Batch / drop Imaging into separate folders.

Hi guys,.

I'm after some advice with some batch processing images. I recently finished a catalogue with 700 + images and I would like to create an index for later use.

I would like to have an action that allows me to record a versatile image of dispatch by e-mail to clients, but also a thumbnail image for invoices of the photo. What I normally do by making two separate actions for both, but there is a problem with the categories of types of images.

In the catalog, the images are products and are thus related to a brand. I want to index the images in a folder-based brand and then use in folders separated for thumbnails and General.

So, essentially, the workflow would be something along the lines of

Create the new folder of brand / category

Open a picture

Resize general purpose

Save Image as... in brand > general use

Resize to miniature

Save Image as... in brand > miniatures

Close

Repeat for all the images in the category.

Create new folder for the new brand category

Open a picture

.... Etc etc.

Also, is there a way to select a resizing of an image by the term is longer / shorter in action / droplet? I know the Image Processor has this ability, but it seems strange, that there is not the capacity within an action.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, suggestions of work arounds etc etc...

Some of what you want to do could be done better using bridge, look at "Record to a hard drive" in the export Panel. It can process files much faster that you can in Photoshop.

'Files' do you mean symbols? You have files named exactly the same? The only different thing should be the file extension. For example, you need to ensure that your video files are named as follows:
    "Video01.mp4" "Video01.ogv".
    "Video02.mp4" "Video02.ogv".

    NOT

    "Video01mp4.mp4" "Video01ogv.ogv".
    "Video02mp4.mp4" "Video02ogv.ogv".

It was a mistake I made early on.

No problem if you can write a Javascript script. Second best, however, knows someone who can

Copy & paste the script below into a text editor; save it somewhere as "MakePuzzle.jsx". In the case of doubt: complete instructions on how, where and why can be found on the web of p - p.

Make sure that you have everything what you want Grid-ify - not necessary if your 'image' is an imported bitmap or a single piece of work. Select it, run the script. Enter the number of columns and rows you want to split in and run.

As Monika says, each separate object in your original will be duplicated for every room, so maybe things get a little slow with some complicated stuff.

LR seems always to import folder encompassing also as new subfolders contained in the location you choose in the importation of the Catalog dialog box.

    To reset the preferences:

If Photoshop is already open on your screen, close (Quit). Then press and hold Shift + Ctrl + Alt (Win) / command + shift + Option (Mac) on your keyboard and start Photoshop.

A dialog box appears asking if you want to delete the preferences file existing ("settings"). Click Yes in the dialog box. The existing preferences file will be discarded and a new one will be created.

  • Move emails into local folders only removes them from the Inbox folder

    Hello.

I use Thunderbird to check out and check all my mail for GMX.net. Since I want to only do this sporadically, I opted for the portable version (currently 31.4.0).) Download works very well and does move emails into local folders. However, when I checked the size of the Thunderbird folder, it seemed a bit heavy. Turns out that all mails were stored in two places - the Inbox folder of reception/mail (such as pop.gmx.net) AND in local folders (in separate files, reflecting the local folder names).

Is this a normal behavior, can I disable it and simply delete the Inbox file manually without break?

Here are the steps I followed:

    (1) create a local folder ('Hello')
    (2) ctrl + an Inbox in
    (3) right click, select move - local folders - 'Hello '.

A lot depends on how you configure your pop server
What to do with the deleted files and if keep you them on the server
and what you do on files properties

    And compact your folders

  • Convert image into intense Black

    Hello

I'd be willing to bet that the printer was referring to flat screens and not the halftone when he suggested 100K + 40 c. Two tones including C will mount a Cyan - the amount of distribution determined by the form d/max and the Cyan curve.

Because you are dealing with portraits and don't have no control over the choice of the lithographer or the chance to talk with him, 4/C b & w can be risky. Change in the volume of minor local ink on the press can give you all sorts of variations in dominant color according to the tonal balance of separate plates (channels).

Unless you can talk to the lithographer, for more security, you pay for half-tone b & w systematic reproduction. It seems safer, even if it is disappointing.

  • How can I insert image into the image in adobe first pro cc 2015

How can I insert image into the image in adobe first pro cc 2015. I want to put a fixed image on a video sequence as a pip.

1 import the photo into your project (CTL-I or just drag & drop in the project Panel)

2 dag photo imported on your timeline in a track located above the video you already have.

    3. click the clip of the photo in the timeline panel and then click on the control panel of the effect of the Source Panel tab.

    4. here you can resize, move, and even rotate the picture of the "query" fixed effect.  You can use the sliders or click on the area next to the word "Query" and use your mouse to do everything from the program Panel.

Good luck and have fun.  BTW: once you get it you like, you can even animate the PIP to fly in or any other movement, you can think of with keyframes.

  • The specific question about the placement of an image into text.

Hello, I had a question about the placement of an image into text.

I did the contours to create text to place the image inside. My text is 5 words and two lines inside the box.

When I do create contours he gives me 2 transparent route separate layers for the top and the bottom line.

How will I be able to do that in a single layer of compound to place image that expands to the two lines?

First of all, there are two ways of describing the type. The default value creates anchored objects. You want a separate object, so hold down the Option/Alt key when you create outlines. Drag the new contours to separate the text block.

It is useful to open the layers panel and view the contents of the layer. You have created a group which consists of two transparent traces. In the layers panel, expand the layer so you can see the structure. Shift-select the two transparent traces. (Make sure that the group is not selected.)

Then choose object > tracks > make a compound path. This makes the two transparent tracks into one. Then, you can place or paste into the single compound path.

  • Cannot drag and drop photos into Photoshop CS6

I'm having this problem since the last time that I formatted my computer and it's really annoying.

Basically, when I try to drag an image in photoshop, the sliders turns into a circle with a slash in there (not available).

I peut open files by right click and choose 'open with-> Adobe Photoshop CS6' and I peut also open with "file > open... '. "(ctrl + O)

I searched for a soltion to this and nothing worked.

That's what I've tried so far:

-Reset the preferences (ctrl + alt + shift)

    -Run with administrative rights

-During the run without administrative rights

-Make sure, I have the permissions for files

-Making sure the files are not set ReadOnly

-Change the scratch disk option (Preferences-> Performance)

None of these worked and I'm looking for another solution...

    Here are my PC specs:

    OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit SP1

Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. G31M-ES2L

Graphics card: 1024 MB GeForce GT 240 (nVidia)

This thread might be considered old... but I found the solution and I wanted to post it in case someone else has the same problem.

After you turn off the UAC (User Account Control), I was able to drag and drop photos into Photoshop.

  • How saving parts of an image as separate files?

I have a lot of scans (in TIFF format) that each contains several images. The images are against each other (no space between them). How to effectively save images in separate files in the same quality from the original (but with the big canvas as only the saved image size)? Can I select them, and then export the selection as a file in one shot?

This is great advice, especially the little file > Scripts > export layers to files.

But once you have made a choice, you can speed up the process of getting this selection into a new layer.

Go to the layer menu and down again. Move your mouse over the submenu, then choose layer by cutting. (Layer > new > layer Via Cut.)

This Cup (removes) the image in the selection, create a new layer and then glue the picture on the new layer.

Even better, once you familiarize yourself with what you do, you can use the command keyboard Cmd-Shift-J (Mac) or Ctrl-Shift-J (Windows) to work faster.

  • How to create a Contact with Adobe Photoshop CS5 plank on a disc with images in different folders

I had a disc with image files (mainly files have and psd) in different folders and subfolders, how can I create a Board contact, including all image files in different folders. (It seems to me that Adobe Bridge can only create a contact by clicking on the image directly files sheet, but not a record, including image files)

    THX!

Use the Contact Sheet II optional plugin located in downloads from Adobe:

    (1) search for a contact in PS CS5 help sheet

    (2) select the first result and read carefully all the optional package of the Photoshop plug-ins photo

    (3) follow the instructions to download the zip file and note the location where you download it.

    (4) follow the instructions to install the files.

I don't know how PS CS5 will deal with vector image files have or if you need to batch convert images raster first before using the Contact Sheet II.  Contact sheet II allows you to choose a folder and include all subfolders option, so you could create a folder of the plug Contact and copy all of your files in this folder that will become the subfolders of the main folder that you choose for your contact sheet.

  • Import an image into a signed pdf

This may seem like a strange request, but I have a large document in which the approvers are signing on sections of the document. There will be 2 signatures and then I need to add 2 images in the document. After that, there will be a final signature that locks the document for editing. Is there a way to do this? I've searched high and low and have not found anything on this subject. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Chad,

My suggestion is to add pictures as attachments. After the first two signatures are added, you can use the comments > comment & markup tools > attach a file as a comment menu item to add the photos. The downside is that the image does not appear unless you open it in a separate file.

If you need to the image to display the other option is to turn the image into a custom, stamp which can be applied until you lock the final document with digital signature. The drawback here is if the image is always different we must constantly create custom stamps, but the advantage is that the image is displayed.

Do not forget that the 'lock after signing Document"check box appears on the dialog box sign the Document If you sign the last unsigned signature field, and it is not selected by default and you will need to remember to check the box.

    I hope this helps.

  • LR synchronize the same images in different folders

I need to keep multiple copies of the same images in different folders (to follow the presentations to different agencies), but LR seems very erratic in the synchronization of the images that he considers already exist in the catalog - some duplicates appear, others do not, but it seems impossible to get all records to synchronize correctly. Is there a way to get around this?

Yes, I remember, David. Happy, is always working.

Assuming that the current workflow, I think that the answer will lie to determine which files are omitted. If file names don't match all files already in the catalog, I expect to arrive safely. But if the name a jpg corresponds to an existing file (ignoring the extensions) then there might be a conflict. A field's Edit > Preferences > Import where you can try JPEG process next to delayed raw files as separate files. But see if you can establish the model of which is imported and what is not.

A pure solution of Lightroom would be not not to keep all these files. If you would have the main image (a gross or a tif worked) and then create virtual copies for each of the uses that you want to track - right - click on a thumbnail and create a virtual copy. Each CV has a copy name, which I would say setting (metadata Panel) use, Getty, Alamy etc. When you need to send it to the Agency, get the VC and export to the size and the required format, send the exported file, but do not keep a copy of the actual file - the VC could suffice. I put is more for you think more.
