    Hello

First, do a power drain: unplug the laptop, remove the battery, then open it and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. Once done, replace the battery, then connect the charger, then turn the computer back on.

Visit the website of HP and updated the Bios for your device.

gauge the battery to the boot screen and battery on report menu conflicting Details about the level of the battery. The gauge from the battery to the Starter incorrectly displays the low battery level that prevent the start of the battery. This happens on macbook pro retina 13 inches

When I try to startup macbook pro retina in battery mode, it will fail to start showing low battery level and an indicator to recharge the battery. It does not start on battery. When I then connect via the power cable at startup (and check the battery level), monitor of battery in the menu bar indicates that the battery is charged to the top.

It gets really frustrating and remove my ability to use the macbook pro retina as a truly portable device...

  • Sansa Fuze battery: percentage indicated

Hi all - I've noticed recently that the percentage of battery remaining indicated on my Sansa rockets - I have a 2 and a 8 GB - differs the battery percentage remaining indicated through my computer when the device is plugged into the USB port on my PC.

    E. g.: verification of my view of "System Settings > Info" on the "rocket", I see 27% duration of remaining battery life.  I immediately connect the "rocket" in a USB port (my computer has two; either one).  The 'Properties' indicator for the rocket of remaining battery life is 63%.

It's constant and reproducible.  There is always a HUGE disparity between the percentage that appears on the "rocket" itself and the percentage indicated via USB/PC connection.  Note that the rockets still indicate a much lower figure.

No idea why this is happening?  Thank you very much in advance for any answer!

    Cyndi wrote:

I run them down.  As I said, I charge them when I see they are about 20%.  As JK98, mentioned in the "Fuze Battery Life and good practical battery" thread here: "the battery prefers a partial rather than complete discharge. Frequent full discharges should be avoided when possible. »

If you are let off at 20%, which is almost fully discharged. Circuit of the rocket will turn off right around that level to prevent permanent damage to the battery or the charging circuit. Let down this low once in a while is OK, but I wouldn't make a habit of it. Better to load when it comes down to 50% or more. These types of batteries prefer to be crowned often, rather than the older style batteries that worked when deep-cycled.

    Hello

    Try the following:

    • Remove the CMOS battery will define just all the bios to default settings including the date and time. Nothing to do with windows is affected
    • Try to remove the battery and Charger/AC adapter / power cord to your laptop, press on and press and hold power for 20 seconds to discharge any residual current inside the laptop. This erases your RAM and it's like a hard reset. Replace the battery and Charger/AC adapter cord/Power and turn on your laptop.
    • Check if it's something to do with your computer problem laptop power cord or source. Insufficient power can cause some of these issues as well. Take the battery and power on your laptop with the charger only.
    • Make sure that your portable power outlet and plug charger tip are correctly connected. If open air supply you can find on eBay laptop power jack. Fixing and welding of the power supply, however, requires professional skills.
    • It is also possible that the power supply in the laptop card has failed. The only way to diagnose, to bring to a service center.

  • Dv5 - 100%, but still in charge of battery level

    Hello!

My laptop is a Dv5-1125em. It shows a 100% battery level if it is fully charged but always keep on the led "charging". Notification Windows 7 keeps saying 100% available (plugged in,load).

I checked the battery with HP Support Assistant and the result was "Status: OK"

I'm not under any resource high consuming applications and even tried to keep for some time see if the light goes out.

When unplugged, block level decreases as usual and cool as usual after connecting. Problem is that it is always in charge even after level reaches 100%.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

Hi erico, thanks again for the reply.

As an indicator of charging battery not turn off even when laptop is not activated, I also feel that the battery has failed. Guess that there cannot be a firmware or software problem.

As battery rest at 98% constantly and laptop shuts off if suddenly, is it ok to work plugged in power until I could get a new battery.  As you can guess, the charger permanently try to charge the battery and shorten its life too?

    Any suggestions on this subject?

    Thank you very much..

Yes. He is allowed to work with connected until you replace the battery.

I suggest that using the laptop on battery in its State current would be a little risky for a workplace.

If I was using the laptop, have suddenly turns off when I was in the middle of creating an outlet or word document mind.

  • Can I display the battery level of the mouse on my desk at all times?

I have an apple mouse and I want to check the battery level of mouse frequently without open the system preferences application. Can I permanently display the level on my desk somewhere?

You may be able to view the status of the battery of a keyboard and a wireless Bluetooth mouse

from the inside (or bound by) Bluetooth icon that can be made to appear in the Finder

top right of the main window. The two items should be a little quicker to consult, through this path,

that to go into System Preferences > keyboard, mouse, etc.

Didn't see a third party application or widget that might show the remaining battery life

in the computer or external BT wireless an iDevice. There may be a.

A widget by name iStat Pro used to offer a way to see these items, but not in the last

version and the company that makes the excellent original, no longer exists as such.

    Good luck & happy computing!

  • 1950-battery level suddenly drops to 5%

    Hello

I have a 1950-902 Satellite. I was wondering if someone could help with the behavior following problem / unusual that began a month ago:

I have started using the laptop with the battery appears as complete in power management. After that 10 minutes of battery used, as soon as the battery level shows as being about 85%, the indication of battery level suddenly falls to 5%, and the hibernation. When I reload the battery, the charging process takes very little time (about 30 minutes).

This behavior is repeated everytime I use the battery now.

    What's not?

    Thank you.

    Hi Eleni,

It seems that some cells in your battery may have failed and consequently the battery can hold only a small portion of the normal load. I suggest that a new battery is needed.

    Kind regards
