I am trying to create a line style dotted with very thin dashes. But indesign doesn't let me do. Check the attachment.

Create a contour style customized to the dotted line, you can select it from the drop-down list in your object style dialog box.

Hindi fonts not rendered in html pages
Hindi fonts not rendered in html pages are operating except the mangal font and original.
Is it a bug or a problem which I am not capable of tackling.
Browser Mozilla reveals an error in the console (font download has failed or the character encoding of the HTML document is not declared. The document will be made with text truncated in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from the US-ASCII range.

Get a new laptop Win7 for dual boot with Win8
So I bought a new laptop with Win7 installed in it and decided to take advantage of the offer low cost upgrade Win8 - just in case. I am unwilling to well to commit myself to Win8 yet but I'd like to tinker with it anyway, and so I tried to create a dual boot on another partition that has failed because of the disk being style GPT.
Now, after reading a bit, I have this: I would be able to delete existing partitions and reformat the MBR disk and then reinstall Win7 (since a recovery DVDs) in that new partition and then install Win8 after that on a second partition? Would this work (as to not to hurt the disk itself) and get my system dual-boot for both of them?
Windows 8 Pro license is an upgrade, so you are not able to even dual boot with it in any case. You can not install Windows 8 Pro upgrade on a blank partition.

Embedded SWF giving rise to strange behaviors of state change

In my application I am incorporating a swf application in one of my views with SWFLoader, this swf created in Flash and is not a Flex application. The application load and runs fine, but when I'm going to declare in the parent application (for example, application.currentState = "State1") I have the following error

If I load the swf States and external switch, then I have no problem. I spent hours in the debugger trying to track down what happens, and I can say that the commitState function will eventually call regenerateStyleCache on something that is not ready for it? Sometimes subject to a review at the matchStyleDeclarations is an Image or something else that i'm going to State. But even once, when I load the swf file, it never happens. I am at my wits end and I hope that a friendly stranger can give me an idea
OK, I discovered the problem.
The embedded swf I have loading contained some actionscript to the effect of

do things
}
They were change the prototype of table, and (understandably) muffled Flex on something (but curiously only when state changed :/))
After removing and rewriting functions, I can succesfully embed the swf file in my flex application

FM8 document subject to the TC RH7
I'm working on the initial conversion of existing documents in Word to FM8 import, then moving that document to RH7 later in Comm. Tech.
The initial import of the first document went relatively well. It's all in the document 1 *.fm at the moment, but I'm breaking in the headers (H1 - H4) on the road to RH7 subjects.
The problem is that many of the subjects fail to break in the title styles, as I indicated in the dialog box settings of Document FM. I spent more than a full day trying to get them all to produce separately instead of several in 1, but without success.
Most of them is H2 headers, but some are H3. There are many other H2 and H3 headings where the conversion generated correctly separate topics well so I don't think that there * just * something about the style or my settings.
I compared several of them in the FM source:
-check the same styles
-Comparing the before paragraphs and after
-Noting if they have in them, or the paragraph markers before or after.
I still find common ground.
Does anyone have ideas on this?
I had trouble with subjects not to break also.
When I looked at the HTML of the final output (right click on the help topic, choose View page source).
I found Robohelp was including some of my column 3 s in the list UL or OL tags.
This seems to prevent the page break.
It happened when I had nested lists, such as bullets with bullets of void.
My difficulty (and the difficulty for a lot of problems) was to uncheck convert it to HTML, AutoNumber list
on the first page of the parameters of Style of the Properties tab.
In other words, don't convert not all styles of HTML lists, do not click on the Select button. See if that helps.
I don't know if it's the same problem that you are experiencing, but it might help to trouble shoot by examining the underlying HTML code of the final help output.

Failed to remove unused Styles
The inDesign CS5.5. I can't select all the styles, but the option to remove and trash can icom dimmed out and not selectable. What Miss me?
I bet that you have the "Basic Paragraph Style" selected - and this isn't trashable. Deselect by clicking the control, and then try again.

Failed to insert a background image in a changeable ID style
I use Dreamweaver CS4. I can't insert a background image into an editable region in a Style ID
The message I get "this change should change the code which is locked by a model or a translator. The changes will be ignored.
Can someone tell me how to unlock the background image. I can display text without a problem.

Creation of page template with the specified base style
I have 4.3 Pages on my Mac mini OSX 10.8.5. I want to create a template for my documents with text in a particular font, but also with all the notes in the same font.
I searched, found and tried all sorts of ways to ensure that all notes are created in my chosen font, but my attempts have failed. Any help or advice wll be gratefully received and acted.

Pages ' 09 v4.3 will not allow a frame of reference custom before the creation of reference text. Set a reference to your specifications and then by creating two new character styles that proportionately adjust the exponent, and then the reference text non-exposant - could be saved in the model.
In the new document, you insert notes and then apply those styles at least on the first note, because with the following notes, you could copy and paste the first note of the selected character style. He said...

How can I recover the modules and their data from a failed HARD drive (the lost BONE areas, but data files are readable)?
The HARD drive that was my OS (Windows XP Pro SP3) failed and lost quite a few areas which are essential for the operating system running. Other data is still readable. A got another HARD drive and installed Windows XP SP2, Firefox and other programs. I was able to retrieve the bookmarks, security certificates, and other profile information using the information found in bandages.
None of them addressed how do to recover the modules or their data. Specifically, there are several large, elegant scripts that took months to develop and customize.
Articles related to migration and other do not work for me because they require the old copy of FF is functional, that is not because the OS on this HARD drive is damaged. Is it possible to recover these data, similar (or not) about how I could get the other profile info?
Have you copied the entire folder C:\Documents and Settings\username \Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\ on the old drive?
If this is not the case, can you?
If so, make a copy and save this folder just in case.
If so, you could replace this folder on the new facility by \Profiles\ [with your profiles inside] folder and the profiles.ini file [delete all other files / folders that may also be in the folder "Firefox"] -and then replace with the same folder named from the old failed drive. Note that you will lose what you already have with the new installation / profile!
Your profile folder contains all your personal data and customizations, including looking for plugins, themes, extensions and their data / customizations - but no plugins.
But if the user logon name is different on the new facility that the former, any extension that uses an absolute path to the file in its prefs will be problems. Easily rectified, by changing the path to the file in the file prefs, js - keep the brake line formatting intact. The extensions created after the era of Firefox 2.0 or 3.0, due to changes in the 'rules' for creating extensions usually are not a problem, but some real old extensions that need only "minor" since that time can still use absolute paths - even though I have not seen myself since Firefox Firefox 3.6 or 4.0.
View instead of 'Modules' I mentioned the 4 types of 'Modules' separately - Plugins are seen as 'Add-ons', but they are not installed in the profile [except those mislabelled as a "plugin", when they are installed via an XPI file], but rather in the operating system where Firefox 'find' through the registry.
Note: Migration articles can tell you do not re - use the prefs.js file, due to an issue that I feel is easily fixed with a little inspection and editing. I think you can manage that my perception is that you have a small shovel in your tool box, if you encounter a problem you are able to do a little digging and fixing problems with the paths to files - once you have been warned.
Overall, if you go Firefox 35 35 or even Firefox 34 to 35, I don't think you will run in all the problems that you can not handle [that I cross my fingers and "hope" that I'm not on what it is obvious].
With regard to the recovery of the 'data' for individual extensions - there are many ways that extension developers used to store their data and pref. The original way should save in prefs.js or their own file RDF in the profile folder. While Firefox has been developed more, developers started using their own files in the profile folder. And because Mozilla has started using sqlite database files in Firefox 3.0, Mozilla extended their own use of sqlite, as have extension developers.
Elegant uses the file stylish.sqlite to store 'styles', but something in the back of my mine tells me that 'the index' maybe not in this file with the data. But then again, I can be confusing myself a question I had with GreaseMonkey awhile back where I copied the gm_scripts folder in a new profile and with already installed GreaseMonkey but with no script. These GM scripts worked, but I could not see them or modify them - they do not appear in the user GM extension interface window in Firefox.

BT Yahoo mail will not switch to the new style when using Firefox
I had to do a re - install under the motherboard has failed. I use BT Yahoo email. On the home page, I get a link "switch to the new BT Yahoo! Mail". That is the link allows to set up the new style and I can then do what the home page and opening in the new style every time. In Firefox help happens nothing other than 'click' navigation and a brief glow and I am still on the old.

Yahoo seems to load with no style, but loads correctly in a private window. How can I fix this behavior? FF20.0.1
Since FF20, yahoo.com and yahoo mail come appearing as if she does not use any style page. The logon fails. However, when I use a new private window, all is well for this web site (even if no link didn't get marked as visited - as expected).
I would have maybe some preference switched or such? A search on the web these last shows no similar problems...
