  HI -.

  I use variables of data within Photoshop CS5 (Win7) to reproduce a model with several different sources.  With this method, each output THAT PSD has a new title and 3 or 4 new images.  It works great except that, after all this, scripted magic that I manually rename the new batch of files.  The series of files that I am could start with "395.PSD" and continue for, say, 93 files - but Photoshop exits only beginning with '1' or '01.  It would be awesome if I could start with whatever number I need and just PSD start and increment by 1 until the end with a lot.

  Even more - even if I start with "39.PSD" - PShop will save out as ' 391,392,393,394,395,396,397,398,399, (here's the trouble) 3910, 3911, etc. ".

  So what I'm asking is - nobody knows how to say PShop to start numbering with any number I want AND that PShop continues in the order of this number correctly?

  I'm not sure that it is a function of Photoshop or possibly a script from Windows Explorer.  But I would like to get some suggestions from the experts.

  To run a command as Administrator file, you must click on it & select run as administrator.  Despite being connected with an Admin-level account, individual actions like yours needs as the run as Admin permission.  This is the way Windows works.

  

  You cannot add anything in a batch file to run as an administrator.

  You will see the system's responses to your batch file by adding a last line containing just the word break [test]

  "Wish only to send the file1.bat for users" - you must give them instructions to run as admin.  Since the instructions are necessary in all cases, then you might as well keep it simple by sending them a shortcut in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder and url of msn [shortcut].  In your email, you can tell them to use the first shortcut [Startup folder] to get to the good copy of place and then * the second [msn url] in there, giving approval to the Admin when / if * it is called for.

  Some target computers may have lower security settings [settings "UAC"] meaning permission Admin is not necessary, but since you do not know that in advance, you will have to warn that it may be necessary.

  If there are multiple users on each computer only one of them has to do this on each machine.  You must choose a user who is either an Admin user who knows the password for this computer.  If you ask each individual user to do this, then only the first will be something to see; others may follow your instructions, but they will see that it has already been done and he can stop then.

  It is difficult to tell many users on many different computers to do something.  Some will ignore your instructions & do nothing.  Some will try to comply, but will make mistakes.  Some will do what you want.  You won't know the results even if you ask them to email you back to let you know.

  You can select the setting expand to default or previous camera raw conversion.

  You can also clear the changes to your image in Camera raw, but this will erase your changes in ACR.

  In Bridge, right click on the thumbnail of the image and select develop settings >Cancel settings.

  I need to create a process of copying the file to a jpg file name using keywords in Bridge CS6.  Ideally I need the script to parse the file name and use the words (not symbols such as '_' or '-') as the keywords of the file.

  First of all, let me start by saying how awesome you are to be able to write scripts.

  I have about 250 files, each with two work plans.

  Is - it there anyway that I can export files have in JPEG format, but also export each work plan in its own jpeg.

  When I open one of the illustrator files, there are two boards of art. I can go File > Export > and choose "jpeg" and then check "use work plans" then click on export, I can achieve what I want. I would do this for all files have 250 with a script.

  You can accomplish your task with a few Actions - record export you using the file > export & appropriate settings, and then close the file.  Then, in the drop down from the Action palette menu there is a 'Batch' option, which produces a new dialogue window.  Select the source folder where all your files and the action will take place on each of the files.  But taking put emphasis on Illustrator will probably bumble, if you do not want to let stocks run & not touch the computer (at least for me on Windows 7)

• Batch replace files in After Effects

  I have a project that is a series of snapshots of time that has been edited in Final Cut Pro.  I used that I created (.cr2) original raw files to JPEG files editing.  I used to send the edit in After Effects (CS5) to do things that I can't do in FCP Automatic Duck and I want to replace the JPEG images with the color correction for raw files.  When I select multiple JPEG files in my project window, I can't replace one of the clips.  If I select a single jpeg, I can bring up the window replaced and I find myself with 2 options.  The first creates a sequence of images, which works for some of my shots (although I always put those in the composition, essentially a re-release of the song), but for many others, I do not use all of the images in the time or ignore some here and there.  I also mix the lengths of framework in several sequences, with the help of different lengths of 1s, 2s, 3S and 4s, etc., in order to have AE create a sequence of images from raw files does not work.  The other option is replaing each file one by one, but with thousands of images, it is not really an option.  I tried the script of the Immigration of aescripts.com but that is not what I need to do either.  I'm sure the solution is under my nose, but any help is greatly appreciated.

  You must run 2 research in the script.  The first to replace the file and the second to replace the file extension.  My problem was that I was replacing only the folder.  Once the script is done and you open the new AE project, it creates the files will be offline.  After that you relink the first file, AE does the rest, just like Dave suggested.  Aescripts.com Lloyd is very useful.

• Sort manually in LR 2.7 does not

  I am trying to sort alrge number of images in more than one folder and I have more than one os image elements that I need to sort manually first so that I can add tags etc. Sometimes I can do this by dragging the image then next time that LR doesn't let me drag an image. I don't see what I do to stop this. A folder may be OK, but in another, the order seems locked. Can someone advise?

  Write to you all today because I recently had a virus on my second computer that is running Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition and after removing Vista Anti Malware 2010, am unable to run .exe files. Initially, Avast Anti Virus caught the ave.exe file and removed from my system to the program had already himself installed and launched several times. I manually deleted some reg keys that it added to my registry and now I have an error after trying to launch any program file or .exe. I might be accidentally deleted a key "reg" I needed. • Installer claims bridge is running, but it isn't.

  Downloaded CS5 OK, unzipped the files, install blocked because he said bridge was running. But it's not.  Using W7 64-bit.

  It is possible that the bridge process runs in the background where you see this message.

  Try the following steps to troubleshoot the same:

  1. go to the Task Manager. (Right-click on the taskbar and click Task Manager)

  2. once the Task Manager is open, click on the "Processes" tab at the top.

  3. check the "show processes from all users". (It's at the bottom of the screen)

  4 scroll through the list of processes and look for "bridge.exe".

  5. Select the process of "bridge.exe" and click on "end process."

  Re install the software.
