Best way to export a massive amount of icons? (CS3)

Hello. I have a PSD file with text layers 300 and a background graphic with a transparent background. I need to export each layer of text that contains the background image as a PNG 24-bit transparent.

I was going to use a script 'export each layer as a file', but there is no support for PNG in CS3.

The only option I see is to create an action to export an individual icon. Then play the action on each text layer, which will take hours and be significant pain, because I'll have to rename each file so that they don't get copied to eachother.

I hope that someone out there has a solution!

I have a generic "Layer saver" script that you can try, it can be downloaded from:-

  • InDesign / best way to export for the Web?

    Hi guys,.

    I did a poster A2 (large size) and now I need to have the same image for webcast on the Internet. I guess it will be a 650 by 800 px pixeles.

    What is the best way to export this content to Internet?

    (1) I noticed that if I save the InDesign file to PDF format, even in the lowest quality of the text in small characters keeps perfectly crisp and clear, while the file is of very small size. Unfortunately the PDF cannot be used-i think - images included in a mailing list.

    (2) if I export the InDesign file even to the most high resolution available as a JPG - a traditional Internet standard image - text is vague and ill-defined, not to mention that the file is big enough.

    (3) should I exported to PDF and then open it in Photoshop and "Save for Web" in JPG? Photoshop has maybe a better engine export when as for images that InDesign... I don't know.

    I'm looking for a way to have well-defined text and clear, small size and image? I'm not sure I could use PDF here.

    Any help or ideas? It would be great

  • Best way to export from Indesign CS5 for Ipad presentation

    Hello, I want to create a portfolio of our work to put on an Ipad, so I can show it to my clients. Would be nice if I could slip through the different screens by scrolling with my finger. Now that I read a few articles about it, but still I can't find out what is the best way... Interactive PDF is not supported on Ipad (?) so I should create an e-book, but which is the best way? Or is it better to simply add a few images in my photofolder and simply scroll through them?

    Thank you very much for your answers!

    There you go. You already have the opportunity to browse the images and run them in a slide show. There is no need to complicate things with PDF/ebook.

  • Best way to export a 4:3 720 x 480 24 p for DVD animation

    We worked on an animation for the past two months and he is the first one we did.  It's going to go on a DVD and the project is 24 fps progressive.  The video looks extremely good in Premiere Pro, but when I export as a complient Mpeg2-DVD video folder becomes very degraded and a lot of the animation looks like very jagged.  What would be the best settings for this export to obtain a quality more close to the original.  The full video is only 22 minutes, so I'm not worried for space on the DVD.

    Thank you.

    Here's what I'd do.

    Install the codec on your system free Lagarith.  Export an intermediate Lagarith with the appropriate specifications.

    Install the free HC Encoder on your system, with AVISynth.  Read the different views on the web to make this work.

    Once you have no work, use the following parameters in the HC encoder. (Note the underscores).

  • What is the best way to have a significant amount of news stories on the site of muse?

    Hello, my company recently built a new site on muse from adobe.  We organize several magazine publications.  My boss wanted digital editions of magazines online and not having each individual story posted, so I thought that muse would work great for us, and it was.  But now it has changed its mind and wants it to view each story individually online and have it all searchable, including old stories.  I read that muse works best with 100 pages or less to a Web site, and after that which will run a lot slower and so that we can add all of these stories and keep an archive we have hundreds of pages.  Welcome us with business catalyst, so I do not believe that is an option to download the news stories there (please, correct me if I'm wrong).  is there another option for reporting host on the site other than to create hundreds of pages? Thank you very much for your help!

    For this, you can use accordion or composition. Add stories with label so that users can click on label for each story and this specific story will be displayed on the page.

    Apart from this, you can use any service of Blog and stories like blog notes:

  • Best way to export comments on a Mac?

    I'll have to export the comments so I can actually COPY the text to place in my document. INDD.

    I want to export them. But I can't find a program on Mac 10.6 that opens .fdf or .xdf without gibberish. I am not MS Word, single Pages/numbers/Iwork. If I open with Acrobat X, it reloads all the comments and I'm right where I was.

    Y at - it a trick magic or is - this?

    Here's a modified script that displays the page number, type, subject and text of the comment for each comment in the file, sorted by page number, and then type comment. It produced the format delimited by tabs, with each record separated by a return trolley/line combo. There may be some problems with the comments with content that contains carriage returns. I also noticed some debris with numbers of importing delimited by tabs. This could be improved by replacing each newline in the content by a space, which implies an addition of simple code.

    As before, the entire script can go in the mouse event to the top of a button. It will save the report to a file attachment in the document and invite you to record in an external file.

    (function () {

        // Make sure we get all current comments
        syncAnnotScan();

        // Get the comments in this document, sorted by page number
        var annots = getAnnots({nSortBy: ANSB_Page});

        // Alert the user and don't continue if there are no comments present
        if (!annots) {
            app.alert("There are no comments in this document.", 3);
            return;
        }

        // Further sort the annotations by type
        annots.sort(sortAnnots);

        // Initialize variables
        var s = "";
        var annot_summary_file = "annot_summary.txt";

        // Loop through the sorted comments and add tab delimited properties to output string
        for (var i = 0; i < annots.length; i++) {
            s += (annots[i].page + 1) + "\t";  // Page number
            s += annots[i].type + "\t";        // Comment type
            s += annots[i].subject + "\t";     // Comment subject (often similar to type)
            s += annots[i].contents + "\r\n";
        }

        // Remove the file attachment if it already exists
        if (dataObjects && getDataObject(annot_summary_file)) {
            removeDataObject({cName: annot_summary_file});
        }

        // Save output string to file attachment
        createDataObject({cName: annot_summary_file, cValue: s});

        // Prompt user to save file attachment
        exportDataObject({cName: annot_summary_file});

    })();

    // Sort function for comments
    function sortAnnots(a, b) {

        // Sort by type alphabetically for comments on the same page
        if (a.page == b.page) {
            if (a.type > b.type) return 1;
            if (a.type == b.type) return 0;

    When I place an icon on the home screen I want to change the label, I wish it were.

    I don't see in an integrated way to do this.

    You can name a bookmark all you want, but when you a site now pressure on the home screen and click on Edit, bookmarks are not always suggested as matches. The only way I can assure you that a referenced site is listed is to add some unique characters for the name of the bookmark that don't arise in the history of this site. Of course, this is taking away total control...

  • Best strategy of export of Fireworks in Dreamweaver

    I have created a navigation bar in Fireworks, and now I want to export in Dreamweaver.

    So I Went in Edition-> copy the Code HTML (shorthand for this is Ctrl + Alt + C)

    Now, what is the "best choice" among the choices of dialogue: AIR HTML, Dreamweaver HTML, generic HTML, GoLive HTML, XHTML AIR, Dreamweaver XHTML, XHTML generic or GoLive XHTML for a 'professional' of cross browser Web site?

    I only tried the 'Dreamweaver HTML Option' and resort to work well in my opinion rookie.

    I think that this technique could be at a cost of performance to my graphics or site speed. So use another strategy of export Fireworks to Dreamweaver?  I have the CS5 package to allow to use one of these support programs.

    Thank you

    INHO, the best way to export from Fireworks to Dreamweaver must first define your site in Dreamweaver and then export the Fireworks document to the active folder. Place your cursor where you want the navigation bar on your HTML page and choose Insert > Image objects > Fireworks HTML.

  • What is the best way to achieve this?

    What is the best to do the following?

    Form1 lists items that have a cost value

    Form2 is a form of invoice

    What is the best way to export goods of a value of cost of form1 to form2?

    A user would be making selections of point in form1 and save the form, and then send it or export data.

    Then form2 would retrieve the selections point of form1 and display cost values that I can sum up at the end of the form2.

    Thanks in advance for any advice!

    Hello

    If both forms have the same objects to the items and the same names, then export to xml of form1 and import of xml in form2 should work.

    Data in the xml file that does not match the names of the objects to form2 will be ignored.

    In both forms, objects that you want to export/import must have their liaison, the normal/name of the object value > Bindings tab.

  • Export to MS Word. Best way

    My giant print project is more or less done, and satisfactory in Indesign to PDF, but now I must prepare for an ebook.

    I can not open the Pandora's box that is epub and mobi. I don't want to.

    So in order to get an online service to do the job, I need to export the text to MS Word, they prefer to PDF or Indesign and then insert pictures, etc.

    I'm on a mac.

    I was going to just copy and paste from Indesign.

    I want to preserve as much formatting as possible (without headers, footers, etc.), and I'll recreate the etc. of table of contents in Word.

    Is to copy paste the best way?

    Is there a better way?

    Thank you very much.

    Thank you all.  Thank you very much FergyMac.  TextExporter is a dream! All formatting preserved beautifully.

  • What is the best way to import and export images from the 5 d Mark II?

    Hello

    I have just finished what I plan my first masterpiece of shooting film.  Shot on the Canon 5 d (1080 p, 24 fps), and the film looks amazing.  Now, I'm ready to start editing and now use creating lately, but I still have to figure out the proper conduct.  I want to know the best way to keep the resolution before I dive into this project.

    My questions:

    (1) what is the best way to start a new project and import the images without having to make while editing, in order to keep all the resolution and the originality of the source footage?

    (2) what is the best way / codec / format to export these images even once done editing to maintain than crisp 1080 p for which the 5 d is therefore counted?

    (3) what is the best way / codec / format for import and export / rendering between the first and after effects?  I speak especially of Visual effects and color correction.  I also a few sequences of 30 images per second that I intend to slow down in AE and then import into first.

    I know that it's wide enough, but as a solo Director I really need advice from someone.  Rarely, I finished my films with the same look crispy as images.  I need help of pipeline and really appreciate it!
