  • Satellite A100-998: mono/stereo mix not available under Vista

Windows Vista and the Microsoft default value "High definition Audio Device" driver (automatically selected and installed by Setup of Vista), no recording device is listed with the exception of the Microphone, Line In, CD Audio, as in this screenshot of the A100-998 in question:
    http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/1981/a100998jp6.PNG

No new Mix or record Waveout options of the device, which means that you can not, for example, doesn't record audio stream on the Internet. I tried the latest drivers from Realtek HD Audio for Vista (30/11/2006 R1.52). No change. Is there a way/driver to enable this as in other Windows Vista machines.

Is also the audio material in the A100-998 "Vista Premium Ready" with the specifications set out in the http://www.optimalsound.net/?

It's the third disappointment. The first two were that he has not delivered with the announced NVIDIA GF7400 (came to the square with 7300) and the second is that the hard drive is 4200 RPM (instead of the advertised 5400).
The third issue is the audio issue detailed above.

Here is a solution I found, but it is not free (costs $US28.20) and requires users to manually switch the "playback devices" each time that they execute it:
    http://www.NCH.com.au/SoundTap/index.html
Unlike other programs like Audacity which are based on the Waveout/Mono/Stereo Mix as their sound source (and so do not work in this case), NCH SoundTap installs its own virtual driver and is therefore able to record everything you hear through your speakers in Windows Vista without the need for Waveout/Mono/Stereo Mix. "All the sound elements are"typed"by a pilot virtual directly in the kernel, so the process is perfect digital quality."

However, it would be better that Vista Realtek/Toshiba/Microsoft "High definition Audio Device" driver is updated to include the Waveout/Mono/Stereo Mix (under "recording devices"), so that programs that rely on it are broken. SoundTap can do on Vista means that it is not a hardware limitation.

PS new Vista sound effects as Loudness equalization, Room Correction, Bass Management and Virtual Surround are already supported in the current drivers Vista (the driver from Realtek v1.52 and that by default by Microsoft) in Satellite A100-998.

  • Subwoofer stops working after upgrade to windows 7. __

After the upgrade to Windows 7 my subwoofer is no longer in effect. I tried to uninstall the driver and the re - install the latest drivers, but it does not work. Strange thing, it is that the sub will work in test phase of the program, but not in music playback. Any help would be appreciated.

Finally figured it for people with Realtech HD audio drivers! All you do is, right-click on the volume in the taskbar.  Click playback devices. Click the speakers properties. Access improvements. Activate bass management. That's all! Alternatively click on correction of the room and set the PB to have more control.

about 2.1 sound like sh... When activated from the sound card, there might be a frequency cut off the question. Let me get this straight:

-2.1 means that your lower frequencies are sent to the subwoofer, while that med/high are routed to the speakers

-the reduction of the frequency varies widely depending on the material used. Typical crossover produced around 60 Hz on big speakers, 100 Hz on medium-sized speakers, I heard go ca.150 Hz on systems "computer audio" low-end.

-Send the wrong signal to your speakers strongly degrade your sound by trying to play in a band, they did not intervene, and that there is a circuit of filtering of your audio system, frequencies will be just cut off.

To illustrate, you have a cutoff at 50 Hz frequency, and dispatcher of your chipset is a 100 Hz you send 20 to 100 Hz on your auxiliary, who will play only 20 to 50 Hz, and sending 100 Hz - 20 kHz to your speaker. ultimately you are losing 50 to 100 Hz. (numbers are there to illustrate and are random)

The key is that you need to send a normal 2.0 system to your amplifier (which may be integrated in the speakers of such and not a separate entity) and let the sup/speaker split, as it is configured to do so at the right frequency.

  • Windows 8 plays than stereo, no 5.1

I use realtek HD audio, already installed latest driver 2.70 for Windows 8 32-bit.

When I play music on Windows 8, only have stereo sound. My subwoofer and center speaker had no noise.
I even changed the cables physically. Left & right cable to the Center & subwoofer. After that the Center & subwoofer plays music but not my left & right speaker.
    Please help and thank you!

    Find my own solution:

Go to DD Realtek Audio Manager-> sound Manager
Make sure "Speaker Fill" is checked.
"Activate bass management" If you want less bass.
The problem is solved! Thanks for reading!
  • Why there is no bass boost option with realtek audio?

OK, so I've had this issue for months, but I couldn't find an answer. On my laptop, there is a variable bass boost option when I click with the right button on my headset in sound and go options for improvements. While on my desktop, which uses integrated realtek audio of the motherboard, there is no option of bass amplification. I find it weird because my laptop has a map its worse. I'm using the latest drivers, I installed the updated driver before you ask this question to see if it would solve the problem, which he did not. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

You can use the equalizer. In Options/improvements in WMP.

If Realtek has not to include such a feature in their driver software, then there is not much you can do other than to use the improvements of WMP. Writers also disabled driver other useful options when the re - write for W7!

  • Bass-Boost enhancement for Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 in Windows 7.

So I got a pair of these headphones when I had my old vista computer and I loved them. At the time, Windows Vista had in the audio improvements for this headset: Correction of the piece, the equalization, Loudness, thing that I don't remember and Bass Boost. With the emphasis of the serious all the way up to these things had incredible bass. Since then, I built a new PC and put Windows 7 on it. To my dismay the improvements in Audio for the LX-3000, instead of Bass Boost is "Protection low-frequency". I checked my other USB headset and each of them had an option of Bass Boost, up to 24 dB @ 50 Hz! Only the LX-3000 do not have the development of Bass Boost. My question is, is it possible to unlock the Bass Boost enhancement for these headphones in Windows 7? I have the latest drivers for the headphones.

  • Volume is too low and completely devoid of bass

I have a HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC (product number: E1P13AV) with Beats audio which has been updated to 10 Windows Windows 8.1, and my main problem is that the max volume on my laptop is severely lacking.  I can't say with certainty when this volume problem started, but I don't think it's that way when I bought it, nor when I first upgraded for Windows 10.

I have a smaller, "non-Beats" Elitebook who puts her more to just 50 percent in volume and this machine at 100% and my Samsung GS5 seems to put just as much sound (and better base) that this laptop currently does.

I saw a variety of message board posts associated with her messing around with the properties of speakers and activating / deactivating the Bass Boost, Virtual Sound and Loudness equalization, but none of these options seem to have no measurable effect.

When you search the computer "Beats", there is no results, and I can't see any reference in the Panel. Is it possible that the Beats got off or the volume is being strangled somewhere else in the system? The situation is unsatisfactory, and I'm very interested in getting this fixed. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

  • How's the bass?

    Hello!

I have a Toshiba Satellite and I was wondering how to adjust the bass?
    He can't find anywhere

    Hello

If your laptop computer has been equipped with Realtek sound card then a Realtek audio Manager must be installed on your laptop and could be found in the control panel.
The Realtek audio Manager supports and contains some options that might change her and eventually you could change the bass.

But in General, you can change the sound playback in players like Windows Media player, etc.

  • Satellite A110-293 - sound without a bass

    Hello

A I have a problem with Realtek High Definition Audio (SRS). The sound is metallic without bass and after install the drivers latest from Toshiba Web site in the Control Panel, it is not Realtek HD Audio Manager. I upgraded the BIOS to 5.10, then I reinstalled the system and the problem still exists. I'm using Vista Ultimate 32 bit.

On Windows XP sound is correct.

    Help me!

The laptop computer was originally shipped with Windows XP operating system preinstalled.
    Am I wrong?

The DD Realtek Audio Manager is only available in windows XP but not on windows Vista.

Have you tried the original page of Realtek driver?
    Check this box:
    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?langid=1&PNid=14&PFID=24&level= 4 & Conn = 3 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false

Remove all first you first installed the driver and get the Realtek page!
But to be honest I n don't know if it will help to improve the low quality.
Seems that this is a normal condition without installed HD Audio Manager

  • Satellite A-C55-1N1 - lack of bass, hail sound

Just got my new laptop Toshiba.

Anyone know if there is a fix for the problems of sound with this model.

It has been widely reported this model suffers from a lack of bass / sound intestine, but I have not yet found a solution.

I think DTS has something to do with it, but not 100% sure.
Could this be something to do with the driver?

    Hello

I guess that the laptop supports the Realtek HD audio chip.
In this case, you should find the * Realtek HD audio Manager * in Control Panel.

Within the audio HD _Realtek manager_, you can change some settings sound and could choose sound profiles that would amend also the sound properties and appearance.

I recommend you check this audio Manager!

  • Satellite L55-A5284 - audio has little or no bass

    Hello.

I recently bought a toshiba satellite L55-A5284, and audio has little or no bass.
Even when I plug headphones with decent bass, it seems to be non-existent when I try to play a video or music.

When I plug my headphones in another device for music as my phone, the bass can be heard clearly.

Someone knows how to solve this problem with this laptop?

This question may be already answered in another thread, but I can't imagine how long it would take to search for.

The forum provides useful search features (Forum of content search) and this should be used in order to avoid the double cross messages on the same theme

The forum contains a lot of threads and with many questions/topics have already been discussed.

The solution is very simple: in the control panel you will find the Realtek HD audio manager where you can change some settings.

Also preinstalled Studio DTS sound is a suite of improvement audio premium which uses the revolutionary audio technology to provide the most impressive and the most realistic listening experience ever offered for a two speaker playback environment.

  • Adjusting the sound of bass in Windows 7

I have a radio transmitter wireless connected to the output port of my computer.  The transmitter broadcasts to my wireless speakers that are scattered throughout the House.  They are pretty old, but works well.  I like listening to Internet radio (Pandora, etc.) with them.  However, on some songs, the bass is far too strong and deforms.  There is no adjustment of the bass on these speakers, nor on the transmitter.  I can adjust my speakers to the computer (not wireless) by physically turning the knobs, but of course those affect wireless speakers.  On my old XP I was able to raise bass and treble adjustments by right clicking the volume icon in my status bar when the volume is set.  However, I can't find the bass or the treble control here.  How can I turn down the bass on the line-out port so my speakers will have wireless less low volume goes to them?

    Thanks for your help!

  • Need to increase the bass during playback of multimedia files in Windows 7

Original title: no option as "bass boost" in Windows 7?

So, I have this new headset SteelSeries Siberia v2, they are great and all, but since I got it, I searched for a way to adjust the bass on this because it has none. I've seen tons of screenshots, videos and everything, you just right-click on the icon of the sound down on the right, find the icon for your headset, double-click on, go to the unavailability and there should be a "bass boost" option at the top, right? Well, I don't have that and so I wondered, y at - it another way to configure bass in windows 7?

It should be, but not as much as having a true bass booster.  By inceasing the balue to the bass frequencies and a drop in those of the mid and on it you should get better response in the bass.

Unless the software that came with your sound device has a low specific/equal control, you are snookered in by using the equalizer. However, you can try the web, Google free bass boost or similar. I think I saw a software which pushed on bass, but can't for the life of me remember his name.
BTW, the software prolly will only be as a high attenuator that amplifies low frequencies, may be what you need.
    See you soon,.
