Benefits of implementing reserves memory in a display environment?

I'm under low disk space and the questions came on the addition of memory reservations for help. What are the advantages and disadvantages of other than disk setting reserves bulky?  If I set up a reservation, is the page file created yet?

I think the most important thing is saving disk space.    The only con is that if you set reservations @ 100% you lose your memory overcomittment.    I have seen that the 50% number floating around forums a couple of times.    Which resembled what most people thought was the sweet spot.

The pagefile is size of memory - reservation of memory, so if you have a machine to 2 GB and 1 GB of reserve you more a pagefile of 1 GB.

  • 1.6 GHz 1.8 GHz vs. benefits of the turbo memory? a/b/g/n vs a/b/g

    Three questions really...

    Is there a significant difference in performance between processors clocked at 1.6 GHz and 1.8 GHz? If so, how is this affecting production of heat/energy.

    What is the advantage of the hd turbo memory cache and it interacts badly with vista?

    Is a comopatible n-network card as the Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN has significantly lower energy consumption that thinkpad atheros card? (I read this on another forum) Otherwise, I decide that I really have need compatibility n-network because few of these networks exist.

    The difference in speed is minimal between the two processors of the same generation, i.e. Core Duo or Core 2 Duo. The turbo memory benefits are realized only when you do not have a lot of ram for Vista, that is 1 gig or something. If you install 3 GB of ram (market now good enough right) the gain in speed is minimal with Turbo memory is minimal, while your 3 concert can still run under XP not the same for the Intel turbo memory. You can also get half of the allocation of memory Intel turbo using the functionality of Windows Readyboost in Vista, obtained using a fast SD card or a USB key. Wireless cards with doubled the speed of the g version N function, if you much sharing of large files wireless then of course it is useful, but if just use you it for surfing the net so I think 54 Mbps is fast enough.

  • Why the processor info and his memory will not display on the properties of the computer.

    In addition, SYSTEM side is not displayed but I see when I select the tools and performance information.

    The computer seems to work fine otherwise, I just want to know how and why the information is not seen in the System Properties screen.

    If the system is stable and functional, I don't think anything really to worry about.

  • Cannot increase the reserve memory beyond 256 MB

    I have an unusual problem with a cluster ESX3.5 VC2.5 DRS/HA. I have a total of 6 guests so far with 12 GB each. I have only 5 VMs and I can't pay for the reservation of memory on any of them beyond 256 MB. I tried a variety of configurations, including the making of HA and DRS for the cluster so that to create a new cluster. I also tried to use a resource pool. I get the same results. I put a pool of resources, subject memory 10 GB and put a single guest in it. I can't always go more than 256 MB on this prompt. If I check the allocation of resources of comments, the 'other resources' marker shows 256MB and I am unable to change it.

    There is only one scenario that seems to work and it is a host outside of a cluster. I can put a higher reserve, but if I then migrates the guest in the cluster, it resets to 256 MB.

    This ROM of affect, reservations CPU work very well.

    I'm running out of ideas and I can't live with this limitation. Can anyone help?

    available memory cannot be changed that with the computer virtual powered down - have you tried?

  • How to extend the memory of card display for Satellite Pro A120?

    Someone at - it an idea how to proceed?

    What graphics card you have?
    What is a processor ATI or nVidia GPU?

    Graphics memory of my knowledge depends on the size of the main memory.
    The larger main memory, the largest memory GPU.

    However, if your graphics card supports shared memory and then the graphics card driver controls the amount of GPU automatically.
    In other words, if the GPU memory is not required then shared the GPU memory is set to a lower value.

  • Equium L20 - memory does not display correctly?

    Hi I just bought an Equium L20. First time I had a Laptop.In the card it says 256 MB memory. But when I checked the system it says I have 192 MB. Where's the other the 64 MB? Or am I just drive I thought.

    [Edited by: admin November 13 05 13:03]

    Hello

    you really have to 256 MB of memory. But for the moment, your laptop uses only 192 MB, because the other 64 MB are used as additional video memory to the graphics card.

    By the way, you should be thinking of an upgrade of memory, 256MB is not so.

    Good bye

    Hello

    If I get 36 samples after conversion for all hours, up to 83 h 2388 samples displayed in table and graphical data are thin and samples correspond exactly.

    After that 90 hours 45 minutes late is observed after theoretical calculation of samples, what could be the problem

    I have controller dual-core PXI8108 with 1 GB of ram

    As DFGray,

    says there is no problem with the RAM or display, problem with conversion (timming issue) if I am data conversion of large amount it takes even, compared to the conversion less amount of data. So I modifed so that each data point Sec 1 is convereted at once, problem solved

    Hi all

    I have a question about Weblogic clusters concept. First of all, I would like to explain my environment architecture. We have SOA and ADF area configured with the mode high availability at the level of weblogic.

    That is to say SOA is installed in two servers (primary and secondary) and ADF respectively. So in total 4 servers.

    My query is: I just want to know the advantages and disadvantages if we have configured the two primaries and

    Hello

    There is no downside to this title with the clustering functionality.

    But you can browse the basic benefits that provides functionality of clustering:

  • Implementation report in shape to display the header of the column on the left, right, with values

    Hi guys,.

    I created a report that copies the data on my table (the usual apex report).

    Basically I want to format the output of my data like this:

    ID of the database: 14
    Name of the database: Oracle 11 G
    Build databases: xx... xxx

    Is it possible that I can do the report format so it displays the headers on the side instead of up as result of the SQL query.

    Thanks a lot guys.

    Have you tried to set column alignment/topic alignment properties in the report column attributes?

    Thanks a lot guys. Sorry, I'm very new to this SUMMIT.

    You will get a faster, more effective response to your questions including information as much information as possible from the outset. This should include:

  • Full version of APEX
  • Edition and the full version of DB
  • (EPG, SST or APEX listener) Web server architecture
  • Browser (s) and version (s) used
  • Theme
  • Model (s)
  • Region/item (s)

    With APEX, we are fortunate to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproducing things is the best way to solve most of the problems.

    Best regards
    Martin

    Interesting.

    I see that Dominic Brooks gave you a suggestion on Oracle-L. try this script that uses his suggestion:

    SPOOL OUTPUT.TXT
    ALTER SYSTEM FLUSH SHARED_POOL;
    ALTER SESSION SET "_cursor_plan_unparse_enabled"=FALSE;

    SELECT /*+ gather_plan_statistics */ table_name from user_tables;

    select * from table(dbms_xplan.display_cursor(null,null,'COST IOSTATS LAST'));

    COLUMN ACCESS_PREDICATES FORMAT A30
    COLUMN FILTER_PREDICATES FORMAT A30
    COLUMN ID FORMAT 99
    COLUMN CN FORMAT 99

    SELECT
      CHILD_NUMBER CN,
      ID,
      ACCESS_PREDICATES,
      FILTER_PREDICATES
    FROM
      V$SQL_PLAN_STATISTICS_ALL
    WHERE
      SQL_ID='cjgkchwa4vpnm'
    ORDER BY
      CHILD_NUMBER,
      ID;

    ALTER SESSION SET "_cursor_plan_unparse_enabled"=TRUE;

    SELECT /*+ gather_plan_statistics */ table_name from user_tables;

    select * from table(dbms_xplan.display_cursor(null,null,'COST IOSTATS LAST'));

    SELECT
      CHILD_NUMBER CN,
      ID,
      ACCESS_PREDICATES,
      FILTER_PREDICATES
    FROM
      V$SQL_PLAN_STATISTICS_ALL
    WHERE
      SQL_ID='cjgkchwa4vpnm'
    ORDER BY
      CHILD_NUMBER,
      ID;

    SPOOL OFF

    I see the following:

    ...
    SQL> ALTER SESSION SET "_cursor_plan_unparse_enabled"=FALSE;
