You can start the search for the file by using the search folder, but you can also get the file by inspecting folders where you think the file is likely to be.

    Let me soce entry details:

    1. all computers need to have at least one administrator account. It will not work without it.
It does NOT, however, create a profile For YOU defaultAdmin. It belongs to the user or the owner to create and decide who is Admin, and who is a regular user.
    2. even an admin account will not get to install and change the settings automatically. UAC (user account control) always appears to ask for confirmation of the task by clicking on continue, or by typing the admin password.
3 be the main user is not to be an administrator. It is up to the user/owner of the computer to be configured as such.
That said, now my question... How do you know that you're not an admin?

  • Vista system does not see the files that are on a CD of HP, Intuit and others

CD allows you to install different products does not work on my Vista Ultimate system when the CD has been made by the manufacturer to support Windows and Mac OS.  These CD work in an XP system and a Windows 7 system. I have two optical drives on the Vista system (two allow DVD writing) and installation CD fail the same way in the two discs.

If I share a CD drive on the Windows 7 or XP System I and then place the CD in the drive, I can see all the files on the Vista system.  Another CD that do not also for Mac OS work well in all my systems. So far, a single CD of Intuit and two HP is failing.

I made several complete scans of my system searching for virus using two tools each of Norton and Microsoft and can't find anything.

When I said above fail, I wanted to say that Windows Explorer displays an incomplete list of files on the CD. To be more precise, the list displayed on the Windows vista system does not include autorun.inf or setup.exe. There are also listed things that should not be registered on a Windows install CD. VolumeIcon.icns and background for example. Basically, it seemed something to tell readers that they are on a Mac system.

Earlier today, I solved this problem. It seems that someone (probably me or my son) XPlay 3 was installed on the system. For some reason, this included a copy of MacDrive. I think that MacDrive caused the problem by making the part Apple Mac of the CD to be the only part that was visible to my system. I uninstalled XPlay 3 and everything works fine now.
