Base DPS Analytics

Someone met by information that explains how to read basic Analytics provided with Adobe DPS Professional?

We strive to get a grip on what really means these 'conditions '.

for example: 'Lance '.

"Shows the number of times the application has been started and used at least once after the installation"

lets say you have an application that was launched 10 times.

1 person it will start 10 times? or 10 people he launched once?

We read in the paper supplied with the dps, but definitions is extremely vague.

any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Also... any information on the use of the metric of the 'Standard' public understanding would be nice too.

  • DPS Analytics: Data to understand

    Hello

What is the difference between "Visits" and "Content views" by analyzing the DPS dashboard. On the same page, we saw 1,000 visits and 3000 views content. Please let us know. Thank you

    Hi Ediz,

We have a document describing all data that is measured by viewers: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/developer/dps/analytics-report/dps-analytics-report-gui.pdf

    This doc:

Content views: counts the number of times that customers consider each ad and an Article.

Visits: Shows the number of visits to the application of Digital Publishing in specified period.

DPS uses the definition of Adobe a visit Analytics, best described here: http://helpx.adobe.com/analytics/kb/comparing-unique-visitors-to-visits.html

    "

Visits: The number of sessions in a given period of time. A visit is defined as a sequence of consecutive page views 30 minutes continuously, or a continuous activity for 12 hours. More often, they consist of several applications of the image, but visitors who bounce may consist of a single page view.

  • By specifying a folio with Adobe DPS Analytics

I just uploaded my 2nd folio to my Viewer and my push notifications all work. I entered all the information (name of the Article, kicker, etc), but only my apps name appears in analytics DPS.

Is there anything I should do to enable analytics for all of the folios in a folio multi Viewer?

The 2nd folio is just a test, and there's only one page. This could be the reason?

    Thank you

    Nick.

It works now. I think it took about 20 minutes to register a new folio in DPS analytics.

  • DPS Analytics shows the type folio?

With DPS Analytics is anyway to say what type of folio has been downloaded, an iPhone or an iPad folio?

If not, is there another way to compare iPhone use DPS compared to use iPAD DPS?

You can create name problem reports and discover how many editions has downloaded on each type of device (iPad 1, iPad 3, iPhone, iPhone 4S 5, etc.).

  • DPS Analytics problem

DPS for Analytics System State shows everything works fine but when I connect to my dashboard for my application, I see a bunch of folios which do not belong to me, what is happening?

    Hi Automator,

I just want to close the loop on this issue. After a discussion on a separate thread, the client has confirmed that the problem has disappeared.

After the investigation, we have found that the problem why you saw data that does not belong to you yesterday, it's that the segment has been ignored by Site Catalyst for some reason any. Now is back to normal.

Thanks again for helping us investigate this problem,

  • : not specified: in DPS Analytics

    Hello

I still have to name articles in my folios, but I find myself always with: not specified: in the section Analytics of DPS. Not only that, but his principle, one that is the most read also.

No idea what can be the problem, and someone else has the same problem?

    Thank you!

    Eddie

Please go through this documentation which explains why, although given a report still name article as - unspecified - ics.html http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/kb/article-names-appear-unspecified-analyt

Important note if applicable: "data already submitted without title article meta data continue to show as : unspecified: orNo in the analytic function.

  • Metric of DPS Analytics & 'Spear '.

In regards to the metric "throws" under "Request for information" in the analytics component:

The Analytics white paper defines 'Lance' as follows:

"T e total of the number of times each application is initialized. Compares installs them Lance to determine actual use after the initial download. »

Goes without saying. Someone clicks the icon to launch, which is 1 launch of the app. Type it again, another launch, for a total of 2 launches.

However, I r recently seen analytical report app for which the number of launches app seemed to be much higher that expected, which made me wonder... is it possible that County updates from library to the total "throws", too?

For example, once in the library of the application, a user can click on an icon in the navigation bar at the bottom to access other content. They sail to the library, a 'Library' update is initialized. Jump folios of b/t also did the same thing. Any chance of a user can increase the total of "Lance" without ever leaving the app?

    Hi Josh,.

When an app is launched after installation or put in the foreground of background - it triggers a "spear". Library updates trigger not 'Lance '.

  • Analytics DPS - can you get distinct view stats for html online views vs ipad views?

    Hi all

New at DPS and statistical reports of the use of a customer and I wanted to know if you can separate the stats views of readers who saw the publictaion on an iPad vs thos who have read via HTML (on a computer laptop/desptop etc.).

    Thank you

Not with Analytics Basic by default, Yes, if you have an Omniture Site Catalyst account that is reporting progress. Information about Site Catalyst reporting http://download.macromedia.com/pub/developer/dps/analytics-report/dps-analytics-report-gui.pdf

  • This "view content" analytics specifically calls?

As I review our analytics for our application, I can't understand what "content views" refers to specifically? The number is quite a bit higher than the number of achievement.

  • Analytical interpretation DPS Pro

    Hello

When you look at the DPS analytical Pro with my reseller account DPS, you get the basic information such as:

    -downloaded Folio

    -cancellation of the folio

    etc.

    Shares so basically measurable.

But the second part of this has to do with content like:

    -ads that were read

    -What items have been read

    -How video have been read

-What overlay is the most popular, etc.

But I want to know, when viewing an article 'account' in analytics?

for example: if I want to get to article 5 and scroll from article 3 article 5 (so I do not use the table of contents), article 4 Gets a 'hit' in the analytical page? Is there a minimum look at a period (for example 5 seconds?) necessary before an article gets a number greater than viewing?

I get a few questions about it from customers and I think it's very important, especially when talk seen ads.

    Thank you!

Any view page generates a hit to Analytics. So, Yes, quickly flipping between pages 3, 4 and 5, to go to page 5 generates the same value analytical as navigation between pages 3, 4 and 5 reading completely all the content of these pages. The value, I think you are looking for is dwell (the amount of time an average user spends on a page) page. Which is currently available via the Site Catalyst, not the base level analytics. I have plans to improve the analytical base to add additional cards to linger, total time spent on the page, average time spent on the page and other important pieces of information. I don't have an ETA when these additional graphics will be available.

I am also looking to add a new measure of page County who don't shoot until a user spent anywhere from 3 to 5 seconds on a page vs just flipping to navigate to the next page.

  • Question re: Adobe Analytics - how does Adobe Analytics measure 'Active users' applications

    Hello

My question is about Adobe Digital analytical in consequence of the publication

    I would like to know

1 adobe shows 'active users '.

    2. where is this number?

    3. How do you define "active"? Is it related to the launch of the App or App first launched?

Hi, the Basic Analytics you get with DPS will not give you much information about users. The more you get the average time spent per player but it won't show you a metric that really defines an active user as such.

If we are talking about the full Adobe Analytics account, that is different that you get much more metric and also the ability to create your own segments of data (for example: you can use segmentation to identify the ID of the visitor who haven't seen content within a specified period and exclude these results for example)... more info on http://download.macromedia.com/pub/developer/dps/analytics-report/dps-analytics-report-gui.pdf
