  Please provide the error screenshot more better assitance. Also, try this:

  Try to copy and merge the audio from another Windows 8 or better service.

  You can do this by going to the Registry Editor (make sure that the other computer is also a 32-bit system)

  Go to HKLM/system/current control set/services/audiosrv click audiosrv and then on the file menu, select export and save the file to a USB key or drive.

  While copy on your machine and merge. Then restart your system.

  I'm trying to add audio to the text boxes in captivate 7, but whenever I click "Add audio" or "insert audio" window does not appear, but captivate is frozen until I hit the 'Esc' key It's as if the audio window appear off the screen or is it invisible.   As RodWard points out, Captivate "may think" the window to another location.

  In case of re - arrange the monitors does not resolve the problem, then remove the Captivate preferences folder is a quick way to Captivate 'forget' the invalid position (but, of course, your other preferences will be lost as well)

  In general Preferences for Captivate 7 folder will be located in C:\users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\Captivate 7.0

  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your Compaq Presario 2195US Notebook and having Audio problems with Windows 7 drivers. I would go to the Device Manager and do a right click on the audio adapter (if more 1 present I delete them all and restart the computer) in your devices and update the driver manager. Restart the computer and see this help. Here is a downloadthat I found for the audio driver, it is a third party site.

  I just bought a HP Envy 17 - j020us today. It came stock with Windows 8 is installed and I have, for my own reasons, decided to install Windows 7 above. Long story short, the installation has worked, for the most part. The only problem was that I was missing some drivers. However, there's still about 3 pieces of material that is not installed, the drivers with the network controller.   My touchscreen is once more functional.  I can't see or access Microsoft Edge and file Explorer is more listed in my Start menu, but the computer works fine otherwise.  High speed works well again.

  Did you read the MS article that I posted above?  There are instructions on how to do not require a password.

  Since the upgrade to Windwos 8.1 is free, then you should do this update and apply all of the published HP updates.  Then watch this video and it will show you how to remove the password and lock screen.
