist because of it that followed and dynamic of the directions that are important in a large number of their applications.

• Label bewilderment after font change

  Below the error label bug mentioned previously (here).

  Description of bug:

  There is a bug of bewilderment label when you change the font (type / size) or change your default font, which can also occur when converting to a different version of LV on a different pc (with different environment settings). This bug lost labels horizontally, especially when the label is positioned at half way horizontally or even half vertically on either side of a node property or control / icon.

  It could be reasoned that the correct placement of the text after the font used is changed can be very hard to get the right to any programming environment.  At least one of the combinations: label on the right side of an element (property node, etc.), placed at halfway the portrait must be easy to position correctly well.  (horizontally at least)  Since this is where I put (intuitively) many of my labels for nodes of property that I would have this problem.  This bug has been present in BT at least several years.
