Best router for streaming technology

Hello, I work with streaming technology, and I would like to know some references (names, links) on the best routers (wired) to the video streaming. (Send and receive)

Thank you!

  • Best quality for streaming

I have a few quality filmed, at 1920 x 1080. I want to encode a WMV or FLV file and resize it at 550 px horizontal, vertical 309. I get to these dimensions by dragging one of the two dimensions in the verified with forced SOUL. When I try to save this profile, I get an error message that it is an invalid image size. It seems that the dimensions must be integers, is that correct?

Secondly, I started with the preset of Windows Media, then selected one of the subsidiary presets on NTSC. In each case, the resulting video is poster, as if working with a different color palette.

I am trying to get to the image size and format that will give me for streaming high quality and who will not need to be re-resized when I embed into a web page.

What is the best way for me to do this?

    Joe Parsons

The encoding algorithms used do best when using multiples of 16. It is the most effective and gives you the best quality. To get more close to your original size, you can use 544 x 306. That will be much easier on the coding work better and faster. In comparison with the size of the original, the differences are minimal. hard to notice.

Check the flow rate of flow for the station (you can often check online). It is not anywhere near CD or higher.

  • Best router for incoming Windows remote access

    Hello
you have a question of a client that is located on an Active Directory Server with a box of Windows Server 2008 running the remote access server. What firewall might recommend that allow connections from the Internet on to the incoming client Windows box?

    See you soon,.
    / Mattias

The FVS336G in a connection between an 'internal' client and server RAS plays no role on the same local network and is not actually involved in out connections - it needs to have pptp passthrough, but that's all.

You may have completely disabled on your 336 port forwarding and you still get the results you report.

First question - the RAS have internet access?
Second question - what do you mean by "inbound NAT?

I have quit using pptp (ipsec spent) earlier but memory everything that is required on the router is to forward port 1723 for the SAR and if you use a dynamic WAN ip address, you must also configure a form any dynamic DNS - DynDNS has worked for me.

For the FVS338 (and probably the 336) - just to add a receptive service and select pptp in unrolling menu, select always allow, and enter the address of the RAS.

  • HP stream 11-d008tu: best practices for migrating to Windows 10?

Hey there, I have a HP flow 11-d0008tu and received the notification I can upgrade to Windows 10. I want to do a clean install with a downloaded ISO but knowledge first of all, it is better to upgrade so that you get the activation done.

Can someone give me some ideas on best practices for the upgrade? The stream has only 30GB HD so I have no recovery disk, I'll just do a recovery later on USB or SD card. When I do the upgrade can deselect recovery option or delete?

Also, any other suggestions appreciated, especially which helps make effective for small HD

    See you soon

Hi, I posted an installation procedure for Windows 10 fresh for the Tablet HP Stream here.  Also, I have a laptop 11 flow but do not have that yet. I think it must be the same because they both the same drive of mem 32 GB Hynix. A change would you probably want to use the 64-bit instead of 32-bit Windows 10 ISO file, the Tablet has only 1 GB of RAM.

  • Best settings for a wireless home network?

I want to get help on a somewhat complicated setup: my connection in optical fiber gets into my house to a room in the basement. I have a last generation Asus router, which spreads the signal through various Ethernet cables. Wi - fi is disabled, because it wouldn't reach anywhere. Upstairs, I have a new airport time capsule, which creates the main WiFi network for the home. However, it dose not brought into the world. In the box where I want to extend the signal, I have a 5th generation AirPort Extreme (it does not support the alternative signal) connected to an Ethernet jack.

    Now my questions:

    1. my Time Capsule should be set to bridge mode, because it is connected to a router? Do not forget that I can't exclude this router because it brings the signal via a cable to other places.

    2. If the answer to the above is Yes, is there a way to establish a network of wi - fi comments?

    3. What are the best settings for the Airport Extreme, which is supposed to extend the signal? It is better to create a new wifi network, as it is connected via Ethernet, or should I put it to extend an existing wifi network?

I hope that I have explained clearly, I'm only half of technology warned, and I am a bit lost...

    1. my Time Capsule should be set to bridge mode, because it is connected to a router? Do not forget that I can't exclude this router because it brings the signal via a cable to other places.

Own configuration of Apple software, AirPort utility you should implement in Bridge Mode time Capsule to avoid a network error called Double NAT. But, ironically, if you call Apple support, they will tell you 'ignore' the Double NAT error and run time Capsule as another router on the network.

Normally, you can avoid having a Double NAT error on the network, because that might lead to other problems, Apple boards so... If you call them... is controversial. Basically, it seems that Apple wants a router from Apple in charge of both the network possible... not another router.

So, you will need to decide what advice to Apple you want to try.

    2. If the answer to the above is Yes, is there a way to establish a network of wi - fi comments?

The feedback network option will not work correctly if the Capsule is configured in Bridge Mode.

    3. What are the best settings for the Airport Extreme, which is supposed to extend the signal? It is better to create a new wifi network, as it is connected via Ethernet, or should I put it to extend an existing wifi network?

"Extend a wireless network" is used only when the airport connects to another router from Apple using a Wi - Fi connection. Since you will use Ethernet to connect, you would use "create a wireless network" setting.

But, you won't have to worry about this if you are using Apple Configuration "Wizard" to set up the AirPort Extreme... it automatically applies the correct settings.

  • Best game for pc graphics card

    Hello

Please, I want to know what is the best graphic card game for pc. Help plssss...

Where to buy a card from the tip look closely dimensions. Sometimes, they are so big that they fit into your box. With the high-end models, you will find that their capacity is much greater than any current games can use. They are not for today's games, that they are made to provide graphical resources at future games. 2 big graphics card brands are GeForce and Radeon. Some players will tell you that GeForce is the way to go, while others swear Radeon cards are the best. I recommend trying to meet your needs to the card stats and ignoring the brand.

Video Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 ATI card

Sapphire uses the ATI Stream technology that accelerates even the most demanding applications. This card is also able to fully support DirectX 11 from Microsoft. It uses cutting-edge technology to improve performance. This includes 2 GB/512-bit GDDR5 memory interface advanced 40nm technology, 2nd generation engine TeraScale, 2.0 PCI bus interface x 16. These features improve performance by providing the best speed. It also uses the dynamic power for efficient use of resources. This is done through the ATI PowerPlay Technology.

    ZOTAC GeForce GTX 480

Zotac is the flagship NVIDIAvideo card. Zotac uses cinematic effects advanced as the blur of movement and depth of field. All of these factors combine to produce a 3D world that is very realistic. This effect is further reinforced the NVIDIA® PhysX™ effects. Phys NVIDIA on this card runs at twice the speed of previous models. The only problem with this card is heat management. Which means that the work of fan 100% at all times and produces a lot of noise. This can be a bit irritating. The cooling water can be used to get rid of the problem. The combination of excellent features offer incredible performance and graphics. The ray traced rendered 3D allows realistic images. Anti-aliasing high speed guarantees that all the jagged edges are smoothed out.

  • Best material for editing?

I want to upgrade my computer to edit it. I have an iMac 2011: 2,5 GHz, memory 4 GB, AMD Radeon HD 6750 M 512 MB. I plan to buy another iMac. with a budget of $2500, what would you recommend for best performance for editing? I would emphasise quality video card, memory RAM, or disk (4 cores, 7 carrots, fusion, etc...)?

Download video card with MOST of the vRAM.  That means generally that you will also get the quad core i7 with Turbo Boost technology (acts like one 8 cores when you need it - and presents itself as 8 cores with MenuMeters.) The 2013 iMac had a 'backdoor' easily add RAM, and if this is always the case - buy an extra set of 16G of Crucial or some other 3rd party and add it yourself - you will make savings (if I remember) about $200.  If I had to start everything, I would have also obtained the reader of the merger, but the internal (regular) hard drive in the iMac Gets a pretty decent read/write speed (about 130 MB/s) but not what you really want with video editing. The proposed internal SSD is fairly low, so, I generally recommend external SSD drives and their construction schedules. USB3 is fast. Love at first sight would be better, but it's still expensive. An SSD in USB3 is quite impressive (I get about 300-400 MB/s R/W for one and 370-435 on the other). You can get a USB3 box for $10-$40 (Amazon has a housing Kdlinks now, limited time, for only $9.95!) and you can find a 500 GB SSD for under $ 200 these days. I bought Crucial SSD (I have a little bit o 'too o' Scottish blood in me), but what I've read, the Samsung EVOs are among the fastest (~500MB/s).

-VRAM so Max it is possible! (- what it takes to get this top of the line card... graphics you have it.) - and lotsa RAM (you can buy 8 with mac + 16 crucial for 24 which will give respectable service) - fast external drives are a nice addition.

  • Can what comparison be made between time capsule and Smart RG s505 wireless modem router for wifi

Can what comparison be made between time capsule and Smart RG s505 wireless modem router for wifi

    Superior...

After all, the chip is mainly a modem.

Wireless is there but not designed as the primary connection.

Wireless 802.11n 300Mbps AP with 2 x 2 MIMO Wireless bridge, WDS multiple SSID, including isolated invited SSID WiFi QoS (WMM) and PowerSave wireless security: • Wi - Fi Protected Access (WPA, WPA2) • AES, TKIP, WEP encryptio

It is the Wireless N standard.

The TC is dual-band simultaneous AC1750... even if in fact apple never leaves anything use 300mbit on the 2.4 GHz is more like AC1450... It is also 3 streams on both bands not 2 x 2.

    The fact that aid.

The only thing to note is that a router from Apple can join never a router wireless not apple... so, there must always be plugged in by ethernet.

  • LAPN300 - the best configuration for 3 access points, while using the same SSID

    Hi all

What is the best configuration for 3 x LAPN300 located in various places around my house of 3 floors, access points if I want just one SSID?

I did some initial research which suggests that I can use the same SSID on all three, as long as they are on different channels. 1, 6 and 11 for example. In theory, then, as I wander around the House the client machine must auto swap to the AP with the signal stronger.

What do you think? What is the best way or do, or could suggest you something else?

As an aside... If I decided to create a second SSID for the guests at home, I would also want to add wireless isolation to this SSID. How would that be managing the DHCP server on the local network? How would be asked to connect to the SSID has never get an IP if they have been isolated from other clients on the local network?  Besides, how they see the router? The ANNUAL lets you specify exceptions to this isolation for this feature?  Alternatively, as I suspect, is the right isolation feature isolate them from other WLAN, not the LAN clients customers?

I did some testing and configuration of the AP with the same SSID and security will do what you want. Don't worry about setting the channel because the auto channel setting works with these devices and automatically adjusts the spacing between the appropriate channels.

Recommendation of the VPN_user is what you need if you want to isolate the SSID comments from the rest of your network clients.

Isolation of SSID of the AP will guard only wireless devices to communicate with each other on the same SSID on which it is enabled.

  • Need to modernize the modem; How do I 'plan' relocation WRT54G Router for wired / wireless

I went late to upgrade my modem, and from what I've read in the comments, do a modem/router combo doesn't seem to be the best thing to do in what concerns the issues of reliability and range.  So, I want to upgrade my modem & then use the same router/access point that I currently have.  However, I've read other users with problems by accessing the control panel after you connect to a new modem... so want to know the information that I need to have before starting this project.

Is this to say that I'm going to basically start early and set up my home network all over again?

I'm pretty tech-savy... but I do not enough to really launch the project & see where it takes me... I don't have the TIME!  Laughing out loud!

Thanks for any help/advice anyone can offer!

    Jane

Really, it depends on the type of settings that your ISP would put on the new modem. If the configuration of the new modem would be the same with the old, so there is no need for you to make any changes on the router. Simply connect the new modem, perform a powercycle by unplugging the power cord from the modem and router and it should work. However, if it is not, what you can do is to reset the router and reconfigure. The following links help you reconfigure the router after a reset.

  • RV220W v RV320 (best router to buy? Duplicate port?)

    Hey Cisco-ers,

Planning on buying a new business Router Firewall VPN in the next 24 hours and have a few questions that I would be grateful if someone could respond.

    1. I guess the most recent series of Cisco SMB router is the RV series with the rest having been that would be end of life?

    2. the more feature-rich and more powerful are the RV220W and the RV320?

    3. in addition to the integrated WiFi AP into the RV220W and the dual WAN in the RV320 there are all the other differences? More features in one over the other? I see that the RV320 might have a higher flow rate?

    4. the RV220W does not support port mirroring / SPAN only packet capture 1 MB of traffic (which, by today's standards, is not enough to get a specific look at the incoming/outgoing connections) but the RV320 not?

5 port mirroring is a big problem for me (to identify on my network bandwidth hungry devices!) so is it possible that put as a feature request for the RV220W? or is there a technical limitation? Is the physical material within a not as good RV220V?

Otherwise unless someone says something different it looks like the RV320 is the best router (rich in features and performance) you make less than £500? Please correct me if not.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi Matthew,

    OK, here go us:

    1. I guess the most recent series of Cisco SMB router is the RV series with the rest having been that would be end of life? I don't put any RV series for pasture (EoL) recently.

    2. the more feature-rich and more powerful are the RV220W and the RV320? The RV320 and the RV325 were recently launched. The RV220W has been on the market for some time - so it is natural that the newer models have more features. We take our experiences and suggestions from you all and incorporate them into future models.

    3. in addition to the integrated WiFi AP into the RV220W and the dual WAN in the RV320 there are all the other differences? More features in one over the other? I see that the RV320 might have a higher flow rate? The RV320 and the RV325 have SSL VPN, USB broadband with failover, double WAN, etc. They are better suited for a several device deployment vs. an all-in-one/network in a box...

    4. the RV220W does not support port mirroring / SPAN only packet capture 1 MB of traffic (which, by today's standards, is not enough to get a specific look at the incoming/outgoing connections) but the RV320 not? Back to the above statement. -We work effectively on the next gen RV220W - which will include 802.11 AC.

5 port mirroring is a big problem for me (to identify on my network bandwidth hungry devices!) so is it possible that put as a feature request for the RV220W? or is there a technical limitation?  Is the physical material within a not as good RV220V? We would prob not right at the request of feature on this particular model of Michael.

  • ACL logging on router for syslog

ACL logging on router for syslog

I need to monitor ports on the router to a particular host to a destination. I have an ACL as shown below

permit log host 192.168.0.10 ip host 10.0.0.1

    allow an ip

I have server syslog configuration, I see on the syslog server log messages, but there is no port information.

    Log message looks like

    "% S-6-acl IPACCESSLOGP:list permits 10.0.0.1 (0)-> 192.168.0.10 (0), xx packages.

I need to know which ports are host 10.0.0.1 uses the server 192.168.0.10

What is the best way to get this information.

    Thank you

Dominic provides a creative solution. And according to the requirements of the original post, it could be a very satisfactory solution.

But we can also provide an explanation of the problem and a solution for this. A very simple access list that allows traffic between a specific pair of guests receive the original message and then allow all ip traffic. The access list does not cover all the values for the Protocol ports. And it is the reason for the log messages do not have port information. If the access list does not review the port numbers the message cannot report port numbers. If you want the log message to include port numbers, then you must consider the port numbers in the access list. This version of the list is slightly more complex, but it will provide the port numbers you want:

permit udp host 10.0.0.1 host 192.168.0.10 between 0 65535 Journal

permit tcp host 10.0.0.1 host 192.168.0.10 between 0 65535 Journal

permit log host 192.168.0.10 ip host 10.0.0.1

    allow an ip
