Problem of adjusting brightness manually

Hello

I recently bought the HP Pavilion 15-n205TX with win 8.1.

I have problem of my screen brightness adjustment. When I do it manually by pressing the f2 and f3 keys, there is no change in the brightness of the screen.

Even when I try to change the brightness settings, there is no change in brightness

Hi AG_8055,

Sorry for the delay in response. The problem is usually cause by the update did not finish correctly. As a hiccup in the information. Once you refresh the system she refreshes the system and ensures that the updates have been made.

Hope that helps to explain.

Thank you.

  • Problems with adjustment layer masks

I have serious problems with adjustment layer masks. I have converted a photo black and white usiing one adjustment layer and trying to return to colored eyes. My form tool is selected, the color black is my first plan and target my layer mask. Coloring on the contour of the eyes a brownish/sepia-like color is revealed instead of blue (the color of the eyes). When I on the skin a reddish colour. In this case on THREE platforms... PSE6 CS3 AND CS5.5.

I have reset my tools. Close the program. Uninstalled and reinstalled twice (PSE6 and CS3). And you have installed a trial version and reset preferences in CS5.5 (just to see if I could overcome my problem). I also reset the default preferences in CS5.5.

Recently, I uninstalled a trial version of PSE10 (a week ago give or take and I think that I have chosen to remove preferences... do not know well).

    Browser: Chrome

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, I figured that the surrounding grayish area would give the impression that the color of the skin is too orange/high heat, and without external tone, the eye color looks different.

Katherine, take a piece of paper, make a big hole like brush strokes and place it on the corrected image. This is not the colors are the same as on the image corrected, now? (Well, there should be a gray piece of paper to get exactly the same result)

It's an optical illusion, like this: http://capslove.wordpress.com/2009/11/20/optical-illusion/ where the eyes of the same color green or cyan according to its surrounding areas. Your mind compensates for the colors and the tricks you into believing that they are different in picture one / two, skin color lighter and less saturated than in your second picture image.

Knowing this, you can use another adjustment layer, to drive the color where you want (to the soft blue brighter, more saturated) or skin made down the color that appears too bright.

If the other members of the forum are not paid in graphic design and the influence of surrounding the optical tricks colors/classic, it doesn't surprise me that they are consistent with the description you give, especially if you do ask them 'the skin looks too orange.

This is why it is recommended to have a photo studio (or the room in what you use Photoshop) with gray walls, why Photoshop interface is neutral blue-grey and not bright pink, etc.

(If you work on a Pc, select a black theme without transparency for Vista/7, or on a mac, select the choice of interface of graphite, as it could also mislead you.)

Some use a grey full desktop picture.

    Thanks for the props, guys!

  • Cannot adjust brightness in Windows 10

My Macbook Pro is the model plus late 2015 with AMD R9 M370X.

I installed windows via bootcamp 10.

Now, all the drivers for bootcamp is up-to-date.

everything works well in the Capitan IE, while in Win10, I can not adjust brightness of the screen, but the adjustion of the keyboard backlight works. It is too bright for me to work for a long time.

  • End of 2011 Macbook with Windows 10 - adjustable brightness with the video card main?

I have recently installed Windows 10 on my MBP late 2011 (officially unsupported, I know). For the most part, everything works, but the screen brightness adjustment doesn't seem to work with the driver from main video card (ATI 6600 M) - change the cursor on the user interface or by button have an effect, it is always 100%.

If I change the Microsoft Basic display card driver in the menu devices (as suggested here in the forums), the cursor works, but the max brightness is about 50%, and I suspect the slow onboard gpu is active.

Is there a way to get working with the primary ATI active adjustable brightness?

Meanwhile, I found the solution: simply install the AMD Cataclyst driver that is included in the package Bootcamp 6.0 - and brightness control works as expected!

    Thank you!

in AS3 you can do this by using the 'brightness' of the class color property, as in:

    Import fl.motion.Color;

    var color = new Color();
    Color.Brightness = 0.5;

    myMC.transform.colorTransform = color;

(PS. the order is-1.0 and 1.0 negative to "compete", being "lighten" positve)

  • Cannot adjust brightness on Windows 10 Satellite L50-B-1LN

I have recently reinstalled Windows 10 and lost all the software supplied with the laptop Toshiba.

I reinstalled the graphics drivers AMD, the function key, the Toshiba Value added Package Toshiba desktop application (it only gave me the crib of the battery and the PC diagnostic tool), so I then manually found and installed the Toshiba system parameters and the utility HWsetup from Toshiba.

Straight after the 10th reinstalled Windows, keys Fn (volume, mode of flight etc.) worked when I pressed the Fn key, which was not what I wanted.

After you install the key Desktop App function each of the Fn keys worked without pressing the Fn key, in addition to the light high and low brightness, who did not work at all with or without the Fn key.

Not only they do not work with the keyboard, I can also adjust the brightness in any other way.

There is no brightness setting in power of control panel settings, and when I click on the battery icon in the taskbar (Windows 10), the brightness option is gray!

I don't know if the parameters of brightness already worked after reinstalled Windows 10, and if they did, I don't know at what time they stopped working.

I thought it might be when I installed the AMD driver, but I tried to uninstall it and it did not help. No more than put it back in place.

Why is that happening and how can I solve this problem?

    Hi Craig,.

Go to programs and features, uninstall the "Toshiba System Driver" package, and then reinstall the system found new Toshiba heredriver Package, this should solve the problem.

    Hope this helps,

  • PC laptop Pavilion 15: cannot adjust brightness on laptop

Hello everyone. I have a laptop HP (2.5 years - granted, it ages )

The thing with it is that I can adjust is no longer the brightness on the screen, which means that it's stuck on its maximum intensity all the time. Now that it's pretty hard on the battery, which is vital for me because of my studies.

I had the problem once before, which was resolved with an update of the site Web of AMD GPU driver. Unfortunately, this time an update did not turn. I tried to find the official firmware via HP Support Assistant and the HP Web site. I can't find anything on the Web site manually, and the automatic analysis is delivered with an error. HP Support Assistant claims that all drivers are fully updated (I know at least what the GPU driver).

I am running Windows 10, where the brightness worked previously, but randomly stopped working.

The number of my PC product is E2T51EA #UUW and my BIOS version is F.35 (11/11/2014)

I hope that someone of you can help out me!

    Thanks in advance.

    Cordially - V Mads.

Update - I actually found a solution to this problem.

After these forums for quite som time roaming, I found another post (among many others) with this problem. This particular post had a response with the following solution:

Try to shoot to the top of your Device Manager in the Start Menu.  Expand monitors , and then right-click on the Generic PnP monitor.  Then click on Activate.  Let me know how it goes.

After that, it worked immediately. Thanks anyway

    Have a great weekend!

  • Linux Mint - no adjusting brightness on Satellite L45-B4182SM

    Hello world

I recently bought a L45-B4182SM and I switched from Windows to Linux Mint 17 8.1. Everything seems to work properly. However, brightness (F3 and F3 keys) control do not work. I would like to know if anyone has faced this problem before, and if it is possible to fix it.

    Say hello to everyone.

    Hello

Under the windows keys F feature is controlled by special tool designed by Toshiba Toshiba utility feature key.
As far as I know Toshiba does not support Linux so these tools does not exist for Linux operating systems.

I m not Linux user, but I guess that there must be another (Linux option) option for the brightness adjustment.

  • Tecra A2 - view the FN keys to adjust brightness of the screen don't work

    Hello everyone,

I've just set up my old laptop TECRA A2 with a newer version of Windows XP (including SP3).
Everything works fine. The only problem is that I can't access my FN keys to increase or decrease the brightness of the screen.

I installed all the drivers and I recognized that the problem is a not good installed saver, although I downloaded the 'new' Power Saver for the TECRA A2.

After installation it still appears the message; "You have no access rights to access energy savings." Now, it's strange that I have logged in as administrator of the A2.

As I'm still struggeling with this problem I ask really help and support.
Everything else works fine and well, it's just this question that I am not able to adjust the brightness of the display.

Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

    Best regards

  • Problem when setting brightness of the screen in Windows 8.

    I use Windows 8 Pro.

    System Specs:
    * HCL ME laptop, series 1114
Description: I can't adjust the brightness of the screen, I tried to use the keyboard shortcuts provided as well as the power options in the Control Panel, but no effect. The cursor goes to 0, but the brightness of the screen remains the same.

The problem is with the INTEL HD graphics driver that you have downloaded from the site Web HCL. However on the installation he States, it is compatible with Win8 but in fact, it is not.

The same problem is faced with one of my friends on the same model HCL 1114.
I suggest you go ahead with the value by default WIndows and uninstall the Intel HD Graphics driver
Graphics driver and everything works perfectly.
Referring to Intel Driver download section they distribute the library to OEM (HCL) may be you

-Have you run update Lenovo systems?

-Next sugestion: have you installed stuff Hot Keys integration? (I think that's what his name).

-Next suggestion: some laptops are a bit touchy with what order you install drivers. Here is the link to a suggested example so that a clean install:

    support.Lenovo.com/en_US/Detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-77353#dev_drv_install

He served as a guideline in pretty good for me.

-Suggestion: I don't know how the news the E535 is, but if all else fails, just hang in there and wait for an update of the driver.

That's all I have.  Good luck.
