Best Certification path

Hi all

After VCP - VTC 5.5, I'm confused what to take certification path.

I looked at the roadmap of certification:

http://myLearn.VMware.com/portals/certification/

My question:

Is it better to upgrade to VCP6 - VTC and wait for the VCIX6-VTC?

or

Go to VCAP5-DCD / VCAP5-DCA

Thanks in advance!

Depends on what you use the most and how much time you have done on the VCAP exams. If no then I wanted to wait for VCIX-6 and just do one of these exams and then you will get automatically the VCP6. Rumors are VCIX exams are early next with the beta version due to arrive any day now

    Hello

The end point you call is I think a https url?

If so, did you add the client certificate of this url to your JVM certificate store in 11.1.1.6?

Is it possible that the JVM uses 11.1.1.7, doesn't have these certificates in the store?

Try to add this area to the certification path you store of certificates (a certification authority is usually placed in the trust store).

  • OCA Certification path

    Hi friends,

I want to ask. Can I take beforehand the Oracle Administration I (1z0-052), then Oracle 11 g Sql Fundamentals (1z0-051), I mean what is the difference in sequence?

    According to this link

    You can not.

On the show link, it says:

Please note: this is the suggested progression the path to certification. However, the steps failed to fill in the order listed.

so this page shows the exams can be taken in a sequence; but a certification will be awarded not until all prerequisites are met.

http://certification.Oracle.com - support - faq... I think has an authority response (from memory)... but the site is currently inaccessible as I post.

However, be confident, you can take the exams in any order any... but be aware 1z0 - 051 and 1z0-052 should normally be of the order of preference.

  • Having trouble finding the Java certification path pattern I've seen before

I searched for several minutes in the field of Oracle certification for a diagram I've seen before. This is a diagram that represents most (if not all) of the Java certifications in a pile of the CERT starting upwards through the advances and the paths to go from the first to the last.

Can someone refer me to the exact link where is this diagram? I saw him in the past, but I can't find it now...

This scheme is not updated to new Java certifications and is no longer available. As mentioned above, you can view a list of the Java Certifications available on our Web site. Let us know if you have specific certification questions Java.

    You can directly place 11.2.0.2 to 12 c - http://docs.oracle.com/database/121/UPGRD/preup.htm#UPGRD12358

Using DBUA is preferable to any other method of upgrade - http://docs.oracle.com/database/121/UPGRD/upgrade.htm#UPGRD105

  • Urgent on the certification path

    Greetings...

I intend to take the exams to:

    -Introduction to Oracle9i SQL | 1Z0-007

    -PL/SQL program. 1Z0-147

then - death - I'll get the Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate

My question is: if I pass the exam of Oracle Forms: create some Internet Applications | 1Z0-141 and pass it, now I get the Oracle Forms Developer Certified Professional?

Otherwise, what is the right way to do?

    Thanks in advance.

I intend to take the exams to:

    -Introduction to Oracle9i SQL | 1Z0-007

    -PL/SQL program. 1Z0-147

If you plan to take the 1Z0-007, you better plan sound within eight days.  He retired after July 31 and will not be available.  Examination of replacement is 1Z0-051 and 1Z0-061.

then - death - I'll get the Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate

My question is: if I pass the exam of Oracle Forms: create some Internet Applications | 1Z0-141 and pass it, now I get the Oracle Forms Developer Certified Professional?

This is the correct path.  Be aware that 1Z0-141 should be retired on 31 July, then was removed from this list.  It should always be retired in the near future.  It is unlikely to be retired within 3-4 months, but will probably be less than 12-18 (in my opinion, not a statement of Oracle).

  • VCAP 5 of the VCP 4 certification path

Currently, I am a VCP on vSphere 4.  If I want to become a VCAP on vSphere 5 once the version and its test are available, what is the path to get there?  Will I need to re-certify as a VCP on vSphere 5 year next before taking the VCAP review at vSphere5?  Or can I go straight from VCP4 to VCAP5 once the VCAP5 test is available?

    Thank you

I think that first we should wait for the release of vSphere 5 (end of 2011 of maybe?).

Then, first of all is generally defined the new VCP5 review and upgrade to VCP4.

Then probably the VCAP exams, but I guess you must be VCP5 to take them.

    Finally the VCDX5?

  • Ask about Oracle certification for the Admin path

Hi I have the underside of certifications under my belt:-1. Oracle Certified Associate of PL/SQL Developer 2. Oracle PL/SQL Developer certified professional that I would give Oracle Database 11 g administration Associate certification. I see that I need to give exams 1Z0-051 and 1Z0-052 for. So my question is whther I need to give Z051 review? Keeping in mind, I traced level OCP, authorized as a PL/SQL Developer. Thanks in advance...

How can I get confirmation on this officially?

    See the FAQ:

    https://education.Oracle.com/pls/web_prod-PLQ-dad/db_pages.GetPage?page_id=82

Look for the "SQL Fundamentals".  One of the questions will be: "How long can I use an exam to earn a certification? "Exam results expire?"

The answer is: "do not expire the results of exams, but certifications are retiring, and that affects your older test results will help you to get certified or not. "

If a specific review meets a requirement in a current certification path, it does not matter if you have passed the exam. "For example, if you have taken SQL, # 1Z0-001 review in 1997, you can always use it meets the requirement of SQL for Oracle database current certification."

If you do not trust that - the moderator of the forum, Brandye, can come in a day or two to confirm what I said.  However, there is no doubt.  The question comes up fairly often.  In fact, I wrote a blog on this subject for more than a year (although this would not even "official", of course):

  • What is the best way for a J2EE developer with oracle?

    Hello

I am a J2EE developer, for the moment I'm working in a commercial bank as an enterprise application developer. Java, I learned when I was following a degree of local COMPUTER and with the help of books, work at my place of work and the internet, today I develop applications with JSP, Servlets, JSF2.0, EJB3.0 and third-party J2EE part libraries JSF etc (I also develop software using other programming languages such as Asp.net, c# .net, etc. WPF, but I prefer to be in the path of java). Other than that, I also work as the designer of the user interface of most of our applications.

I have the skills and practice after having worked for 4 years as a developer of web/enterprise applications & UI designer, but now I have to focus on some grades of paper and so I do BCS.

Now, I want to be a professional in the Oracle java path, and I need to know what is the best way, I choose to go with Oracle. I finished my SCJP courses, but did not take the exams, because there were rumors that Oracle will clear these reviews in the future. I am interested in Oracle university, but I'm unable to even think about it as I live in Sri Lanka and is not only a large part of the wealth to go to the USA and join.

So I really appreciate if any professional Oracle could suggest me the best educational path based on what I mentioned about my technical and professional training. Because I have a dream to join Oracle a day as an employee and be a good contributor on the same forum, which I get help today!

    :-)

    Thank you!!!

As you can see on our Web site, Oracle did not retire Java certifications. You can browse through the available certifications and I hope to help determine your path.
    http://education.Oracle.com/pls/web_prod-PLQ-dad/db_pages.GetPage?page_id=140

SCJP became Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer. You can find more information on these reviews on our site here: http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=320.

Concerning training, virtual training live might be an option for you. You can find more information at http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=233.

  • Specialization courses. Certification AV-partners

Hi I want the specification information in Symantec antivirus or forced all the expertise courses please provide me as soon as POSSIBLE

    Thank you
    vaibhav

    Hi vaibhav,

Contact Symantec for Symantec certifications, from here: http://www.symantec.com/training/certification/path.jsp?pathID=all_certs.

For the certifications AV in a more generic sense (or any other non-Microsoft certifications), use Bing or Google to find what you want.  Here is a point of departure (for example): http://www.bing.com/search?q=Antivirus%20certification&sc=2-23&form=BSRTLB&pc=BBSR&QS=n.

There is no certification specifically for Microsoft Security Essentials.  For general information about Microsoft certifications, please start here: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/view-by-name.aspx.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Would you recommend certifications g 11 or 12 c certifications for the future?

    good afternoon community,

recently, I decided to complete a certification path in oracle 11g. However, seeing how 12 c's distribution and sales, do you think that it will be able to take over 11g anytime soon? now, I know that large companies and other ranging from medium to large still do not feel safe using the cloud or prefer 11g as a personal choice. but can all of this change in the next 2-3 years? and it would be difficult to adapt to 12 c as an expert, if I got all my experience on 11g certifications?

Would appreciate any info specialized this topic!

    Kind regards

I don't think anyone has the exact numbers on 12 c installs compared to all the other version of Oracle.  If I were to speculate, I imagine that they are currently high single-digit (6-9%). In three years, 12 c installed may exceed 11g install.

Oracle 12 c is based on Oracle 11 g. inspired by 10 GB, which was based on...

90% or more of the RDBMS feature that provides 12 c exist in 11g. Discover 11g well, and using 12 c, just to learn the new features of the 12 c. I wrote a blog post about 11g certification vs 12 c awhile back.  It was before 12 c is out to production, but many points are still valid.

  • What is the best way to migration to version 7.0.4 to 10.1.4 OAM 3

Currently, we are migrating to OAM 10.1.4. Looks like the latest version is 10.1.4.3, but I couldn't find an upgrade to software that

You can find more information in the doc: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15217_01/doc.1014/e12495/scenario.htm#CEGIDJCJ

  • Duration of Oracle Certification? (Renewal of the certification Question (s))

For the various Certification paths/tracks offered by Oracle, is it an official URL that indicates how long the certifications are good for and the process to obtain a new certification? And for more coverage more than scope-> more Beefy/more thick certifications get you automatically an OCA? IE: If you get an OCP, have you considered OCA?

Generally, the certifications expire. They are usually related to a particular version, however. So once you have become an OCP to Oracle 7, you should always be an Oracle 7 OCP. You must take one or more upgrade exams to get the Oracle 8 OCP (OCP 8i or 9i, 10g OCP, OCP 11g OCP, etc..)
