  When you try to build a sample application stunts for debugging on the PlayBook, I have some errors in the output.

  I am running Windows 7 (64 bit) using the QNX Momentics IDE.

  I have bolded the output where I think the problem might be involved.  Is there a problem with the Makefile, or is it a directory I'm missing, or anything else?  I can't see why there is an error while compling.

  I have the same warnings qmake... is not found . But finally, after that I could successfully implement the objective of the Simulator, the sample application running, even with this qmake warnings.

  Hi Pie,

  as the late reply says that I think that there are not running SampleApp more, the last URL I had seems to be down (but it's random, they can stand in line at any moment and disappear the same way).

  Also important to note: in general, Oracle didn't patch their SampleApp. They provide a way to download the required files opatch if users want to patch their own local version, but the online are the correction of the release date (the last was May / June), they are not maintained and implemented to date...

• Construction of BBM SDK Beta 4 samples in eclipse?

  I'm currently building the sample applications included in the 4_03_10_2011 of BBM beta SDK using the BlackBerry plugin for eclipse 3.5. Java version: 1.6 update 20

  I am able to build these projects in the sample with the latest BlackBerry JDE (6.0.0) and run successfully with the Simulator provided in the download package. (but not on other simulators)

  However, when I build the projects platformdemo and platformdemo2 tictactoe in eclipse, they all behave unexpectedly on the Simulator provided gives the error "Eception exception: net.rim.vm.MissingNativeError".

  I think it has something to do with the option of additional Cap "package:com.rim.resources = 3.key" included in the jdp project file.

  Could someone please tell me what it does and how it can be duplicated in the eclipse environment?

  Also, other AIDS to this problem would be appreciated

  Must add net_rim_bb_qm_platform.jar as an external jar from a location that is outside the scope of eclipse workspace.

• Cannot run example of BBM (SDK) 1.1

  I installed BBM SDK 1.1 following the instuctions to RIM.  Everything seems to work very well.  I can add sim1, sim2 and vice versa and continue a conversation between them about bbm.  But when I try to install and run the example BBMSDKDemo to eclipse one of the simulators running, nothing happens.  The sample is never installed or run.  I use a sample of compiled 5.0 5.0 simulators.  Windows 7 64 bit with 32-bit versions appropriate etc. JRE/jdk java.

  How can I get a bbm app to install and run on simulators.

  So that the simulator that launches eclipse set up with your active BBM set upward, you must add settings in you sim1 or sim2 .bat file in the found in the debug command line-> Configurations Debug-> Simulator-> advanced and select the option custom values exist somewhere in the middle of this Panel. Use the .bat file left to run the simulator of the target.

  And YES, these are the steps I wanted to know.

• Cannot compile the sample applications with the native SDK BB10

  I downloaded the BB10 (10.0.4) native SDK and the sample application pack. However, some of the sample apps fail to compile (AudioControl and BelligerentBlocks, for example). The target isn't the playbook (Simulator).

  I get an error do the following:

  You can call BBM to view a map of BBM chat in your application.  This allows the user to send and receive messages with your application.

  Your application cannot capture and read BBM messages programmatically.

  I just installed OEID 3.1 and I am trying to execute the sample application provided by oracle with reference to the procedure described in the section "Creating a sample Application of data Ingested with ETL Integrator" in the guide getting started in OEID 3.1 documentation.

  I have ingested the sample data in short using the EID31_SamplePipeline.zip pipeline Integrator ETL server.

  Now, when I try to run the chart named Baseline.grf using the IDE of clover for ETL Integrator, it throws errors - following

  Note:

  I use the basic SSL communications.
  

  I even updated to 7002 port numbers (this is my SSL port for the server for short) in workspace.prm and I even changed my graphics for https rather than http.

  But I still get this error.

  I added VM arguments in JRE for trustStore and keystore and passwords corresponding paths.

  I added the same IntegratorETL.ini file too.

  I've also marked compatible SSL also true for components that have this property.

  
  

  Interestingly, I'm even able to load the wsdl from the browser file if I get the URL

  While the ETL Integrator Designer mentions the exact URL even when he gives with the exception of WSDL saying Wsdl not found.

  Hi Christophe,

  I have consulted several groups, and although it looks like initially a hostname resolution problem (it came a lot), support was offered that this is related to the fact that you try to run the sample application in SSL mode, while the Start Guide that documents this application indicates that it is running using the no - SSL only. In other words, when you install the software for the purposes of execution of a sample application (and not for production), you must explicitly uncheck the flag SSL. This is not recommended in production.

  So, I suggest to uninstall and reinstall in non-secure mode.

  Please see the requirements on the sample application here. The doc has a requirement of "without SSL:

  We just applied the fix 4.0.2.00.07 on our environment to TEST APEX4.0.
  Now, I can not run the sample application. "When I run the application, log in using either the administrator or the user of demo with the #lower_case_workspace_name #", the browser generates the following error message:

  Data should be created automatically on the installation of the application using the function to support objects .

  If I install the application of tree-sample on apex.oracle.com then 9 lines are created in EBA_DEMO_TREE_PROJECTS.

  Lack of data suggests that there was a problem during the installation. You can check this by clicking on the icon to support objects on the application home page, then install view summary in the taskbar on the right.

  Hi all, I have downloaded and installed the v1.0.0.5 BlackBerry Push Service SDK and tried to install it based on the Quick Start Guide. The first problem was that I couldn't start the Tomcat. After I double-clicked start.bat, I just a blank command window, open for 1-2 seconds and immediately close. I never had the same problem with another application using Tomcat, and can be resolved by using my own installation of Tomcat program. So I do the same thing, I use my own installation of Tomcat program. After that, I get the Tomcat service, but only service non-secure (http), not its secure (https) service. But I think that is not the problem, as long as I can still access it. Then I deploy the sample application (war file: debug-portal, sample-app and pushsdk) to my Tomcat and try to start it. I've got to start the Debug-Portal and pushsdk only, no-sample application. When I tried to start the sample application, I got this message: FAIL - the context path/sample-app Application could not be started, I searched this forum and have had almost similar problem. But those who wrote the display had the problem that all applications could not be started. And he found that it was caused by application_id. He forgot to put the id of the application during installation. I put my application_id (even if it's just false application id, 123456789012345). Can someone help me? How can I install and run the sample application? Thank for any help. PS.   I'm having a time difficult installation SDK push sample applications on a remote computer. I try a manual install of Tomcat. The machine runs on Linux Red Hat.

  It looks like a problem with the JDBC connector, but I do not know how to solve. Among the things that I've done are:

  • Generate the database manually.
  • Fill the PushSDK.properties with the database and JDBC information. Copy this file in each directory WEB-INF/classes of applications examples of
  • Copy the mysql connector jar file in the directory WEB-INF/lib of each application
  • Edit the file app.properties with the information from my BB (app id, base url PGG etc.). Copied in the directory WEB-INF/classes of applications. I did the same thing with suspension - context.xml and app - context.xml
  • Edit conf/server.xml of Tomcat to set the http and https ports and the UTF-8 encoding for the request URL query component. In fact, I have only port 8080 available in the machine and I have configured HTTPS to work.
  • A self-signed certificate and shows its location in the conf/server.xml file. Indicates its location in conf/server.xml
  • Edit bin/catalina.sh to set the JAVA_OPTS UTF-8 encoding

  The initial Tomcat page seem to be working in https://machine_ip:8080.

  But there are errors with the BB apps:

  • https://machine_ip:8080 / sample-push-initiator returns 404
  • https://machine_ip:8080 / pushsdk returns 404
  • https://machine_ip:8080 / debug-Portal opens the Debug Portal, but displays the following message:

  Internal Server Error: 
  
  Sorry, we are unable to properly process your request at this time. Please contact a system administrator to investigate the problem by examining the logs.

  Finally, I could solve this problem. MySQL was not allowing the JDBC connection. I have

  delete the line:

  skip-networking
  

  in MySQL configuration file (/ etc/my.cnf) and now the sample applications seem to work ok.

  I still cannot subscribe to the good customer, but that's another story...

• BBM SDK - how to get the simulators to communicate?

  Suffice it to say that I fight with my foray in BlackBerry development. Trying to get the SDK (platformdemo and tictactoe) apps work sample, I'm afraid I took a step back.

  You see, I originally had it in place so that two BlackBerry simulators could message each other using BBM surveys.

  Now, that no longer works, and I can just figure out why. Why BBM communication does not work?

  I am running:

  • BBM SDK Beta 4_03_10_2011
  • BlackBerry_Simulators_6.0.0.313_9800
  • MDS v3.5.3 (I checked that it works correctly, downloaded jars of policy of encryption strength unlimited etc..)
  • V1.6.0_25 Java JDK (v6 JRE)

  For anyone interested, I managed to solve my problem.

  I have no idea why, but previously, I could just add a new contact, put in his BBM pin code and they show up on my list of contacts in BBM, ready to engage me in conversation with them.

  This time, I had to take a screenshot of the Simulator 1QR code, save it on in Photoshop, and then use that image to invite 1 Simulator Simulator 2 .

  For some reason, this allowed contacts to see each other. I don't have a BlackBerry so I have no idea, but I can't really imagine that this is the way it is supposed to work since it requires users to be in the same physical location. However, it's the only way I could make it work and it turns out that the rest of my system (MDS) and so on, is correct.

• BBM SDK - dependency Checker - proxy package and app together

  Hey guys,.

  I'm looking to implement the auditor BBM SDK dependency as defined in http://us.blackberry.com/developers/blackberrymessenger/ . The main idea is to run a proxy application to verify that the user has BBM6 and basically have open your application. This works well for me in the simulators and debugging on a device, like I can deploy both projects at the same time.

  My question is, when I want to communicate that to App World in itself, how could I go on these two projects into one package so that users would just download an app to launch my application?

  To do this, you will need to do as Ebscer said and unzip all the cod in a single folder and zip, save them in a cod/zip file. Update the jad file to contain two cod that you can use the updateJad tool that is packed with the JDE.

• BBM SDK app - phone support?

  I'm a little confused about the new BBM SDK supported. Bold 9900 with OS 7.0 will support these apps for sure, as BBM 6.0 will be preloaded.

  But what about phones with OS6.0 and OS5.0? According to my understanding, BBM 6.0 could run on OS5.0 and OS6.0.

  How can I detect my application that BBM 6.0 is installed on the device?

  I tried running app BBM SDK torch with BBM 5.0 but got a "net_rim_bb_qm_platform module not found" exception, I built my application with JDE 6.0. Do I have to download this module with my application?

  Any thoughts or ideas would be very appreciated

  So after some brainstorming and beerdrinking, I came to the conclusion to do this:

  -I will release a version for OS7 only

  -OS5.0 and OS6.0 versions the same, except a single cheque - will remain if the phone has BBM6.0 installed, the user will receive a message that upgrade version is available as well as a link for download (from my own server).
