Because of conversion of plain text HTML

When I get a response as HTML mail, as in this example:

text text

2014-01-01 15:27 GMT + 00:00 < [email protected] >:
> quoted text

and he responds to plain text (I checked the settings to use plain text only), texts by email are duplicated.
This is what it looks like then: e-mail < mailto: email >

> 2014-01-01 15:27 GMT + 00:00 < [email protected]
> <mailto:[email protected]> >:

Is this a bug? Or can I fix this somehow return the correct format?

> 2014-01-01 15:27 GMT + 00:00 < [email protected] >:

Imagine what happens when you reply to this email 10 times,
hundreds of email addresses appear in the body of the email.

I see, it is already reported bug

  • How to turn off bold/italic/underlined in displayed as plain text HTML mail?

    Hello!

I use Thunderbird on a workplace where HTML mail is fairly regular, but I
prefer to hide all the HTML formatting and display as plain text, which can
be easily done by choosing View > Message body as > plain text, but it seems
to convert the original HTML formatting to this simple text formatting,
which means that surround it in * for "BOLD", _ to highlight, and / for italics, which
I find it embarrassing, because often, it makes the message more difficult to read, for example
inserts many formatting consecutively: "* reason for the software.
"Replacement * decision: *", sometimes inside words and generally done more
harm than good. It also breaks URL, because they are displayed like this:
'_ https://google.com _' and back treated Thunderbird pointed out in
URL, so the links are incorrect.

Can this formatting everything be placed when displaying HTML in plain text?

I wrote the question, I found my answer in register configuration of Thunderbird, but I decided to publish it anyway, as I've found that asking one elsewhere. The solution is to go to Preferences > advanced > Config Editor and the option 'converter.html2txt.structs' set to false.

  • Conversion HTML to plain text.

I'm still a beginner but have managed to create a Web site. There are some files I want to download from a site external (I have permission), but does not include how to convert HTML to plain text. The site has an option of plain text, but when I followed the instructions, nothing happens. I tried laptop but can't get anywhere with it. I just downloaded coffeecup but STILL not get the hang of it!

I contacted Chat Forum on my site, and they said it was a simple exercise to convert HTML to plain text in Notepad.

    It's just that I'm Pier?

Copy the text from the Web site.  Then open Notepad and paste in the Notepad window and it will be in plain text format.  If you have the HTML with tags, and everything only, and then save that as a htm file and then click above to open it in Internet Explorer and then copy that and then paste it in Notepad.

Otherwise it's not clear to me what you mean.

  • If an email in html format that I send to back me in plain text, what I am doing wrong?

I am a newbie to TB, and I'm trying to learn his ways. In order to test my email options (insert an image, signature, formatted html, etc.), I send test emails to myself (that is to say, through an e-mail address & server to another via another server).

I thought I had licked the problem of getting a 'letterhead logo' introduced by inserting a picture, as well as the desired police, the size of police and put behind for that e-mail, once delivered to me (via another email address and server), had lost any html formatting (although, fortunately, remained the logo image). As far as I can see, this was not a case to send the message to a recipient who does not HTML.

I searched parameters of composition of the CT (at least those that I can find) and can't find anything about this, other than the options available when TB does not format the recipient preferences (IE, re gross surHTMLouTexte - I put "Sending html and plain text.").

All the tips/help would be welcome with gratitude!

"Is it possible for an e-mail I send in HTML format to be sent as plain text in the response of someone who is using only plain text?"

Yes, especially if you want to send HTML and text versions gross. Those who prefer plain text have no reason to keep the HTML content.

  • Impossible to update plugins, because the "State of the plugin" page links to plain text

Left in the Add-ons Manager, I clicked on "check to see if your plugins are up to date. When the State results page displayed, is in plain text, like this:

    Potentially vulnerable plugins
    State of plugin action
    Outdated plugins
    State of plugin action
    Unknown plugins
    State of plugin action
These plugins are up to date
    State of plugin action

There is nothing to click on update a plugin. Whenever I open the Add-ons Manager - even when I search for new Add-ons, I feel this style of formatting of plain text.

I clicked by mistake on "Mark it as resolved. FredMcD response has not solved the problem.

He must have had a little problem in the Web site because 2 days later, everything worked perfectly normal.

  • On Firefox only, I get problems with a few Joomla sites using the JA_purity template. Error: has not been loaded because its MIME type "text/html", is not "text /".

    Hello

I updated Firefox on my computer for 13.01. Now, he struggles to read about 2 sites - both are Joomla and based on the model of JA-purity. What happens is that it fails to load the CSS files to do with the side and the top of the Joomla site menus. The file comes up with this:

because its MIME type "text/html", is not "text/css".
    Source file: http://extensions.joomla.org/
    Line: 0

This error does not appear with other browsers and it displays perfectly in fact in all other browsers.

I'm new on this but I read the following article and think it could be my problem

    https://developer.Mozilla.org/en/Incorrect_MIME_Type_for_CSS_Files

Where Im stuck, it's that I did not fully understand what to make of this article, if I could get a step by step guide to fix this problem that would be greatly appreciated.

I apologize in advance if the answer lies somewhere here - I have had a look and couldn't get out.

    Thank you
    Alex

I don't see that the error and all style sheets seem to load.

Reload Web pages, and ignore the cache.

    • Hold SHIFT and click reload.
    • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
    • Press 'Cmd + Shift + R' (MAC)

Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".
  • Links E-mail in plain text rather than HTML blackBerry Smartphones

I have a BB Curve 8310 and recently updated for the new OS 4.5 in an effort to try to receive emails with links buried in HTML, not plain text. I receive many emails with multiple links buried in the Organization and spend most of my time to scroll rather than read. This can be very frustrating when you try to read e-mail in pieces around all the code in the link. Any help? Or am I just screwed?

Will have to return the directory service, or remove and readd the accounts to get the HTML option.

  • How can I send a PDF file using Adobe Reader IX and have use HTML instead of plain text in Outlook

    Hey guys

New to the Adobe Forums. So hey... :))

    That's the problem I have

I use Outlook 2007 to my e-mail client, Adobe Reader XI has been implemented already so that it uses Outlook to send from Adobe

Whenever I send a new email or respond to an email in Outlook, it uses HTML. It is very good

However, when I click on Adobe XI e-mail button. It opens a new e-mail message in Outlook with the attachment already fixed, but it does not use the HTML, I have no signature, its plain text all.

Is there a way I can fix it.

    See you soon

    NATO

As far as I KNOW, no. Acrobat/Reader will generate emails in plain text.

  • How can I know which addresses I arranged to be sent in plain text view (using send options).

I got 3 messages rejected by a genealogy mailing list because it is not in plain text so I go to tools and arrange for an email address to receive only plain text. How can I check to see what I have set up to receive emails in plain text format only addresses. This assumes that I forgot what I did and in the case of rejected emails can I persevering by entering the address in the option procedure send.

    Thanks, Trev.

You can also choose composing in plain text.

If you usually compose using HTML and have the formatting bar etc, but you want to dial a specific plain text e-mail.
'Shift' key and click on "write".
This will allow a single plain text e-mail.

  • Try to paste a link in the email displayed in plain text in Firefox, but as a link in Internet Explorer. This setting should be changed?

When you use Yahoo mail in IE, paste a link as a link, but plain text in Firefox. (YES, I know how to convert it into a hyperlink, but should not be necessary since it is automatic with IE.)

This conversion is made via a script that usually only works in IE and not in other browsers, in Firefox, you can use the toolbar button to create a hyperlink.

  • It is possible to have boring, signatures of plain text in outlook express? I want to create one with colored text and a photo...

I figured out how to create a signature in outlook express, but it's a boring, plain text signature.  There is a 'file' option in the tab signatures at the bottom, but I don't know what it is for, and there is no heading 'help' for this option.  Looks like I was able to import a file from somewhere else (has a browse button), but I tried and it doesn't work.  I don't know what .txt file is either...  I want to create a signature colored with diverse text and a picture, but I don't think its possible with this e-mail program, or if it is I can't understand how do.

    Hi Schutzhundgirl,

It is possible to create Rich Text signatures, but it requires a HTML file.
I recommend you search the Internet for "create the signature outlook express" for more information on creating Rich Text signatures that Microsoft provides no support for the creation of HTML documents.

  • CM1312nfi MFP printing strange colours in plain text documents

My CM1312nfi MFP printer has started printing text wrong color, even on plain text pages. On plain text pages, with the text selected by default is black, it's printing text sort of greenish in about half left of the page and a blackish purple on half right side of the page.

I changed the black toner cartridge, but that did not help.

I ran only a calibration routine, but that did not help or the other.

I run the site Internet HP postscript driver (upd - ps - x 64 - 5.5.0.12834.exe) because the application that I am printing demands. It printed fine with this driver for hundreds of pages, and then all of a sudden he started this thing green and purple.

The system is a HP Pavilion e9260f running windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

There has been no recent change in the system of the printer. This seems to be just all of a sudden.

I'm at the end of my mind. Any suggestions? It's time to send it to HP for repairs?

    P. S.

The symptoms you describe are related to a physical defect somewhere on the printer.  The software should have nothing to do with it.

Your cartridges are brand new HP or handed over to new/completed?

Assuming that your cartridges are new to HP the other element to be considered is the fuser unit. Bad ovens need to be replaced and can be quite spendy.  Unless you can find a fault with the cartridges, it is likely that's going to be worth it to replace the printer with a newer model.  HP or a certified technician should be able to take care of the repairs for you too if that's what you prefer.
