Bar of progress Preloader problems

If you have a second, go to http://www.madhouseent.net/

My progress bar gets to the 50% mark, then load it the site. This isn't the end of the world, but someone on a slow connection could give up because it looks like it is slowly that it really is.

The graphics loading bar is the right size.

Here is my code for the first image and the second image:

Well, it seems that the width of your loading bar is about 200 pixels. Not 100, which is what you're multiplying your % over here.

Try this instead.

var fullLoaderBarWidth = (what that is the actual width of your charger bar must be 100%).

(first image)
bytes_loaded = Math.round (this.getBytesLoaded ());
bytes_total = Math.round (this.getBytesTotal ());
getPercent = bytes_loaded/bytes_total;
this.loadBar._width = getPercent * fulLoaderBarWidth;
this.loadText = Math.round(getPercent*100) + '% ';
If (bytes_loaded, bytes_total)) {}
this.gotoAndPlay (3);
}

(the second image)
this.gotoAndPlay (1);

  • To the help of text and a bar of progress inside a ToolTip.

    Hello

    I try to get my ToolTip appears as: "percentage: progressBar," but don't know how to do. I did so that the progress bar appears with the help of some users on this forum, but do not know how to use the text with it. Here's what I have:
    import java.awt.Dimension;
    import java.awt.BorderLayout;

    import javax.swing.JButton;
    import javax.swing.JFrame;
    import javax.swing.JToolTip;
    import javax.swing.JProgressBar;

    public class ToolTip {

         private JFrame frame;

         private JButton button;

         private JToolTip testToolTip;

         private JProgressBar progressBar;

         public static void main(String[] var) {
              new ToolTip();
         }

         public ToolTip() {
              progressBar = new JProgressBar(0, 100);
              progressBar.setValue(5);
              progressBar.setStringPainted(true);

              testToolTip = new JToolTip() {
                   {
                        setLayout(new BorderLayout());
                        add(progressBar);
                   }

                   @Override
                   public Dimension getPreferredSize() {
                        return new Dimension(150, 20);
                   }
              };

              button = new JButton("herp") {

                   @Override
                   public JToolTip createToolTip() {
                        return testToolTip;
                   }

              };
              button.setToolTipText("A");

              frame = new JFrame("derp");
              frame.setSize(100, 100);
              frame.getContentPane().add(button);
              frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
              frame.setVisible(true);
         }

    }
    Re-reading this I'm not so sure my point will get everywhere, so roughly what I want is something that could implement a JLabel and JProgressBar inside the same ToolTip, label and the bar showing up to their respectful of progression.

    Hmm... not quite sure where you see the problem: what's the problem with adding a component that shows the text that you want to show him? Something like

            testToolTip = new JToolTip() {
                JLabel label = new JLabel();
                {
                    setLayout(new BorderLayout());
                    add(progressBar);
                    add(label, BorderLayout.NORTH);
                }

                /**
                 * @inherited

    */ @Override public void setTipText(String tipText) { label.setText(tipText); } @Override public Dimension getPreferredSize() { return getLayout().preferredLayoutSize(this); } };

    as indicated on the button, which shows the tooltiptext could add something with a fixed text as well, or you want to :-)

    See you soon

  • Preloader problem

    Hi all

    I'm having some trouble with my preloader; Here's the thing, it opens and works but my child WHAT SWF always finishing well before loading preloader is finished. I'm really confused someone can help?

    Here is my code:

    var loader = new Loader;

    loader_mc. AddChild (loader);

    Loader.x = 0;

    Loader.y = 0;

    loader_mc.x = 122;

    loader_mc.y = 34;

    loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, contentLoadF);

    loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, contentLoadedF);

    function contentLoadF (e) {}

    trace(e.bytesLoaded/e.bytesTotal * 100);

    };

    function contentLoadedF() {}

    trace ("Complete");

    };

    When I click a button it opens my SWF like this

    function buttonClick() {}

    Loader.Load (new URLRequest ("mySWF.swf"));

    }

    Thanks in advance for the HELP!

    Hi yuri,.

    you are only showing your swf loaded starts to play before your preload is complete.  expected: by default, sovereign wealth funds begin to play as soon as their Framework 1 assets are loaded, not when their possessions are loaded.  (they continue to load while they play).

    to remedy this, you must add a blank Keyframe in frame 1 of your loaded SWF and add a stop() in this first image so that the swf file does not start to play until the loading is complete.  When your preloader code indicates loading is complete, you can then use the following to start your loaded swf:

    MovieClip (loader.content) .play ();  where the is the charger that loads your swf file.

    (I know you don't want to do that, but, in this case, someone else with a similar problem detects your thread, I wanted to leave the correct answer.)

  • Preloader problem a Spark component (stuck for a few minutes)

    Hello world

    Before, I'm excited about the new FlashBuilder because of his support to rotationX. But I'm not happy with the default preloader. I think this http://pagcor.lbeldia.com website (I'll be happy to know your criticism on the design. I'm not good with that. hehe ) and the default preloader to the Spark component remains for several minutes (even if the progress bar is 100%) before playing the next clip. I also changed the theme component but still the same.

    I need your advice.

    Thank you in advance.

    Looks like it loads the unsigned RSL frame version. Do you have an export version? You have swz files in your bin-release folder?

    Can you access the project properties, build the path and watch the RSL settings? (Expand Flex SDK, framework.swc to watch the property URL of RSL)

    Unsigned RSL will always run slower because they are not cached by the flash player as signed those.

  • Another preloader problem

    all,

    I am also having a strange problem. I also use the tutorial from lynda.com. I am frustrated when it did not work, then recreated my movie step by step.

    rebuilt the file with all layers on frame 2. frame 1 is white, except for the code Dynamics/preloader text in the layer actions.

    everything tested fine.

    later, as I built it out film (for all frame 500), the preloader stopped working speedometer *.

    * I understand the problem of meter: under properties panel (with a selected clip), under the "export for actionscript" option ' export in frame 1' selected, disables the Visual meter in my preloader.

    Then I comment out the entire 1st frame coding (stop and preloader text) and the film plays very well and stops at the end.

    When I activate the "stop();" code, stops the playhead on frame 1 - then the game works.

    the problem comes when I delete the comment in the preloader text:

    • test mode: setting stops at 2 (only background shows, the playhead does not continue)

    the problem of the playhead staying in box 2 still exists. It makes me crazy!

    I'm on a mac OS x (snow leopard), mac pro dual/quad core, 8 GB ram

    any help would be greatly appreciated.

    the file can be downloaded here:

    http://www.roguedog.com/files/design/clients/d1r3.Fla.zip

    When the loading is complete, you are directing the playhead to the next section (2) and stop.  If you want use the playhead to move forward to the next section and play:

    Stop();

    Preloader

    loaderInfo.addEventListener (ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, updatePreloader);

    function updatePreloader(evtObj:ProgressEvent):void

    {

    container for the progress of the site (download)

    var p: Number = Math.floor((evtObj.bytesLoaded*100)/evtObj.bytesTotal);

    preloader_txt. Text = % + '% ';

    If (p == 100) {}

    Play();

    }

    }

  • Steering bar and progress

    Hi all

    I do a firmware via programming system exec.

    Currently, I could only update the bar with some time of my progress in a loop which is unable to have helped put an end to the process if exit out at the beginning of the system exec is not correct.

    Can someone give me a better idea to save time if the programming of the firmware does not work?

    Thank you in advance.

    Very simple solution:

    Use a method of communication (e.g. declaring) to notify your loop that the exec of the system is complete. Put the shipment notification just after the exec system VI, then inside of your loop, wait for notifications (with a low timeout) and if you receive the notifier, exit the loop.

    Most advanced solution:

    Your command-line programmer has an output that indicates the status of the programming? If it isn't... you could try to catch the output console during execution of the system exec (e.g. driving the console output to a file and read read-only file - as a tail under linux). I think that there are other ways to catch out of the console while it is running, but I don't remember not (perhaps with .NET?) - I don't know a search in the forums will give you details.

  • How to increase the height of the bar system progress?

    Hello

    I want just to increase the height of the progress bar for windows system and is not able to customize. It is having the ability to adjust the width and the height. For example, the height of the progress bar of system used in install labview is large compared to the control that is in the control labview palette.

    You cannot change the height of the horizontal blade in the system palette. You can use one of the modern palette that Mike has suggested, or you can use ActiveX ProgressBar or ProgressBar .NET if you run Windows. If you want to search for the latter, the forum as there are has examples.

  • Cannot create a new folder using the link on command bar (Win 7) over problem of saving files newly downloaded into the folder of choice

    Greetings! And thanks for your visit. I was not a happy camper since my toys have acted toward the top. And eating too much of my time, with too few results. Here we go:

    • I'm unable to create a new folder or get No response after clicking on "new folder" on the command bar in Windows 7 (Professional).

    Nothing happening... not even an error message.  I can enter the existing folders (where individual files) but as I'm trying to create a new folder to put them in, I write off. But that's not all. There is another mystery plaguing my system (and I suspect that these two are related).  I am naïve about how to remedy the situation:

    • I can not save files to my desktop (x) - favorite mainly files I just downloaded and am trying to save;

    I get an error message indicating "you don't have permission to save to this place... you want to save it to My Documents instead? (No, I wouldn't.)  I'm connected with my regular user profile (which has administrator privileges). Yes... I checked in the user accounts and verified. (I am the only user on the system, in case this has an impact on the problem. Not sure if I should create a "dummy" another user without administrator privileges, but just throw that out there.) This seems to be mainly when I am trying to save a downloaded file or the executable file.

    I can if not create and/or move files without problem; It's just not very welcoming for new downloads.

    Between these two issues, I'm not having fun with this all-in-One Dell Optiplex (new).  She is on a home network and the only thing I have
    reminder to do recently is to join the homegroup with one of the other Win 7 PC on the same network. Maybe this related to not having 'permission' to save in some places? Or create new folders? I'm the kind of feeling sad and rejected...

    Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. FYI: I try not to visit the registry on my own I do not have a Guide of techno-GPS with me. I sailed quite well on my own otherwise, provided that I the registry (or any what presses along the way.) Please think about this and do the right thing. I'll wait here with my turn signals on.
    Ciao

    Hello

    You have discovered a problem with Windows 7. To resolve this problem, I use a program called FileMenu Tools. You can download the portable freeware from here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-SOFTWARE/System/System-Enhancements/FileMenu-Tools-Portable.shtml .

    After having downloaded and installed the program, you will notice that, by default, each option is checked. I would be much more selective on this subject, otherwise your context menu will be a full page long! When the main window opens, you will see a list on the right side of all the elements that can be added to the context menu. Start weeding through the list and every one to take away, you don't need the United Nationsby checking the box.

    Once you have completed your selection (de-selections) make sure that you click the green check mark in the row of icons at the top of the left window of the interface to 'Apply' of your choice. The program can do much more, but that answers your specific question. I am told that the program has a good help file, so try here if you are interested.

    Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Kind regards

  • "Menu bar Spry" expanding box problem.

    Hello

    I wonder if anyone knows how to solve a 'expansion bar problem', associated with vertical menus bar spry.

    This problem occurs especially in Internet Explorer 10 and 11. All texts and images on the right of the menu spray are projected down to below the lower menu bar.

    The page is displayed in Firefox and Google Chrome 100%-125%, but the same thing would happen if I Zoom in more than 125%.

    The only potential incompatibility problem by Dreamweaver is the "expand the bar problem.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Ben,

    Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

    It seems that the problem had nothing to do with a "expanding box problem.

  • JPGencoder and Preloader problem

    Hi guys, I have a swf that allows the user to take a snapshot of the scene, which works very well on its own.

    When I use an external preloader with it, I get the error:

    TypeError: Error #1009: cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

    to over / frame1)

    I have tried importing the JPGEncoder in the preloader, but still not the same error.

    This is the preloader code:

    [AS]

    import com.adobe.images.JPGEncoder;

    var B:Loader = new Loader();

    B.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, loop);

    B.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, done);

    B.Load (new URLRequest ("someurl.swf"));

    function loop(e:ProgressEvent):void

    wrap all of your code (except your duties and the import statement) in an initialization function and add:

    this.addEventListener (Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE, init);

    your code is difficult to read because it is not formatted, I'm not sure what all the code in a function, but your new code should look like:

    import com.adobe.images.JPGEncoder

    this.addEventListener (Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE, init);

    var: matrix

    function init(e:Event):void {}

    matrix of new matrix());

    Matrix.translate (stage.width, stage.height);

    snap_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, snapShot);

    }

    p.s. looks like you're nesting functions named.  You should unnest them.
