  I use the PrintTextFile function to display messages and here to warn users if for any reason any printer does not print.  I have a code which are looking for printer error, but I have to use windows SDK.

  I noticed that the basis of CVI does not come with the Win32 API.  I installed the SDK Microsoft Windows and the library winspool.lib under my code.  The software works fine on my machine, but when I install the software on another computer, he denounced a function library dll missing and closed unexpectedly.  (Don't remember the exact error message now).

  What is a related windows error or the CVI linking error?  Can I create a link library dll Windows SDK?

  Well, it could be that Support Engineer experts who are hired by Microsoft do not know how to use Windows SkyDrive...

  Take a look in your c:\windows\system32 folder and see if the comm.drv file is missing.  If is missing, it might have been quarantined (actually deleted) by your unspecified antivirus/antimalware application.

  If the file is missing, it is up on my SkyDrive, you can download.  Here's how:

  I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

  You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

  c:\Windows\System32

  As the comm.drv does not fall into the field of the Protection of Windows file, there is no need to put a copy in the c:\windows\system32\dllcache folder, but you can if you wish.

  1. when exactly do you get this error message? Is the windows startup?

  2. is there a printer installed?

  3. What is the full error message you get?

  4 did you recent hardware or changes to the software of the system?

  Method 1:

  You can try the following steps and check if it helps.

  a. Click Start, Type system32 in the search bar, and then press ENTER.

  b. right-click on the Winspool.drv file and then click Rename.

  c. Type winspool.drv.old and press ENTER.

  d. restart the computer
