  I read in this forum that some regular maintenance needs to be done.

• Question about graphics cards for Equium L40 - 10 X

  HI - new to this, but really cut so I hope someone can help me. !

  I bought an Equium L40 - 10 X in August and thought it was good for what I wanted, especially after seeking advice and addressing the 'expert' at my local pcworld.

  However, I think that the graphics card is good enough to support the games I got - Medal of honor Warchest, Hitman Triple Pack and Call of Duty 2. They all sem to recommend a graphics card than nVidia as a minimum requirement. The card in the laptop is an Intel (r) 945 Express Chipset Family (I think) and the OS is Vista Home Premium.

  I have problems include the loss of graphics and stutter during playback.

  Can I have a nVidia graphics card or is the that I've had enough but I just need to change some settings?

  Really don't have an idea, so help would be much appreciated!

  You are shown how the customer can purchase the wrong product. It may be your fault or due to bad Advisory Service. L40 books are pretty cheap with the average material. This laptop is good for everyday work (Office Automation, writing letters and surfing) but certainly not for the complex graphics applications and games.

  Sorry but there is not much to do. Only thing to do is to increase the RAM to the maximum, but forget the graphics card upgrade. Something like this is not possible.

  I want to upgrade the RAM in my Equium L40-10 X 1 GB at least 2 GB - I read that it is the higher, it can be upgraded to?

  I want to know what RAM there that I know what I am looking to buy!

  Upgrade of RAM max for this satellite is 2 GB.
  You can use 2 x 1 Go DDR2-667 (PA3512U-1M1G).

  Also check the page Web of Kingston. There you can also find compatible RAM for your laptop model.

  I've been reading for hours in order to change from Vista to XP, everyone gives the link to the support of the pilots in this site, but trying to find drivers for my Equium L40 PSL49E SATA, I do not see these drivers in the list, am I missing something? they are under a different name? can you help me please?

  The SATA drivers are placed on the European driver Toshiba page.
  You will find the PSL49E Equium and drivers SATA for Win XP.

  The drivers are placed in the Intel Storage Manager package, you will find in the AHCI HDD drivers folder!

• I need to replace the battery cmos for Compaq nc 6320

  The computer, I'm getting will not recognize the HD. I pulled the drive and it works showing the entire disk.

  I think that I think that the MBR is corrupted. I tried to us the professional XP CD but cannot go beyond the need for a password. I thought that I could remove the battery Cmos to break the lock that may be in the Cmos.

  Remove the AC, main battery and keyboard.

  Disconnect the cable from the battery.

  Hello. Usually, when I start the PC, I have to reset the time on the internet because the time is wrong and shows of the year in 2009. Then the Control Panel indicates that the CMOS works normally.

  This leads me to believe that the CMOS battery is dying. This has happened for several months.

  I would like to know the brand and model of the required replacement battery and what type of battery. I could replace it myself or have a repair technique to take care of it.

• Battery CMOS for X 51 [start 2012]

  The CMOS in my Alienware X 51 [Early 2012] battery seemed dead BIOS wouldn't hold the settings.  I searched and could not find the part # anywhere so I did a general search for Alienware CMOS batteries with appropriate voltage.  I found a supplier on eBay, but the connector has been slightly smaller.  So I've connected the wires and installed it.  The BIOS is always not does not retain the settings I have to [F12] and define the appropriate boot device even if I reset in the BIOS many times.

  If anyone knows where I can order the 'good' for the [Early 2012] 51 X CMOS battery, I would appreciate it.

• Desktop HP Pavilion p6-2190: replacing the battery cmos for p6-2190ea

  I get a Date & time together doesn't error on startup and have to press F1 to open a session, where I then have to reset the time manually.

  The solution seems to be that the battery needs to be replaced, but what type/size of the battery is equipped with this model?

  OK here is the deal, I have everything works pretty well except the sound. Its the map analog Inc. I have on this laptop and not the Realteck one.
