Batch of files simply open in Notepad under Windows 7, how to make them?

I have a few batch files I want to run in Windows 7, but for some reason any when I try and run them by clicking on it. All that I see is the batch file opens in Notepad, which I don't want to happen. It should just run. Help, please.

You cannot run a batch file just by clicking on it - you never been able as far as I KNOW.

You must run via a command prompt.

  • Since the update files now open in a new window and pinned tabs open all in the folder.

Since the last update, now instead of simply to open a new page in the same tab when I click on a link, it opens a new tab. I also have a pinned favorite links folder, before I just click on it and scroll down to my link desired, since the update whenever I click on the folder, it just opens it in the folder. How can I fix it and God good, why cannot it be an option that stops updates to immediately change the previous settings like this done.

I scrolled the basic options and couldn't find any way to address these changes, there are now very few options for tabs and pins.

Yes problem seems to have resolved this self, probably a problem of update or something.

First of all, it happened when I hit Ctrl + N to open a new window, but I did not hit the "N" itself. I pressed one of the other keys around the "N" and this issue has started.

  • Windows 7 laptop - files are open in a new window despite "open in the same window" is selected under "Tools" folder options

This seems to have started randomly out of the blue and it's quite annoying. When you work with folders, I end up having a bunch of files that need to be closed and I usually don't want to close all; I usually have to sort numeorus files open to find what I'm looking for, as opposed to easily using the back button to return to a folder I want. I have not downloaded programs. The only thing I can think is deleting browser explore because I never use it (it is incredibly slow and slows down my computer laptop while each opening by mistake) and i ' LD fashioned just get rid of it.

How I deleted the browser explore:

-I went to control panel, then programs, then display the updates installed and then uninstalled IE from here

I looked everywhere on the internet, but I can't talk about what most of these solutions. Some people are proposing the deletion of the registry files. I know that these files are really important and I don't want to delete anything and cause a big problem for me.

Some of the solutions use language I don't understand; they give you a solution and a lot of people claim that it works, but how run the solution is not explained; If this is not enough. I assume that the solutions are designed for people who are good with computers, but I'm not, so if you are answering this, explain your solution in words that even a baby would be able to follow the instructions. Please do not automatically assume that I know where something is and leave out of your explanation, because chances are, I'm not.

Problem solved: I reinstalled the browser explore the microsoft Web site. I guess they really want users to have the browser on their computer, to be used or not: s

  • If I click on a .pdf on a site or mail link, open files, download pdf.part endless empty windows. How can I stop this action?

It does not matter what or where the .pdf's, is not the result of a particular Web site, it's rather a flaw in Firefox. He just started last week.

Hi Critifur, what a model PDF (FDF file)? PDF templates sometimes needs to load or reload a PDF file. In a past thread, it has been discovered to cause a 'loop' when your PDF Manager is set to "Preview in Firefox". However, this should not affect most of the PDF files. If you need to open a FDF, you must modify to use Adobe Reader (this would be the application outside of Firefox) for the most compatible parameter.

  • Is there a way to force a file to open in a maximized window?

The situation is, I work with a frustrating LMS which opens all training in an 800 x 600 window.

I have a background that is 1024 x 768, and so it opens this window with the scroll bars. No option to "optimize" the window or even to stretch it. The only thing that works is by going to view > full screen on the browser.

But it's all just too boring...

I can do nothing on my end to force it to open wider? JavaScript?

    LMS people very little cooperative...

    Help!

I agree it's very frustrating and SHOULD NOT be how works a LMS System.

While I often met a LMS that set the value default to opening a window to 800 x 600 or similar, they always had options, or make the window to a larger size, or even to give the user the ability to RESIZE the window to their height and width.  So, my feeling is that your uncooperative LMS people either do not know what their LMS is capable, or simply wrong course upward and are not useful on changing the settings.

If it turns out that indeed your LMS is limited in functionality it can deal ONLY with prices at this size, then you might try turning the scalable in the publication HTML parameter so that your course is scaled down so that the smaller size, but it could also cause other problems (e.g. some loss of clarity in the content) or any other relevant question scalable HTML.

If you generate still currently some courses for the LMS, and you have no other choice, then you can simply need to modify the project size be 800 x 600.

Hi, I use Windows 7 Ultimate x 64, and I was faced with this problem since I installed a program called Unlocker. I used it to kill a process that did not let me uninstall a program. Even though I uninstalled the program, the problem persists. No matter what I do in the Control Panel, I can't solve the problem.

    Does that help?

How do the difficulty of opening of new window every time in Windows 7 folders

If that does not do it, association of record in the registry settings must be checked upward.
