  Please don't tell me to buy speakers, mine are pretty strong, and I find it uncomfortable to plug the speakers.

  Please don't tell me to use a software that increase the volume of the file I want to watch VOD.

  AFAIK all sound level settings in Windows are synchronized and if you change the sound level in the properties of the speaker at the same level will appear in the Windows for the Volume Mobility Center and the maximum level is 100%. No more than that.

  As you already wrote the sound level can be increased in combination with Windows and some players.

  As the volume of the adjustment bars show grey, problem could be related to you its drivers.

  Click Start - Run, type & devmgmt.msc
  It will open the Device Manager window. Access the option "Sound, video & game controllers".
  If any brand is exclamatory yellow color, in this case you need to reinstall your correct audio drivers.
  After installing the audio drivers, reboot the system & check once.

  Check the control panel | Power options and try to disable the screen saver and see if that fixes the problem.  If not, try to address some of the other power options to keep things to turn off automatically if the computer is not in use (if it's just to play music with no user interactivity, and which is considered to be not used by power options).

  (2) execute, create a swsetup c:\ directory

  3) once all files are extracted DO NOT INSTALL

  (4) now Goto the Start Menu click on devices and printers, click the name that you called your machine this will mark will be a yellow triangle as the audio driver windows 7 already installed is a realtek ac 97, which does not.

  Go on the side of Support HP and look for drivers for Presario R3000 and download the driver for Audio "SP28552" but do not install it.
