    Help is appreciated! Thank you

    Hello

The first step is to uninstall all the software that you use with your DVD player.

Unplug the USB drive and then go to Start -> Run -> type appwiz.cpl -> Enter (OK). Then go to the bottom of the list of programs by removing all the programs that you use to write (Nero, InCD, Sonic, Roxio and DirectCD etc.). Restart the PC when finished. Connect your external Recorder again and see if it throws a BSOD again. If she does not then reinstall your software.

If your PC get a BSOD again then unplug the DVD burner and reboot the PC. Note If you have any other USB devices, you can connect them and turn them on before you do this procedure (in particular, printers, scanners, and cameras).

Then follow the instructions in this document to show hidden/ghost/phantom devices in Device Manager: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315539

Once you have completed the document and Device Manager opens, you will notice that the hidden/ghost/phantom devices are displayed in a color greyed out. Go to the bottom of the list of devices and click the '+' next to 'CD/DVD-ROM readers' to develop. Remove all the ghosts CD/DVD devices listed (only those that are greyed out!). To do this right click on the device and selectUninstall. In the confirmation screen, select OK.

Go to the bottom of the list of devices and click the '+' next to "De Bus USB controllers" to expand. Remove all devices listed ghosts (only those that are greyed out!). To do this right click on the device and select Uninstall. In the confirmation screen, selectOK.

Once done restart the PC and try again.

  • What does this error message "a problem has been encountered a problem of personalized treatment tools manifest file (C:\Windows\system32\MSCFGTLC.» (XML)"and what can I do about it?

For about a week now that I get a lot of 'freeze' and try to eliminate contradictory processes that cause my Vista Home Premium 32-bit w / SP1 system to "lock" onto me.

I tried but can't do a restore effective because none of my points of store go back enough to solve the problem.

So I try a "clean boot" as described in article http:// support.microsoft.com/kb/331796.

My system has installed significantly since turning off half of the services non-Microsoft configured to run at startup.

But every time I launch msconfig.exe I get this error message-"a problem when processing custom tools manifest file (C:\Windows\system32\MSCFGTLC. '"). XML ".

It is not stop fiddling with the boot configuration, but I don't think I should get this error. Any ideas on what it is and what to do about this?

  • 'Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close' this error message on start up of the computer.

Hello, I have tried to find others with a similar problem and so far have not found that everything about my specific situation. I found how ever that this problem was mainly caused by some type of problem with a variety of .dll files in the directory system32, and it seems that this problem has different effects depending on the cause of the problem .dll file.

My problem is caused by the file user32.dll (or so it seems). When I click on the blue link in the error it say "to see what data this error report contains, click here." gives me the following information.

    AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: Modname 6.0.2900.5512: user32.dll

    ModVer: 5.1.2600.5512 Offset: 00009de9.

In addition, in this screen is a link to view technical information about the error report, but it is not allowing me to copy / paste the info, and there is a lot of it.

I use windows XP service pack 2, I believe. I also tried to install the automatic updates, but that none were downloaded and installed solved the problem. This problem started to occur after I inserted my CD (which is very, very old) Guild Wars. Don't know if this will help. Also, it seems that the only thing that that is rampant in this error is my taskbar, I can simply move the message to the bottom of my screen and use all the other features on my computer with no problems at all, but its still a problem annoying.

I hope that this information will be enough for you guys.

    Thank you

Try to restore the System to an earlier stage when things worked very well. To do this clickStart > all programs > Accessories >System Tools > System Restore and select a restore point before the bad things happened!

Or start the System File Checker to check the main system file:

    Run > sfc/scannow
