Beginner question: why used grid snap to guides?

Hello

I'm pretty new to illustrator and you want to create a little background for an e-mail template html that I do.

I have the artboard the value 800 X 666 (weird, I know, but that is how it is done), assign leaders pixels and placed at 70 and 730 px vertical slides, giving me a centered box width 660px.

Then, I turned on a grid of pixels with a line each 10px with 10 subdivisions.

My problem is that the grid is not guides. the origin (0,0) of my work plan begins to halfway between 2 lines of pixel grid and guide lines start slightly.

Where am I wrong?

Thank you

Andy

You need to zoom to see the ten divisions of the grid of 10 pixels your magnification is too small to display the gridlines.

If you notice you don't see 72 divisions for the first 72 pixels

  • Beginner question: Why use concat?

Why to never use the concat method of the String class instead of simply use the operator +? Is there a situation in which the operator doesn't work in the same way, or is this just a personal preference thing?

Just curious because I have learned...

Plus a decade of programming Java, I never once String.concat (). I don't know what value it adds. Maybe it's that it existed before StringBuffer, so that the + operator was a syntactic sugar for concat(), before becoming a sugar for SB.append (). At this point it is probably just kept for backward compatibility.

  • Beginner question - why the new pages always spread?

Whenever I insert new pages to my doc, they're pasta spread, even if the master is implemented in a single page.

In the workspace, spreads in the thumbnails of Pages dialog box. I don't want that.

I want pages simple, stacked vertically.

I deleted all the masters and made a new Master - a single page. When I insert Pages and add pages 3, 4, 5, they always display product.

I've looked everywhere I can think of and you can find no place in the Pages dialog box to change this for simple pages.

    Thank you

When you start a new Document, simply uncheck the pages box facing in the new dialog box.

    Questions 1)

Not because the LRDATA file is fair previews, what LR displays on your screen for a faster loading of the image and will be recreated. The previews only stored in the folder LRDATA is the basic overview created at time of importation for the display of thumbnails and previews of 1:1 for images that you have actually looked in the Loupe View or I guess that appears in the develop module.

He get all the data to create the image themselves file extracts.

If you have several files on your system that have pictures in them and you select one of them that you have not looked at in a while, you will notice LR creation of previews for these images, there will be 3 white dots in the upper right corner of the thumbnail. It's LR creation of previews for the thumbnail view. If you scroll quickly in the grid view, you'll notice a few thumbnails of images are gray, until you stop scrolling, then the upper left tile will come in clear view and the white dots will appear on the other images. It's LR creating previews for those of other images. Once LR created the preview of thumbnails that are on your screen, white spot will disappear. If you scroll down again, you will see more white dots

If you switch to another folder that LR begins again create preview images in this folder. The total number of previews created and stored based on caching of the preview you have in the catalog settings dialog in the management of the files tab.

If not, you need not the LR Previews.lrdata folder. Whenever LR is not very good this folder with a catalog he recreates it to store previews in.

  • Why use the collections?

Please help me to better understand and to right the next point

to move from a PPT available in internet, I read a sentence under the heading "Why use collections?" Please find here

Use of complex data sets information to host non-PL/SQL environments using table functions

I think I understand: it means that complex data sets can be collected from oracle using only a single sql statement by using the installation, called Oracle Pipelined Table functions. http://www.akadia.com/services/ora_pipe_functions.html]

Is any other installation in oracle to the serveup of complex datasets of the information to the host non-PL/SQL environments?

Published by: o Manjusha Muraleedas, error corrected spelling.

I watched the presentation and here's how I read it (although you might be better to ask the author):

    Manjusha Muraleedas wrote:
My question is, why the statement "Serve up complex data sets of information to host non-PL/SQL environments using table functions" came under the title "Why use collections?". Just because there's an installation? or any other really good news?

There is a hypothesis that is unwritten in the presentation: "complex" data is data that must be handled in PL/SQL, because only SQL does not work.

Nowhere the author says that a pure SQL solution should be changed into a solution of PL/SQL.

Once you decide that you must use the PL/SQL, you might want to put your data in collections in scalar variables.

I understand, complex data, works of art (suppose a structure with 3 columns of tables joing 5) can be meet non-pl/sql envirormment like Java, the use of the ref Cursor or xml. Collection using to do the same thing, this is not a good option.

Again, I think that the author uses "complex" as a shortcut for 'need to PL/SQL in the first place'. If the data must be processed in PL/SQL, there is no need to use PL/SQL scalar variables or collections.
I would say "use of the ref Cursor. Providing relational data in format XML should be the exception, not the rule. It has a cost of additional performance.

Now lets talk about pipeline table functions.
    ...
functions table pipeline reached the performance of parallel processing. so even if binding commodity of time and memory is there, it will be performs better than refcursors or xml?

Pipeline table functions perform no better than the ref Cursor. There are two processes running, one to SELECT and the other for the function, there will be more work on the server. With a ref cursor, there is a fair process to return the data.

Parallel processing is not a problem. If you can make it work in plain SQL, you can do in parallel in SQL simple.

  • Movement of mask and the track Matte Question - why it doesn't work?

    Hi first gurus...

I am able to use the first titration module - to create a mask - then the Luma put on the effect of TrackMatte to isloate a region of the video (I duplicated the original) which I am interested.

-By of many tutorials/videos online, I've found.

Question: Why - can I not use the mask / "exit" from the ThreeWayColorCorrector to do the same thing?

Image - duplicate the clip - drop the ThreeWayColorCorrector - using "High color" mode - to isolate people form (from an extract of the interview);  the background is black... the contour hair root and the body of the interviewee is white.

I get white/black - because I passed the exit of the ThreeWayColorCorrector to 'mask '...

Now - when I drop this clip on my video editing - that I use for the TrackMatte effect - it does not work as I had expected, it could - at all...

Very disappointing - it would have been a very powerful way - to create a mobile cache to work with the TrackMatte effect...

If someone has done something like this before? Y at - it an easy solution - or a setting that I missed...

This should work really - not?

    Some information:

I work with a GreenScreen shot - with lighting poor to separate the hairline of the screen.

Work with green screen - subject to blonde hair.

I thought that the retro-lighting/hairlight was not necessary - I was wrong.

Now with the green screen hidden using this ultra key - get jagged effect around the airline and what looks like the snow and noise around the fringe.

I thought en - 1) video duplication and combining with effect 2) TrackMatte - use a mobile mask that matched just the root of the hair/plan - I might be able to blurr the edge enough to get rid of the unpleasant effect I see...

As BIG as the UltraKeyer is - different parameters of transparency/spill/Starter/soften seem not to be able to remove the ugly/noticeable hairline artifacts that I see...

New - look like jagged effect / snow...

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

    F

In my opinion, the track-bearing on Pr capabilities fall away from the brand.  The fact fcp7 as it is very useful.  The limitation of the matte in public relations is that the mast is adjusted on the layer is hidden.  You can animate and change the scale and position of the track matte layer, but if you want it to run in smooth synchronization with the matted layer, you're in for a bit of work.  Ideally, you should be able to pan and adjust the layer being hidden inside a motionless mask.  Can-do that elegantly in PR.  This is a faulty design of the Pr, IMO.

As a general rule, you must go to EI for the good contols, where you have all the power of masking you need, with the exception of the variable feathering, and who is rumored to be included in AeCS6.  Also it would be nice to be able to follow the points of mask, which is not currently in Ae either.  But that's another debate.

That said, I am able to use the mask to a secondary use as a Luma matte.  Not sure why it does not work for you.  Have you played with the secondary commands sweetness?  I couldn't even be after what is your problem.

However, here is a tip that I use with Ae that might work for your problem of inlay.  Use two instances of the Keyer.  Use all first to create a "garbage" key, where you will have the most greenery, leaving only a border around your subject.  Then, you can use the second instance of the Keyer to hone in on the edges.  Give it a shot.  Might work for you.  This method gives you an option to avoid the harsh cleanup settings of Matte with eradicating all the Greens in a framework.

  • Why use of UTP Cable more than twisted pair cable twisted pair cable STP?

Why use of UTP Cable more than twisted pair cable twisted pair cable STP?

    Hi stuckfree,

UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cables are the most commonly used cables for ethernet connections and have a number of advantages. They rely on the effect of cancellation caused by the twisting of the pairs of wires to handle noise, which is uses more than enough for most domestic. They are also smaller than STP (shielded twisted pair) cables, which makes them easier to install, especially in bulk or in narrow spaces. They are easier to install than the sewage and do not require the presence of a ground cable. UTP cables are also cheaper than the STP cables and do not require as much maintenance, since they do not rely on an external display, and can transmit data as fast as the STP cables.

Marking bad sectors on a hard disk takes time so be patient. Delimiting does not repair a defective sector. He places pointers to the reader by saying the system not to read or write to these areas that have been damaged.

If the number of defective sectors continued to increase after using the procedure above several times, then you should replace the disk. If an important system file is written to a bad sector, you can corrupt the registry hives and lose the entire contents of the disc.

However if have run chkdsk you not see more new bad sectors, then the reader can work for you for years.
