Be able to jump up to a point located on an interactive PDF

I want to be able to create a button in an interactive PDF and when you click on it it will go up to a point on a page. Not to a particular page, but a point on a page, a bit like an anchor point in the web. I tried to set a bookmark that I want and then using the button "go to destination", but need me only the top of the page, Special No. point.

Thank you.

Is not possible in a PDF file. You can go to a particular page, and you can adjust your view of the page. You cannot jump to a specific point in a page. That's all.

Remember, that the PDF specification was created a long time ago and has no improvements new slick HTML/CSS/JavaScript for a few years.

    Levels of the different point of view to a PDF form: I have a PDF form that requires the intervention of different people. However, I need to hide certain sections of the form to be used only to specific people. How?

    You define the fields to be hidden by default. You can add code to show and unlock these fields by the user to enter a password, but it is a very weak control.

    Another approach is to use the ID of system connection. The only place that acrobat/Reader sees this information is in the identity object and to access this object in a form requires a special encoding because when you open a form it is not initializing the application, an event console. or a batch. You will need to add a special user folder script to each special user or all users to be able to access these data in a form. This may require the assistance of your IT support form.

    The folder level script could be:

    var MyLoginID = identity.loginID;

    You can access the MyLoginID in open a PDF file to get the ID of the connection. You can change the variable name for security reasons.

Maybe the function exists and I'm not aware, but it would just using the tool of the easier level. I realize, I can type in mathematics to scale upwards or downwards in the palette transform or workspace, but the scale tool dialog box offers the additional advantage to allow you to preview the results, while the other options are not. Am I missing something? Any help is appreciated.

    Hello

    Yes, the Adobe Acrobat Reader for iOS on iPad/iPhone to view PDF Forms.

    The problem is that the preview PDF Apple does not make data from completed forms and annotations (Sticky Notes, point climax, drawing freehand, etc.).

    When you open a PDF document in an application (Mail, Safari, iBooks) Apple iOS, please make sure you use the feature of "open in" iOS to open it in Acrobat Reader for iOS.

  • How to make a button 3 States that remains in 'down' when I jump to a new point on the timeline?

    I use a series of buttons for navigation. When I click on one and go to another point on the timeline, I want the idle state to persist.

    I know how do it in html and css, but not in Edge animate. Thanks in advance, m

    Try this: symbol door button label to the top and bottom and outside (I do not use the State, but you can add the functionality).

    You can also use setVariable() and getVariable if you prefer.

    compositionReady:

    StateDown = 0;

    i = 0;

    SYM. $("feedback") .html ("stop:" + i);

    {sym.$('button').bind ('click', Function ()}

    i ++ ;

    SYM. Play();

    if(StateDown == 0) {}

    sym.getSymbol("button").stop ('down');

    StateDown = 1;

    }

    });

    on the timeline at every stop, I have this:

    StateDown = 0;

    i = 0;

    SYM. $("feedback") .html ("stop:" + i);

    {sym.$('button').bind ('click', Function ()}

    i ++ ;

    SYM. Play();

    if(StateDown == 0) {}

    sym.getSymbol("button").stop ('down');

    StateDown = 1;

    }

    });

  • Can a button to jump to a specific point on the timeline? (without going to another slide)

    I have a project on a slide, with a synchronized video multiple sliders in one minute. I have two buttons that appear after 10 seconds and pause the slide/video. If the user clicks A button, the action is set to 'continue' and the slide/video starts playing where it left off. HOWEVER, if the B button is clicked, I want the action to skip the user on the timeline to 45 second mark. Is there a a way to do this using advanced actions?

    Yes, with micro-navigation, which means that you use the cpCmndGotoFrameAndResume system variable and you will need to calculate the number of frame, which can be done with the same tip action. Chassis numbers start with 0. More information on Micro-navigation:

    Hello

    You must change the click box or the button that opens the PDF file. There is an arrow down to the right of the field. You click it to choose New to coax the PDF to open it in a new window. Looks like you have already done. You must click again and uncheck the option "continue to play the project.

    Once you do this slide should stay put.

    Note that this action will have to occur on each of the boxes of buttons or click that open external documents.

  • Automate the function find-in-time using Javascript / Custom Button?

    Dear Adobe community,

    Thank you in advance for any help or ideas you may have on this issue.

    My client and his team shoot a lot of video and make a lot of PDF reports based on these videos.

    My client seeks a form created in which he can easily add a MP4 (h.264) file to a PDF and then reference this file several times throughout, incorporating the "Seek time" function, (or another JavaScript solution involving the StartAt / EndAt functions, etc.) to bring up the highlights.

    This would allow its inspectors crew field document their results, place the video they record alongside their notes, and end users of these documents would be able to jump right to the points of interest in the video (as each instance would seek to different starting points along the timeline of an embedded video file).

    In an ideal world, the Inspector documenting the results via PDF would be able to use a button or another simple function to add the video file, which would encourage then to enter the offset / time StartAt, so that they do not spend too much time fishing around in the background dialogs for these functions.  Is there a relatively simple way to do this is in the Acrobat DC, XI or X environment?

    Again, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

    You describe the use cases, you don't need JavaScript at all. With the movie embedded in the PDF file, simply open the comments Panel and rubbing to the point of interest in the video with the video, add a comment on the image and save the file. You can even use the annotation of the circle, the pen or the legend to show the specific area of the frame that need attention.

    Then when the comment is selected in the comment Panel, the video will jump up to the moment where the comment was added.

  • Is it possible to create a button that goes back to the previous page?

    I would like to create a button that is located within an interactive pdf page which, when a click, turn to my previously visited page.

    As the page can be accessed through many other pages the traditional built in action menu does not Execute.

    The page that will appear (at the click of a button) is a variety of sizes of mattresses that I want to be accessible by each bed product in our collection. Once the user has looked at the mattress size guide, I want them to be able to back to bed product they were looking for, without having to then do scroll and search.

    Is this possible with tricks of javascript?

    I found this script:

    History.Go (-1);

    But allas acrobat was not fond.

    Help, please!

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the tips!

    I already managed to do the navigation above methods with success.

    I have also since posting this message found the answer via a web document:

    http://cybertext.WordPress.com/2010/07/06/Acrobat-back-and-forward-buttons/

    It seems that if I told him to go to the previous view, it has the same effect as a "back" button.

    Thanks for the quick reply no matter!

  • When typing text cursor suddenly jumps to a point in the text already entered. Use Ctrl Z to recover. How to stop this?

    When you type text, cursor jumps suddenly to a point in the text already entered.  Use Ctrl Z to recover.  How to stop this?

    I use Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron.

    I recently did a "clean boot" who has cured a problem of high CPU usage, but left me this cursor jumping problem.  I have to look at the screen as I type to be aware of these breaks that often occur at random.

    Hello Malcolm,

    Yours is a laptop? If so, you're probably brushing the touchpad with your Palm or fingers. The easiest way around this problem is with an external mouse with touchpad disabled. To disable the touchpad go to control panel, Manager of devices and look under the mouse or HID for her. Then, right-click on it and select Disable (not uninstall - it will reinstall itself only if you do).

    You can also connect an external mouse and select the option for Notification of Touchpad to disable the touchpad when an external mouse is present. This setting can be found in the mouse properties dialog.

    Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Kind regards

  • Points in logarithmic time for Collection

    I am trying to create a Subvi, which will send as a table 1 d of the equidistant points on a logarithmic scale for a vi greater than use to the time of data collection. That is why by collecting those moments the VI will effectively capture data as a semi log plot.

    However, everything I'm doing is right for the Subvi to generate the table 1 d of points in time to integrate into my current program. I would like to be able to impose the number of points, the starting point and the end point. These constraints demand that the basis of the paper varies according to the initial settings.

    If you use the equation

    Number of points = x * Logx [end time] that I know to be true, you end up needing a productlog to use directly as a recipe math to generate the base to use to get the right number of points logarithmically spaced between two end imposed points. Is there a way to productlogs in labview or a vi already in existence of this problem?

    Thanks for your help. I ended up doing in a roundabout way, but this is essentially a background variable for the journal which allows you to set the start and endpoints and many points between. I shared both positive and negative in order to avoid difficulties with negative logarithms. It is not super sleek, but I think it works.

    I was talking about using the product log to work this formula, as I said earlier. However, I think that it is a roundabout way to do this.

  • How can I get rid of a pop-up - found Sttray.Exe-entry point

    When I start my computer, I get the following pop up: Sttray.Exe entry point not found. The procedure entry point locate string could not be located in the dynamic link library stlang.dll. Please how can I get rid of this pop up, and what it means? Thank you. PS my computer is a Dell Inspiron 9400, and I run Windows XP.

    Hi Lewisday,

    I do not think it is a virus problem or infection - this is a notice of failed to start, not a type of infection of popup.  I think you have a problem with loading the Sigmatel Audio driver.  Go to Device Manager and check to see if it shows problems with the driver.  Go to control panel / sound and make sure you can configure everything you should be able to do it - if it is not charging I expect you have some type of audio issue.

    Here is the info on sttray.exe: http://www.what-is-exe.com/filenames/sttray-exe.html.

    I also have the chance to have a Dell 9400/E1705 laptop and this applies to the Sigmatel Audio driver.  You should check your Dell Service tag number, but will probably end up here: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/DriverFileFormats?DriverId=NN9X1&FileId=2940571307&productCode=inspiron-9400&urlProductCode=False.

    It runs at startup for me.  It seems that you are having problems with the driver.  I recommend that you download and update the driver on the system and restart and who may well solve your problem.  You would therefore, by using Device Manager.

    Without it, you can have problems with your sound (maybe not completely - but maybe in terms of getting the best quality).  I've never tried without it and I have mine set to update for Vista now.

    If you do not want to see what happens if you don't just run this application at startup (which will remove the popup as well) and since it is more likely is not already running anyway and yet you don't mention sound problems (maybe you do not just use anything but computers audio base that maybe does not need - I'm not sure) , you can go to start / run and type msconfig.exe, and then enter.  Go to the faucet of startup and uncheck the box next to Sigmatel or sttray.exe, save the changes and reboot.  I bet that the notice has disappeared-, but did you notice changes to your audio files?  If this is not the case, then perhaps you can live without it if the above has not resolved things.

    In any event it is not a virus, removing startup thing will remove the popup and update the driver may solve the problem and allow the feature to stay (if you notice or care).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    Kosh
